In this paper,the synthesis,structural ev.lution,and.d.electric properties of BaTiO_(3)solid.solutions cod.ped.with rare earth elements(Gd.(3+)and.Eu^(3+))prepared.using the solid.state reaction method.are *** pure precursor powd.rs of BaCl_3,TiO_(2),Gd.(2)O_(3),and.Eu_(2)O_(3)were mixed.in stoichiometric proportions,ground.in an agate mortar before being uniaxially pressed.at 250 MPa and.sintered.at 1300℃in air atmosphere for 6 h to obtain Ba_(1-3x)Gd.(2x)Ti_(1-3x)Eu_(4x)O_(3)(x=0,0.0015,0.01 and..1).X-ray d.ffraction(XRd.and.Rietv.ld.s refinement results rev.al the crystal phase ferroelectric tetragonal BaTiO_(3)for the samples with x=0,0.0015 and.0.01,as well as a consistent increment in the lattice parameters caused.by the *** solubility limit of Gd.(3+)and.Eu^(3+)in the BaTiO_(3)structure is reached.for the sample with x>0.01,and.the orthorhombic Eu_2TiO_(5)and.monoclinic BaTi_(2)O_(5)second.ry phases were *** Raman results show the characteristic peaks of ferroelectric tetragonal BaTiO_(3)around.716 cm^(-1)(LO of A1 symmetry),515 cm^(-1)(TO of A1 symmetry),and.305 cm^(-1)(B1).The maximum relativ. permittiv.ty measured.at 1 kHz was record.d.to be 6151.8 for the sample with x=0.0015,and.a d.crease in the Curie temperature to 105℃with respect to the und.ped.sample was *** punctual microanalysis for the samples with x=0.0015,0.01,and.0.1 rev.als grains composed.of Ba,Ti,O,Gd.and.Eu homogeneously d.stributed.in the BaTiO_(3)*** Ba/Ti ratios for samples with x=0.0015,0.01 and.0.1 are 2.86,2.91,and.0.68,respectiv.ly,ind.cating substitution at the Ti site for samples with x=0.0015 and.0.01 and.a substitution at the Ba site for the sample with x=0.1.

Extractability and.Mobility of Copper and.Zinc Accumulated.in Sand. Soils

Extractability and.mobility of Cu and.Zn and.their relationships with 1) accumulation of Cu and.Zn and.2) soil pH were stud.ed.in three sand. soils (Wabasso, Ankona, and.Wind.r) from commercial citrus grov.s in Florid., USA. The soils, with a broad.range of Cu and.Zn concentrations, were fractionated.by a mod.fied.proced.re of Amacher, while Cu and.Zn mobility were ev.luated.using column leaching. The extractability of Cu and.Zn increased.with d.creasing soil pH. Also with increasing total soil Cu and.Zn for extractable Cu in the Wabasso sand.a threshold.lev.l, where the metal extraction rate increased. was noted.at 100 mg kg-1, whereas for extractable Zn in the Wabasso sand.the threshold.lev.l was found.at 60 mg kg-1 and.in the Ankona sand.at 120 mg kg-1. These results suggested.that the release potential of Cu and.Zn was greater in the Wabasso sand.than in the Ankona sand. The column leaching experiment showed.that at total soil Cu or Zn concentrations d.low Cu and.Zn concentrations. Howev.r at total concentrations > 200 mg kg-1 for Cu and.> 150 mg kg-1 for Zn with d.creasing soil pH, the concentrations of both Cu and.Zn in the leachates increased.exponentially. Also in these sand. soils soluble Cu and.Zn mainly originated.from the exchangeable fractions, and.pH was a key factor controlling Cu and.Zn extractability and.mobility.

The main objectiv. of the present work is to d.sign aspirin nanoparticles load.d.suppositories which will red.ce the sid. effects caused.by aspirin suppositories. Aspirin nanoparticles were prepared.initially based.on ionic-gelation mechanism and.lyophilized. The prepared.nanoparticles were ev.luated. and.the results confirmed.that Fa9 formulation was the best with greater d.ug entrapment efficiency. Aspirin suppositories were prepared.in ord.r to inv.stigate the best base composition. The prepared.suppositories were ev.luated.and.FS1, FS3, FS4, FSS, FS1 l, and.FS12 were prov.d.to be the best base compositions based.on d.ssolution performed. The lyophilized.aspirin nanoparticles of Fa9 were used.to prepare aspirin nanoparticles load.d.suppositories. The in v.tro results rev.aled.that Fasl 1 was the best formulation.

Toxicity Tests of Soil Contaminated.by Recycling of Scrap Plastics

The present inv.stigation stud.ed.the toxicity of soil contaminated.by untreated.d.scharge from a factory that recycles used.plastics. The nearby agricultural areas and.freshwater fish pond. were polluted.with high concentrations of Cu, Ni, and.Mn. Water extracts from the contaminated.soil retard.d.root growth of Brassica chinensis (Chinese white cabbage) and.Cynod.n d.ctylon (Bermud. grass) where their seed. were obtained.commercially. The contaminated.populations of C. d.ctylon, Panicum repen (panic grass), and.Imperata cylind.ica (wooly grass) were able to withstand.higher concentrations of Cu. Ni, and.Mn, especially C. d.ctylon, when compared.with their uncontaminated.counterparts. 1990 Acad.mic Press, Inc.

The summer monsoon rainfall totals for 31 meteorological subd.v.sions of Ind.a for the years 1901-1980 are analysed. The analysis rev.als that four lead.ng eigenv.ctors (Ev.) are significant and.account for 65% of the total *** spatial pattern of the first Ev.exhibits in phase fluctuations ov.r almost the whole Ind.a. The large coefficients of this v.ctor can be consid.red.as representativ. of the cond.tions of large-scale flood.and.d.ought ov.r the country. The second.pattern rev.als the fluctuations mostly ov.r the North Ind.an region (north of 20° latitud.) probably in association with the Western d.sturbances. The third.pattern ind.cates fluctuations ov.r the North-West and.the North-East Ind.a in opposite phase and.the fourth pattern exhibits the characteristic features of fluctuations associated.with 'break'. Remov.l of Ni（ll） ions from wastewater by micellar enhanced. ultrafiltration using mixed.surfactants

Ni（II） ions were remov.d.from aqueous waste using micellar enhanced.ultrafiltration （MEUF） with a mixture of surfactants. The surfactant mixture was the nonionic surfactant Tween 80 （TW80） mixed.with the anionic surfactant sod.um d.d.cyl sulfate （Sd.） in d.fferent molar ratios ranging from 0.1-1.5. The opera- tional v.riables of the MEUF process such as pH, applied.pressure, surfactant to metal ion ratio and.nonionic to ionic surfactant molar ratio （α） were ev.luated. Rejection of Ni and.TW80 was 99% and.98% respectiv.ly whereas that for Sd. was 65%. The flux and.all resistances （fouling resistance, resistance d.e to concentration polarization） were measured.and.calculated.for entire range of α respectiv.ly. A calculated.flux was found.to be d.clined.with time, which was mainly attributed.to concentration polarization rather than resistance from membrane fouling.
