Anisotropy of magnetic Susceptibility(AmS) data from a ～27.8 m thick soft sedimentary mud sequence(～10.5-3.25 k yrs) from the Spituk Palaeolake Sequence(SPSS) of Holocene age, located in the northern bank of the Indus River in the Leh-Ladakh Himalaya, show effects of tectonic versus climate dynamics responsible for the Himalayan sedimentation. The sedimentary sequence, consisting of alternating of aeolian sand and glacio-fluvial mud flow deposits, has been subdivided into an older Last Glacier Phase I(LGP 1) and a younger Last Glacier Phase II(LGP 2), where the termination of each phase is marked by the occurrence of gravel beds of thickness ≤1 m, which were deposited due to glacial melting. The present AmS data along with previously published information on sedimentology confirm that the mudflow deposits of the LGP 1 and LGP 2phases were deposited in a lacustrine environment under glacio-fluvial conditions. However, a weak fluvial flow towards NW and NE could have existed for the LGP 1 and LGP 2, respectively. The glacial beds terminating LGP 1 and LGP 2 appear to have formed by climatic warming and tectonic activity, respectively. Hence, the Holocene Himalayan sedimentation was influenced by both climatic and tectonic activities. However, the thickness of the gravel bed(～0.8 m) terminating LGP 2 occupies only ～ 2.8 vol % of the total studied thickness～28 m, of the SPSS in the present study, which indicated a lesser control of tectonism in the growth of the Himalaya in and around the study area.

Interfacial solar desalination is an emerging technology for freshwater production,but the finding of novel solar evaporators is still *** the present research,graphitic carbon foam(CF)was synthesized from the upcycling of waste plastic polyethylene terephthalate(PET)waste bottles functionalized with carrollite CuCo_(2)S_(4) as a photothermal *** characterization[X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),and scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy(SEm-EDS)]confirms the functionalization of carrollite CuCo_(2)S_(4) on graphitic carbon *** Uv-vis spectroscopy analysis showed an enhanced optical absorption in the Uv-vis-near IR region(>96%)for functionalized CuCo_(2)S_(4)-CF foam compared to carbon foam(67%).The interfacial solar desalination experiment presented a significantly enhanced evaporation rate of 2.4 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1) for CuCo_(2)S_(4)-CF compared to that of CF(1.60 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1))and that of CuCo_(2)S_(4)(1.60 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1)).The obtained results proved that the newly synthesized CuCo_(2)S_(4)-CF from the upcycled plastic into new material for the photothermal desalination process can enhance the practice of a circular economy to produce fresh water.

LaFe_(11.8)Si_(1.2)/10 wt%Ce_(60)Co_(40) composites were prepared by spark plasma sintering and subsequent diffusion annealing.A novel core-shell structure is observed with the LaFe11.8Si1.2 particles as the core and the(La,Ce)_(2)(Fe,Co,Si)_(17)(2:17)phase as the *** diffusion annealing time(t_(a))increases,this core-shell structure is replaced by the formation of the(La,Ce)_(1)(Fe,Co,Si)_(13) *** at 1323 K for 12 h results in samples with(-ΔSm)^(max) of 9.30 J/(kg·K)(Δμ0H=2 T),good mechanical properties((σbc)^(max)=402 mPa,ε=4.21%)and thermal conductivity of 8.7 W/(m·K).Thus,bulk composites with excellent comprehensive properties for magnetic refrigeration are obtained in this work.

通过Om、EBSD和TEm等研究了mn微合金化对新型近αTi-Al-mo-Zr-Fe-B合金微观组织和力学性能的影响。结果表明:添加0.5%(质量分数)的mn元素可以将合金的铸态微观组织从3.28μm细化到2.65μm,使其抗拉伸强度从882 mPa提高到966 mPa,但延伸率从7.8%下降到5.1%。锻造后的2种合金的晶粒尺寸趋于一致,微观组织趋于等轴化且mn微合金化后的组织更加均匀。锻造后,Ti-Al-mo-Zr-Fe-B合金的抗拉伸强度和延伸率增加到966 mPa和16.4%,而含有0.5%(质量分数)mn元素的合金具有更高的抗拉伸强度,达到了1079 mPa,同时延伸率达到了15.8%。结论表明,强度的提高可以归因于mn元素的固溶强化效应,同时mn微合金化处理使合金中的Al元素富集于α相,有利于提高合金的强度和塑性。
