The single-phase Mg-4Li-0.5Ca alloy was rolled at three different temperatures(250,300 and 350℃)and followed by annealing at 200°C for 10 *** evaluate the mechanical properties,the tensile test was conducted at a constant strain rate of 10^(-3)s^(-1).Factors influencing the tensile strength and strain hardening properties were assessed by microscopy,XRD and EBSD ***,Kocks-Mecking plots(K-M)were used to determine the different stages of strain hardening exhibited by the variously processed Mg-4Li-0.5Ca alloy test *** ultimate tensile strength has decreased as hot-rolling temperature in creases with increased *** strain hardening properties such as hardening capacity(Hc),strain hardening exponent(n)are increased significantly with an increase in hot rolling temperature and subsequent annealing.

The primary objective of this research is to delineate potential groundwater recharge zones in the Kadaladi taluk of Ramanathapuram,Tamil Nadu,India,using a combination of remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems(GIS)with the Analytical Hierarchical Process(AHP).various factors such as geology,geomorphology,soil,drainage,density,lineament density,slope,rainfall were analyzed at a specific *** layers were evaluated for quality and relevance using Saaty's scale,and then inte-grated using the weighted linear combination *** weights assigned to each layer and features were standardized using AHP and the Eigen vector technique,resulting in the final groundwater potential zone *** AHP method was used to normalize the scores following the assignment of weights to each criterion or factor based on Saaty's 9-point ***-wise matrix analysis was utilized to calculate the geometric mean and normalized weight for various *** groundwater recharge potential zone map was created by mathematically overlaying the normalized weighted *** layers indicating major elements influencing groundwater occurrence and recharge were derived from satellite images.2 Results indicate that approximately 21.8 km of the total area exhibits high potential for groundwater *** recharge is viable in areas with moderate slopes,particularly in the central and southeastern regions.

The low surface area,high recombination rate of photogenerated charge carriers,narrow visible range activity,and difficulty in the separation from cleaned solutions limit the wide application of g-C_(3)N_(4) as a ***,we have succeeded in developing a one-pot strategy to overcome the above-mentioned difficulties of g-C_(3)N_(4).The broadening of the visible-light response range and inducing magnetic nature to g-C_(3)N_(4) was succeeded by preparing a nanocomposite with Fe_(2)O_(3) via a facile solvothermal *** preparation method additionally imparted layer exfoliation of g-C_(3)N_(4) as evident from the XRD patterns and TEM *** strong interaction between the components is revealed from the XPS *** broadened visible-light absorbance of Fe_(2)O_(3)/g-C_(3)N_(4) with a Z-scheme photocatalytic degradation mechanism is well evident from the Uv-vis DRS analysis and PL measurement of the composite with terephthalic *** active species of photocatalysis were further investigated using scavenging studies in methylene blue degradation that revealed hydroxyl radicals and holes as the major contributors to the activity of Fe_(2)O_(3)/g-C_(3)N_(4).

We propose an active learning scheme for automatically sampling a minimum number of uncorrelated configurations for fitting the Gaussian Approximation Potential(GAP).Our active learning scheme consists of an unsupervised machine learning(ML)scheme coupled with a Bayesian optimization technique that evaluates the GAP *** apply this scheme to a Hafnium dioxide(HfO2)dataset generated from a“melt-quench”ab initio molecular dynamics(AIMD)*** results show that the active learning scheme,with no prior knowledge of the dataset,is able to extract a configuration that reaches the required energy fit ***,molecular dynamics(MD)simulations performed using this active learned GAP model on 6144 atom systems of amorphous and liquid state elucidate the structural properties of HfO2 with near ab initio precision and quench rates(i.e.,1.0 K/ps)not accessible via *** melt and amorphous X-ray structural factors generated from our simulation are in good agreement with *** addition,the calculated diffusion constants are in good agreement with previous ab initio studies.

