Complex derivatives valuation: applying the Least-Squares Monte Carlo Simulation Method with several polynomial basis

Background:This article investigates the Least-Squares Monte Carlo Method by using different polynomial basis in American Asian Options *** standard approach in the option pricing literature is to choose the basis *** comparing four different polynomial basis we show that the choice of basis interferes in the option's ***:We assess Least-Squares Method performance in pricing four different American Asian Options by using four polynomial basis:Power,Laguerre,Legendre and Hermite *** every American Asian Option priced,three sets of parameters are used in order to evaluate it ***:We show that the choice of the basis interferes in the option's price by showing that one of them converges to the option's value faster than any other by using fewer simulated *** the case of an Amerasian call option,for example,we find that the preferable polynomial basis is Hermite *** an Amerasian put option,the Power polynomial basis is *** empirical outcome is theoretically unpredictable,since in principle all basis can be indistinctly used when pricing the ***:In this article The Least-Squares Monte Carlo Method performance is assessed in pricing four different types of American Asian Options by using four different polynomial basis through three different sets of *** results suggest that one polynomial basis is best suited to perform the method when pricing an American Asian *** all basis can be indistinctly used when pricing the ***,our results does not confirm *** find that when pricing an American Asian put option,Power A is better than the other basis we have studied here whereas when pricing an American Asian call,Hermite A is better.

Endovascular treatment of patients with high-risk symptomatic intracranial vertebrobasilar stenoses:long-term outcomes

background and purpose We present the long-term outcome after endovascular treatment of symptomatic intracranial posterior circulation *** 30 patients with symptomatic intracranial posterior circulation stenoses exceeding 70% underwent endovascular treatment between 2006 and *** regarding presentation,follow-up,procedure details,complications and imaging follow-up were *** surviving patients underwent a phone interview to establish their current Modified Ranking Scales(MRS).results Stenoses of the intracranial vertebral artery(24 patients)and basilar artery(6 patients)were treated with stents(10 patients),angioplasty alone(13 patients)or both(5 patients).Two procedures *** patient(3.3%)died after the procedure,two had stroke(6.6%)and one a subarachnoid haemorrhage without ensuing *** patients(6.7%)had asymptomatic complications(dissection and pseudoaneurysm).The median clinical follow-up time was 7 *** the 29 patients who survived the procedure,6 died due to unrelated *** patients(10%)had recurrent strokes and two(6.7%)a transient ischaemic attack in the posterior *** patients had subsequent middle cerebral artery ***(16.7%)patients had recurrent stenoses and three(10%)occlusions of the treated *** was performed in six patients,three(10%)with PTA and three(10%)with *** MRS scores were as follows:nine MRS 0,eight MRS 1,four MRS 2 and one MRS *** Long-term follow-up after endovascular treatment of high-risk symptomatic intracranial posterior circulation stenoses shows few stroke *** of intracranial vertebral artery stenosis may be beneficial in appropriately selected patients.

Dear Editor,The coronavirus disease of 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has necessitated that semi-urgent and elective medical cases,including cancer screenings,are postponed in hospitals worldwide to accommodate the increasing number of patients with severe COVID-19 symptoms[1-4].Consequently,several reports from the first COVID-19 wave in spring 2020 showed a significant decrease in new cancer diagnoses as well as cancer therapy and screenings[5,6].

金雀异黄素对脂多糖诱导的巨噬细胞MAPK和TLR信号转导通路的影响

目的研究金雀异黄素对脂多糖(LPS)诱导的巨噬细胞丝裂原活化蛋白激酶(MAPK)信号转导通路和Toll样受体(TLR)通路的影响。方法用100 ng/mL脂多糖和金雀异黄素分别处理RAW264.7巨噬细胞不同时间后,采用Western blot法检测对MAPK信号通路蛋白磷酸化的影响;采用RT2 ProfilerTMPCR芯片检测金雀异黄素对LPS诱导的TLR信号转导通路基因表达的影响。结果 LPS能够显著诱导蛋白p38和p42/44磷酸化,激活MAPK信号通路,金雀异黄素能够加强其作用,同时,LPS能够显著诱导TLR信号转导通路的细胞因子基因表达,包括IFN-β、IL-10、IL-1α、IL-1β、IL-6、TNF-α、集落刺激因子2(CSF-2)、CSF-3、趋化因子CCL2和CXCL10、环氧合酶2(COX-2)、NF-κB1和IκB-α等,金雀异黄素能够显著降低这些上调基因的表达。结论金雀异黄素能够显著增强LPS激活的MAPK信号通路并抑制TLR信号通路的激活。

目的研究脾酪氨酸激酶（Syk）在LtX3诱导的Toll样受体4（TLR4）信号转导通路的作用。方法用100ng／mL脂多糖和不同浓度Syk抑制剂分别处理RAW264．7巨噬细胞后，采用Alarmar blue方法检测细胞增殖；采用Griess试剂检测细胞培养液中NO的含量；Westernblot法检测诱导型一氧化氮合成酶（iNOS）的蛋白表达；ELISA检测巨噬细胞中TNF-α和IL-6含量，RAW—Blue巨噬细胞检测核因子KB（NF—KB）和激活子蛋白-1（AP-1）的活化。结果Syk抑制剂作用于RAW264．7巨噬细胞24h，（0．5～14．0）μmol／L的Syk抑制剂对细胞增殖无明显影响，但当剂量超过1．5μmol／L时，能显著抑制LPS刺激的RAW264．7巨噬细胞NO的产生和iNOS的蛋白表达，抑制TNF-α和IL-6的产生（P〈0．01）以及NF—KB和AP-1的激活。结论Syk抑制剂降低LPS诱导的巨噬细胞分泌NO和iNOS的蛋白表达及TNF-α和IL-6的释放，通过下调Syk下游TLR4受体信号传导通路的蛋白，进而显著降低转录因子NF-KB和AP-1的激活有关。

Specifying the role of BAK1-interacting receptor-like kinase 3 in brassinosteroid signaling

Brassinosteroids(BR) are involved in the control of several developmental processes ranging from root elongation to senescence and adaptation to environmental cues. Thus, BR perception and signaling have to be precisely regulated. One regulator is BRI1-associated kinase 1(BAK1)-interacting receptor-like kinase 3(BIR3). In the absence of BR, BIR3 forms complexes with BR insensitive 1(BRI1) and ***, the biophysical and energetic requirements for complex formation in the absence of the ligand have yet to be determined. Using computational modeling, we simulated the potential complexes between the cytoplasmic domains of BAK1, BRI1 and BIR3. Our calculations and experimental data confirm the interaction of BIR3 Rewith BAK1 and BRI1, with the BAK1 BIR3 interaction clearly favored. Furthermore, we demonstrate that BIR3 and BRI1 share the same interaction site with BAK1. This suggests a competition between BIR3 and BRI1 for binding to BAK1, which results in preferential binding of BIR3 to BAK1 in the absence of the ligand thereby preventing the active participation of BAK1 in BR signaling. Our model also suggests that BAK1 and BRI1 can interact even while BAK1 is in complex with BIR3 at an additional binding site of BAK1 that does not allow active BR signaling.
