The lack of modern technology in healthcare has led to the death of thousands of lives worldwide due to COVID-19 since its *** Internet of Things(IoT)along with other technologies like Machine Learning can revolutionize the traditional healthcare *** of reactive healthcare systems,IoT technology combined with machine learning and edge computing can deliver proactive and preventive healthcare *** this study,a novel healthcare edge-assisted framework has been proposed to detect and prognosticate the COVID-19 suspects in the initial phases to stop the transmission of coronavirus *** proposed framework is based on edge computing to provide personalized healthcare facilities with minimal latency,short response time,and optimal energy *** this paper,the COVID-19 primary novel dataset has been used for experimental purposes employing various classification-based machine learning *** proposed models were validated using kcross-validation to ensure the consistency of *** on the experimental results,our proposed models have recorded good accuracies with highest of 97.767%by Support Vector *** to the findings of experiments,the proposed conceptual model will aid in the early detection and prediction of COVID-19 suspects,as well as continuous monitoring of the patient in order to provide emergency care in case of medical volatile situation.

Prognostic value of hematological parameters in older adult patients with acute coronary syndrome undergoing coronary intervention:a single centre prospective study

BACKGROUND Cardiovascular disease is a significant contributor to the disease burden in geriatric *** systemic inflammation is thought to be the cause of age-related changes in the bone marrow and a major risk factor for *** purpose of the study was to assess the accuracy of these hematological biomarkers in predicting 30-day mortality in older patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).METHODS This was a prospective observational study of 601 older adult patients(age>60 years)with ACS who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention over two years(2017-2019).The relationship between baseline hematological parameters and mortality was assessed during the 30-day *** regression analysis and receiver operating characteristic curve analysis were done to evaluate for diagnostic accuracy of various hematological *** The mean age of presentation was 77±17 *** mean neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)value was 5.07±4.90 and the mean platelet-lymphocyte ratio(PLR)value was 108.65±*** univariate analysis,total leucocyte count[odds ratio(OR)=0.85,P=0.021],hematocrit(OR=0.91,P=0.018),NLR(OR=1.10,P=0.001)and PLR(OR=1.05,P=0.001)were associated with *** receiver operating characteristic curve analysis,NLR predicted mortality with 68.1%and PLR with 65.7%*** multivariate analysis,NLR(OR=1.096,95%CI:1.006-1.15,P=0.035)was an independent predictor of 30-day *** For the risk classification of all elderly ACS patients,we highly advise using NLR rather than the total white blood cell count.

Dynamics of Caputo fractional-order SIRV model:The effects of imperfect vaccination on disease transmission

Though vaccination protects individuals against many infectious diseases,such protection does not always last forever since a few vaccinated individuals could lose their lifelong immunity and eventually become *** study,therefore,determines the effects of imperfect vaccination and memory index on the spread of diseases through the Caputo fractional-order SIRV(Susceptible-Infected-Recovered-Vaccinated)epidemic *** properties of the new model including the conditions for the existence of a unique solution determined through the fixed-point theory and the conditions for the existence of a positive solution of the model obtained via the Mittag-Leffler function along with the Laplace transformation-are thoroughly ***,our simulation results report that an increase in the imperfect vaccination force increases the population of infected *** the memory effect,the higher“memory”the epidemic system has of past states(which corresponds to decreasing values of fractionalorder parameter),the greater the peaks and magnitudes of infection shaping the epidemiological system dynamics.

Spinel ferrites exhibit exceptional magnetic properties,making them a distinctive class of magnetic *** sol-gel technique was utilized for the synthesis of spinel ferrites with the chemical formula Co_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Ce_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4). Heat storage properties of phase change materials(PCMs) are essential characteristics that perform a key role in thermal heat energy storage *** thermal properties of PCMs can be improved by developing metal foam/PCM *** addition of metal foam in PCMs has a significant effect on the thermal characteristics of *** this paper,the heat storage properties of two different metal foam/PCM composites were experimentally *** behavior of paraffin in metal foam(copper and iron-nickel)/paraffin composites concerning pure paraffin at a constant heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2) in three directions simultaneously(x,y,and z) was *** was infiltrated into copper and iron-nickel foams to develop composite materials which resulted in enhancing the thermal conductivity of the paraffin.A comparative analysis is made on the heat storage properties of paraffin in copper and iron-nickel foams/paraffin *** temperature distribution during the phase transition process is experimentally *** comparison indicates that temperature uniformity in copper foam/paraffin composite is better than in iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite and pure paraffin at the same heat *** results show that at heat flux of 1000 W/m^(2),the heat storage time for copper foam/paraffin composite is 20.63% of that of iron-nickel foam/paraffin composite.

Infectious diseases caused by arboviruses are a public health concern in ***,studies on data prevalence and threats posed by arboviruses are *** study investigated the seroprevalence of arboviruses in a healthy population in Pakistan,including severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus(SFTSV),Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus(CCHFV),Tamdy virus(TAMV),and Karshi virus(KSIV)based on a newly established luciferase immunoprecipitation system(LIPS)assays,and Zika virus(ZIKV)by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA).Neutralizing activities against these arboviruses were further examined from the antibody positive *** results showed that the seroprevalence of SFTSV,CCHFV,TAMV,KSIV,and ZIKV was 17.37%,7.58%,4.41%,1.10%,and 6.48%,respectively,and neutralizing to SFTSV(1.79%),CCHFV(2.62%),and ZIKV(0.69%)were identified,as well as to the SFTSV-related Guertu virus(GTV,0.83%).Risk factors associated with the incidence of exposure and levels of antibody response were ***,co-exposure to different arboviruses was demonstrated,as thirty-seven individuals were having antibodies against multiple viruses and thirteen showed neutralizing ***,individuals aged40 years,and outdoor workers had a high risk of exposure to *** these results reveal the substantial risks of infection with arboviruses in Pakistan,and indicate the threat from co-exposure to multiple *** findings raise the need for further epidemiologic investigation in expanded regions and populations and the necessity to improve health surveillance in Pakistan.

Room and cryogenic deformation behavior of AZ61 and AZ61-xCaO(x=0.5,1 wt.%)alloy

This study investigates the influence of CaO(0.5,1(wt.%))alloying on the microstructural evolution,texture development and deformation behavior of AZ61 magnesium *** uniaxial tension tests at room(RT)and cryogenic(CT,-150℃)temperature were performed to investigate the twinability and dislocation behavior and its consequent effect on flow stress,ductility and strain hardening *** results showed that the AZ61-1CaO exhibited superior strength/ductility synergy at RT with a yield strength(YS)of 223 MPa and a ductility of 23% as compared to AZ61(178 MPa,18.5%)and AZ61-0.5CaO(198 MPa,21%).Similar trend was witnessed for all the samples during CT deformation,where increase in the YS and decrease in ductility were *** Mtex tools based in-grain misorientation axis(IGMA)analysis of RT deformed samples revealed the higher activities of prismatic slip in AZ61-CaO,which led to superior ***,subsequent EBSD analysis of CT deformed samples showed the increased fraction of fine{10-12}tension twins and nucleation of multiple{10-12}twin variants caused by higher local stress concentration at the grain boundaries,which imposed the strengthening by twin-twin ***,the detailed investigations on strengthening contributors showed that the dislocation strengthening has the highest contribution towards strength in all samples.
