Urban living in large modern cities exerts considerable adverse effectson health and thus increases the risk of contracting several chronic kidney diseases (CKD). The prediction of CKDs has become a major task in urbanizedcountries. The primary objective of this work is to introduce and develop predictive analytics for predicting CKDs. However, prediction of huge samples isbecoming increasingly difficult. Meanwhile, Mapreduce provides a feasible framework for programming predictive algorithms with map and reduce functions.The relatively simple programming interface helps solve problems in the scalability and efficiency of predictive learning algorithms. In the proposed work, theiterative weighted map reduce framework is introduced for the effective management of large dataset samples. A binary classification problem is formulated usingensemble nonlinear support vector machines and random forests. Thus, instead ofusing the normal linear combination of kernel activations, the proposed work creates nonlinear combinations of kernel activations in prototype examples. Furthermore, different descriptors are combined in an ensemble of deep support vectormachines, where the product rule is used to combine probability estimates ofdifferent classifiers. Performance is evaluated in terms of the prediction accuracyand interpretability of the model and the results.

Exosomes,small tiny vesicle contains a large number of intracellular particles that employ to cause various diseases and prevent several pathological events as well in the human body.It is considered a“double-edged sword”,and depending on its biological source,the action of exosomes varies under physiological conditions.Also,the isolation and characterization of the exosomes should be performed accurately and the methodology also will vary depending on the exosome source.Moreover,the uptake of exosomes from the recipients’cells is a vital and initial step for all the physiological actions.There are different mechanisms present in the exosomes’cellular uptake to deliver their cargo to acceptor cells.Once the exosomal uptake takes place,it releases the intracellular particles that leads to activate the physiological response.Even though exosomes have lavish functions,there are some challenges associated with every step of their preparation to bring potential therapeutic efficacy.So,overcoming the pitfalls would give a desired quantity of exosomes with high purity.

reliable transmission is vital to the success of the next generation ofcommunications technologies and Fifth Generation (5G) networks. Many sensitive applications, such as eHealth and medical services, can benefit from a 5G network. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is a new field that fosters themaintenance of trust among various IoMT Device to Device (D2D) modern technologies. In IoMT the medical devices have to be connected through a wirelessnetwork and constantly needs to be self-configured to provide consistent and effi-cient data transmission. The medical devices need to be connected with sophisticated protocols and architecture to handle the synergy of the monitoring devices.Today, one of the commonly used algorithms in D2D communication is the Optimized Link State routing protocol (OLSr). The OLSr is considerably good ateffectively utilizing the bandwidth and reserving the paths. One of the majorattack against the OLSr is the Node isolation attack, also known as the Gray holedenial of service attack. The Gray hole attack exploits the vulnerabilities presentwith sharing the topological information of the network. The attackers may usethis topological information to maliciously disconnect the target nodes from theexisting network and stops rendering the communication services to the victimnode. Hence, considering the sensitivity and security concerns of the data usedin e-Health applications, these types of attacks must be detected and disabledproactively. In this work, a novel Node Authentication (NA) with OLSr is proposed. The simulation experiments illustrated that the proposed protocol has anexcellent Packet Delivery ratio, minimal End-End delay, and minimal Packet losswhen compared to the Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance victor (AODv) protocol andthe proposed authentication scheme was able to protect the OLSr protocol from anode isolation attack.

Novel Homomorphic Encryption for Mitigating Impersonation Attack in Fog Computing

Fog computing is a rapidly growing technology that aids in pipelining the possibility of mitigating breaches between the cloud and edge servers.It facil-itates the beneﬁts of the network edge with the maximized probability of offering interaction with the cloud.However,the fog computing characteristics are suscep-tible to counteract the challenges of security.The issues present with the Physical Layer Security(PLS)aspect in fog computing which included authentication,integrity,and conﬁdentiality has been considered as a reason for the potential issues leading to the security breaches.In this work,the Octonion Algebra-inspired Non-Commutative ring-based Fully Homomorphic Encryption Scheme(NCr-FHE)was proposed as a secrecy improvement technique to overcome the impersonation attack in cloud computing.The proposed approach was derived through the beneﬁts of Octonion algebra to facilitate the maximum security for big data-based applications.The major issues in the physical layer security which may potentially lead to the possible security issues were identiﬁed.The potential issues causing the impersonation attack in the Fog computing environment were identiﬁed.The proposed approach was compared with the existing encryption approaches and claimed as a robust approach to identify the impersonation attack for the fog and edge network.The computation cost of the proposed NCr-FHE is identiﬁed to be signiﬁcantly reduced by 7.18%,8.64%,9.42%,and 10.36%in terms of communication overhead for varying packet sizes,when compared to the benchmarked ECDH-DH,LHPPS,BF-PHE and SHE-PABF schemes.