The high-performance computing paradigm needs high-speed switching fabrics to meet the heavy traffic generated by their *** switching fabrics are efficiently driven by the deployed scheduling *** this paper,we proposed two scheduling algorithms for input queued switches whose operations are based on ranking *** first,we proposed a Simple 2-Bit(S2B)scheme which uses binary ranking procedure and queue size for scheduling the ***,the virtual Output Queue(vOQ)set with maximum number of empty queues receives higher rank than other vOQ’*** simulation,we showed S2B has better throughput performance than Highest Ranking First(HRF)arbitration under uniform,and non-uniform traffic *** further improve the throughput-delay performance,an Enhanced 2-Bit(E2B)approach is *** approach adopts an integer representation for rank,which is the number of empty queues in a vOQ *** simulation result shows E2B outperforms S2B and HRF scheduling algorithms with maximum throughput-delay ***,the algorithms are simulated under hotspot traffic and E2B proves to be more efficient.

Microgrids(μ-grids)are gaining increased interest around the world for supplying cheap and clean *** this paper,aμ-grid comprising a wind turbine generator(WTG)and diesel generator(DG)is *** is one of most practical and demanding systems suitable for the present energy crisis in isolated or rural ***,wind energy is intermittent in nature while load demand changes ***,aμ-grid can experience large frequency and power *** speed governor of the DG tries to minimize the frequency and power deviations inμ-grid though its operation is slow and cannot adequately minimize system *** paper proposes a novel arrangement based on a dual structured fuzzy(DSF)whose structure changes according to the switching limit with a reduced rule *** has the capability to switch between proportional and integral actions and hence improves the frequency regularization of theμ-*** proposed strategy is tested in aμ-grid and the results considering step load alteration,load alteration at different instants of time,nonstop changing load request are compared with some of the well published methods to validate the effectiveness and simplicity of the present *** addition,it shows that ultra-capacitor establishment in aμ-grid has a positive impact in minimizing system deviations with DSF for the studied cases.

The discovery of cancer stem cells caused a paradigm shift in the concepts of origin and development of colorectal cancer. Several unresolved questions remain in this field though. Are colorectal cancer stem cells the cause or an effect of the disease? How do cancer stem cells assist in colorectal tumor dissemination to distant organs? What are the molecular or environmental factors affecting the roles of these cells in colorectal cancer? Through this review, we investigate the key findings until now and attempt to elucidate the origins, physical properties, microenvironmental niches, as well as the molecular signaling network that support the existence, self-renewal, plasticity, quiescence, and the overall maintenance of cancer stem cells in colorectal cancer. Increasing data show that the cancer stem cells play a crucial role not only in the establishment of the primary colorectal tumor but also in the distant spread of the disease. Hence, we will also look at the mechanisms adopted by cancer stem cells to influence the development of metastasis and evade therapeutic targeting and its role in the overall disease prognosis. Finally, we will illustrate the importance of understanding the biology of these cells to develop improved clinical strategies to tackle colorectal cancer.

Nonylphenol in bivalves and sediments in the northeast coast of China

To understand nonylphenol （NP） contamination in the northeast coastal environment in China, NP was determined in 19 sediment and 20 bivalve samples collected during November 2005. NP was identified in all sediment samples in the range of 8.8 to 1.0 × 10^3 ng/g dw （dry weight）, with an average of 0.12 × 10^3 ng/g dw. Most of the bivalve samples （oysters and mussels） contained detectable amounts of NP that ranged from ND （not detected） to 7.6 × 10^3 ng/g dw, with an average value of 0.79 × 10^3 ng/g dw. These results indicated that NP is ubiquitous in sediments and bivalves from the northeast coast of China, and are even present in bivalves sold as seafood. Serious contamination with NP was recorded off the coast of Bohai Strait and in semi-enclosed coastal environment such as Jiaozhou Bay and Liaodong Bay. Possible environmental and human health implications were understood in this study.
