Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV)is the main cause of diarrhea,vomiting,and mortality in pigs,which results in devastating economic loss to the pig industry around the *** recent years,the advent of RNAsequencing technologies has led to delineate host responses at late stages of PEDV infection;however,the comparative analysis of host responses to early-stage infection of virulent and avirulent PEDV strains is currently ***,using the BGI DNBSEQ RNA-sequencing,we performed global gene expression profiles of pig intestinal epithelial cells infected with virulent(GDS01)or avirulent(HX)PEDV strains for 3,6,and 12 *** was observed that over half of all significantly dysregulated genes in both infection groups exhibited a down-regulated expression *** enrichment analyses indicated that the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in the GDS01 group were predominantly related to autophagy and apoptosis,whereas the genes showing the differential expression in the HX group were strongly enriched in immune responses/*** the DEGs,the functional association of TLR3 and IFIT2 genes with the HX and GDS01 strains replication was experimentally validated by TLR3 inhibition and IFIT2 overexpression systems in cultured ***3 expression was found to inhibit HX strain,but not GDS01 strain,replication by enhancing the IFIT2 expression in infected *** conclusion,our study highlights similarities and differences in gene expression patterns and cellular processes/pathways altered at the early-stage infection of PEDV virulent and avirulent *** findings may provide a foundation for establishing novel therapies to control PEDV infection.

Evaluation of soil loss severity and ecological restoration approach for sustainable agriculture in the Hindu Kush, Karakoram and Himalaya region

Soil erosion has resulted in removal of the topsoils containing fine soil particles and plant nutrients, causing decrease in soil fertility in the Hindu Kush, Karakoram and Himalaya(HKH) region. The existing production of cereal crop grains has been reduced to one third of the potential crop grains production owing to land degradation and poor farming practices. It is necessary to assess risk of soil loss and identify appropriate controlling measures to address issues of low agriculture productivity and water insecurity in the region. In the present study, severity of soil loss was predicted using Revised Universal Loss Equation(RUSLE) and ecological measures were identified for sustainable mountain agriculture in the HKH region of Upper Indus Basin, Pakistan. Overall 62.6% area was found to have very low risk of soil loss, i.e., 100 t/(ha·yr) in about 6.8% and 7.4% areas respectively. The mean rate of soil loss was about 41.9 t/(ha·yr) in the Hindu Kush, 31.1 t/(ha·yr) in the Himalayas, 18.8 t/(ha·yr) in the Karakoram and overall 29.7 t/(ha·yr) in the three HKH ranges. As such no considerable measures have been adopted by the communities for restoration of the degraded areas except raising fruit/farm trees and supporting limited social forestry for their livelihoods. The slopes cleared for cultivation and susceptible to erosion may be stabilized through sowing/planting of multi-purpose plant species and formation of proper bench terraces. The conservation of forest ecosystem and pastures at higher elevations would help in reducing overland water flow, risk of flash flood hazard and minimizing sediment loads in the downstream. Several studies on functionally graded materials(FGMs)have been done by researchers,but few studies have dealt with the impact of the modification of the properties of materials with regard to the functional propagation of the waves in *** work aims to explore the effects of changing compositional characteristics and the volume fraction of the constituent of plate materials regarding the wave propagation response of thick plates of *** model is based on a higher-order theory and a new displacement field with four unknowns that introduce indeterminate integral variables with a hyperbolic arcsine *** FGM plate is assumed to consist of a mixture of metal and ceramic,and its properties change depending on the power functions of the thickness of the plate,such as linear,quadratic,cubic,and inverse *** utilizing Hamilton’s principle,general formulae of the wave propagation were obtained to establish wave modes and phase velocity curves of the wave propagation in a functionally graded plate,including the effects of changing compositional characteristics of materials.

