Effect of beeswax and combinations of its fractions on the oxidative stability of oleogels

Beeswax can be a good structuring agent for edible *** is controversy about its role in the oleogel oxidation *** study investigated the oxidative stability of oleogels and the impact of their composition and texture on this *** were created by structuring sunflower oil with beeswax or combinations of its fractions(6%w/w gelator).Preparative flash chromatography was used to obtain beeswax fractions,which had a diverse composition according to TLC and HPLS-ELSD(hydrocarbons,wax esters,free fatty acids,and alcohols).Different oxidation indices(Pv,Av,CDv,TOTOX,volatile organic compounds)of oleogels were evaluated,as well as their textural properties(firmness and Young’s modulus)after 20 days of storage at 35◦*** the tested samples,unstructured sunflower oil demonstrated the highest oxidative *** sample based on hydrocarbons and monoesters was the most stable of the oleogels *** is the most common volatile organic molecule generated during the oxidation of sunflower *** have a more complex profile of volatile compounds,including ketones,alcohols,and *** based oleogel’s induction period was the *** oxidation rate of oleogels and Young’s modulus(r2=0.9511,negative),as well as the concentration of free fatty acids(r2=0.8195,positive)had a strong *** results show that oleogels structured with beeswax fractions could be beneficial in fat-containing products with improved oxidation resistance.

This paper theoretically studies the impurity states and the effects of impurity concentration and configuration on the optical,electrical,and statistical properties of CdSe nanoplatelets(NPLs).An image charge-based model of electron-impurity interaction is *** charge-carrier energy spectra and corresponding wave functions depending on the impurity number and configuration are *** electron binding energies are calculated for different NPL *** is shown that the image charge-based interaction potential that arises due to the dielectric constants mismatch is much stronger than the interaction potential that does not take such a mismatch into ***,it is demonstrated that the binding energies are increasing with the number of *** calculate the canonical partition function using the energy levels of the electron,which in turn is used to obtain the mean energy,heat capacity,and entropy of the non-interacting electron *** thermodynamic properties of the non-interacting electron gas that depend on the geometric parameters of the NPL,impurity number,configuration,and temperature are studied.

Photometric and Spectroscopic Analysis of LBv Candidate J004341.84+411112.0 in M31

We study Luminous Blue variable(LBv)candidate J004341.84+411112.0 in the Andromeda *** present optical spectra of the object obtained with the 6 m telescope of BTA SAO *** candidate shows typical LBv features in its spectra:broad and strong hydrogen lines and the He I lines with P Cygni *** remarkable spectral resemblance to the well known LBv P Cygni suggests a common nature of the objects and supports LBv classification of J004341.84+*** estimate the temperature,reddening,radius and luminosity of the star using its spectral energy *** bolometric luminosity of the candidate(M_(bol)=-10.41±0.12 mag)is quite similar to those of known LBv stars in the Andromeda *** analyzed a ten year light curve of the object in R *** candidate demonstrates photometric variations of the order of 0.4 mag,with an overall brightness increasing trendΔR>0.1 ***,the corresponding color variations of the object are fully consistent with LBv behavior when a star become cooler and brighter in the optical spectral range with a nearly constant bolometric ***-type variability of the object,similarity of its spectrum and estimated luminosity to those of known LBvs allow us to classify J004341.84+411112.0 as an LBv.