The current research work proposed a novel optimization-based 2D-SIMM(Two-Dimensional Sine Iterative chaotic map with inﬁnite collapse Mod-ulation Map)model for image encryption.The proposed 2D-SIMM model is derived out of sine map and Iterative Chaotic Map with Inﬁnite Collapse(ICMIC).In this technique,scrambling effect is achieved with the help of Chaotic Shift Transform(CST).Chaotic Shift Transform is used to change the value of pixels in the input image while the substituted value is cyclically shifted according to the chaotic sequence generated by 2D-SIMM model.These chaotic sequences,generated using 2D-SIMM model,are sensitive to initial conditions.In the proposed algorithm,these initial conditions are optimized using JAYA optimization algorithm.Correlation coefﬁcient and entropy are considered asﬁtness functions in this study to evaluate the best solution for initial conditions.The simulation results clearly shows that the proposed algorithm achieved a better performance over existing algorithms.In addition,the vLSI implementation of the proposed algorithm was also carried out using Xilinx system generator.With optimization,the correlation coefﬁcient was-0.014096 and without optimization,it was 0.002585.

The development of non-linear loads at consumers has signiﬁcantly impacted power supply systems.Since,the poor power quality has been found in the three-phase distribution system due to unbalanced loads,harmonic current,undesired voltage regulation,and extreme reactive power demand.To overcome this issue,Distributed STATicCOMpensator(DSTATCOM)is *** is a shunt-connected voltage Source Converter(vSC)that has been utilized in distribution networks to balance the bus voltage in terms of enhancing reactive power control and power *** can provide both rapid and continuous capacitive and inductive mode compensation.A rectiﬁed resistive and inductive load eliminates current harmonics in a three-phase power supply.The synchronous fundamental DQ frame is a time-domain approach developed from three-phase system space vector transformations has been designed using MATLAB/Simulink.The DQ theory is used to produce the reference signal for the Pulse Width Modulation(PWM)generator.In addition,a traditional Propor-tional Integral Derivative(PID)controller is designed and compared with pro-posed soft computing approaches such as Fuzzy–PID and Artiﬁcial Neural Network(ANN-PID)and compared accurate reference current determination for Direct Current(DC)bus through DC link.An Analytical explores the pro-posed control strategies given to establish superior outcomes.Finally,total harmo-nic distortion analysis should be taken for performance analysis of the proposed system with IEEE standards.

In the recent decade,a significant increase in the penetration level of renewable energy sources(rESs)into the distribution grid is evident due to the world’s shift towards clean energy and to increase the reliability or inboard manner resiliency of electrical distribution system.rES based microgrids are the most favorable option available,especially to enhance resiliency.However,the integration of rES over the distribution grid would hamper the grid stability due to its stochastic nature under normal conditions.During extreme weather conditions,rES behavior is completely uncertain.Hence there is a need to eliminate the adverse effects caused by the rES and make the distribution grid more reliable and stable under normal and resilient conditions.To address these issues,many researchers proposed several methods to place energy storage units(ESUs)and microgrids(rES integrated),which can support critical loads at an optimal location in the distribution system during normal and extreme conditions,respectively.The aim of this article is to consolidate and review the research towards various approaches to formulate the problem(optimal location,allocation,and operation of ESU and microgrids to face regular and extreme weather condition)and tools to solve it for enhanced system flexibility and resiliency.Based on the review,a generalized methodology has been designed to adapt the inputs and address both conditions.At the end of the review,future aspects for ESU to strengthen resistance and resiliency of its own are presented,which can be helpful to further improve the reliability and resiliency of the distribution system.

Nasopharyngeal colonization of otopathogens in South Indian children with acuteotitis media -- A case control pilot study

Background: Acute otitis media (AOM) is an inflammatory disease of the middle ear causing significantmorbidity in early childhood. A pilot study was undertaken to identify the role of various risk factorsSouth Indian children with AOM, especially the role of nasopharyngeal otopathogens.Methodology: A prospective case control pilot study was conducted in children aged below six years,presenting to a single tertiary care from 2018 to 2019. Fifty cases with AOM and 45 age and gendermatched controls were recruited. Two nasopharyngeal swabs were collected, one was processed forbacterial culture. The other swab was processed according to the CDC recommended broth enrichmentmethod to identify carriage of S. pneumoniae. Subsequent serotyping was done by Quellung method andconventional sequential multiplex PCr.result: Otalgia was the major presentation seen in 92% of the children with AOM. None of the clinical anddemographic characteristics were found to be statistically significant between the cases and controls. Themost common otopathogen was S. pneumoniae (55%) followed by H. influenza (29%). The commonS. pneumoniae serotypes encountered were 11A and 19F.Nasopharyngeal colonization with S. pneumoniae[Or 6.57, p r14.18, p re significant risk factors for AOM inchildren. The risk increased with co-colonization (Or 13.89,p rengthens the significant association between nasopharyngeal colonization ofotopathogens and AOM as a risk factor that is enhanced by co-colonization.S. pneumoniae was the mainotopathogen in this population, serotypes 11A and 19F being the most common.