以柔性自适应连续体机器人和高精度刚性机器人为代表的机械臂的发展标志着机器人技术的重要进步。这些机械臂凭借其结构灵活性、顺从性和精确性,有望在各种应用场景中带来重大影响。然而,这些系统的复杂性也给它们的建模和控制带来了巨大的挑战,特别是以灵活性著称的连续体机器人,这限制了它们的广泛应用。本文研究机械臂的轨迹跟踪控制问题,提出一种无模型控制策略,以克服传统基于模型的方法的局限性。传统的基于模型的方法需要精确的的运动学和动力学模型,但连续体机器人固有灵活性使这些方法面临着特殊的困难。同时,现有的无模型方法虽然不需要明确的机器人模型,但往往为了计算效率而牺牲控制精度。本文提出一种新型连续四元神经动力学方法,该方法使用零化神经动力学方法为机械臂构建无模型控制方案。本文的核心贡献是一种新颖的控制方法,并且利用零化神经动力学来应对实时计算时变雅可比矩阵伪逆的挑战。本文提出的方法方法集成了四个神经动力学子系统,通过协同设计来高效地解决复杂的控制任务。其中两个子系统解决逆运动学问题和雅可比矩阵估计,而另外两个子系统用于计算其伪逆。这种无逆策略显著提高了计算效率,并且有利于硬件实现,与传统控制方法相比有了很大的改进。考虑到计算机运算的数字化特性,本文进一步提出四时间步离散四元神经动力学模型。该模型是由连续四元神经动力学离散化得到的,专门为算法的数字化硬件实现而定制,进一步增强了所提出方法的实用性。为了克服速度级控制在某些机器人应用中的局限性,本文工作的另一个重要进展是将控制策略扩展到软体和刚性机械臂的加速度级别。这一转变显著提高了控制系统对动态变化和外力的快速适应能力,从而实现更敏捷和响应更快的控制机制。最后本文进行了全面的理论分析、仿真和实验验证,以验证所提出基于离散四元神经动力学模型的控制方案的有效性、精确性和计算效率。研究结果表明,本文所提出的方法在速度和加速度两个层面上实现了机械臂的精确轨迹跟踪控制,在不确定性和干扰下表现出较强的稳定性和鲁棒性。

In this editorial,we comment on the article by Liu et al published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Diabetes(Relationship between GCKR gene rs780094 polymorphism and type 2 diabetes with albuminuria).Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)is a chronic disorder characterized by dysregulated glucose *** persistent elevated blood glucose level in T2DM significantly increases the risk of developing severe complications,including cardiovascular disease,re-tinopathy,neuropathy,and nephropathy.T2DM arises from a complex interplay between genetic,epigenetic,and environmental *** genomic studies have identified numerous genetic variations associated with an increased risk of ***,variations within the glucokinase regulatory protein(GCKR)gene have been linked to heightened susceptibility to T2DM and its associated *** clinical trial by Liu et al further elucidates the role of the GCKR rs780094 polymorphism in T2DM and nephropathy *** findings demonstrate that individuals carrying the CT or TT genotype at the GCKR rs780094 locus are at a higher risk of developing T2DM with albuminuria compared to those with the CC *** findings highlight the importance of genetic testing and risk assessment in T2DM to develop effective preventive strategies and personalized treatment plans.

Surface activation of viscose textiles via air,argon,and oxygen dielectric barrier discharge plasma:influence of peak voltage

This paper discusses the use of atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma treatment to enhance the surface qualities of viscose *** study explores the effects of different plasma gases,discharge voltages,and exposure times on the treated *** findings emphasize the importance of optimizing the plasma's peak voltage to achieve the desired surface treatment *** document also presents data on colour strength,wettability,colour fastness,and tensile strength of the treated fabrics,as well as scanning electron microscopy(SEM)analysis of surface morphology and chemical analysis using fouriertransition infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and energy dispersive X-ray(EDX).The results show that treatment at a peak voltage of 11.83 k V is more efficient,except for the tensile strength which is enhanced at a peak voltage of 8.92 k *** oxygen plasma treatment significantly improves the colour strength,which exhibits an increase from 11 to *** intensified colour was attributed to the significant influence of electrostatic interactions between the charged hydroxyl groups of the oxygen plasma treated viscose textiles and the dye molecules,which enhance the *** oxygen DBD plasma exhibits a higher ability to enhance the properties of textiles when compared to air and argon *** study presents a sustainable,economical,secure,and ecologically friendly approach to explore new fabrics for specific uses.

Colonoscopy is an integral part of the lower bowel care and is generally considered a potentially safe diagnostic and therapeutic procedure performed as a daycare outpatient *** is associated with different complications that are not limited to adverse events related to the bowel preparation solutions used,the sedatives used,but to the procedure related as well including bleeding and *** to the extra-luminal abdominal organs during colonoscopy are uncommon,however,serious complications related to the procedure have been reported infrequently in the *** threatening injuries to the spleen,liver,pancreas,mesentery,and urinary bladder have been reported as early as in *** injuries should not be overlooked by clinicians and *** increasing abdominal pain,abdominal distension,and hemodynamic instability in absence of rectal bleeding should raise the possibility of severe organ *** and hepatic injury following colonoscopy are usually serious and may be life *** conservative management may help,yet they usually need interventional radiology or surgical *** pancreatitis following colonoscopy is usually mild and is mostly managed *** mechanism of abdominal organ injuries during colonoscopy is not fully understood,however many risk factors have been identified,which can be classified as-organ related,procedure related,and local abdominal *** colonoscopy and prior intra-abdominal adhesions are probably the most relevant risk factors for these *** lateral position,avoidance of looping and excessive force during the procedure would probably reduce the risk of such injuries.
