Polygon clipping is of great importance in computer *** of the popular algorithms to clip a polygon is Cohan–Sutherland Hodgeman algorithm which is based on line ***–Sutherland Hodgeman algorithm clips the polygon against the given rectangular clip window with the help of line clipping ***–Sutherland algorithm requires traversing the polygon in anti clockwise direction(positive orientation).In this work we propose an efficient polygon clipping algorithm against a rectangular clip *** algorithm uses parametric representation of polygon *** the concept of point clipping,we can find required intersection points of edges of polygon with clip window *** suited numerical illustrations are used to explain the proposed polygon clipping *** proposed algorithm is computationally less expensive and comprehensive.

Transition in the rate-dependent mechanical response of rock was investigated due to the presence of impersistent joint with different infill *** types of samples,***,jointed with no grouting,jointed and grouted with cement,and jointed and grouted with epoxy,were fabricated using model material.A series of dynamic split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB) tests was conducted on prepared samples with strain rates varying between 53-130 salong with static uniaxial compression tests(10s).Progression of fracture/failure along samples was monitored using high-speed imaging and digital image correlation(DIC).Strength was observed to be significantly lower for jointed samples as compared to intact ***,the increasing trend of strength with strain rates remained similar for all types of *** was observed to be a better grout due to greater improvement in the strength of epoxy grouted jointed samples than cement grouted samples under both static and dynamic *** changes were observed in fracture behavior(initiation,pattern and mechanism)with strain rate for intact and jointed unfilled/grouted *** was dominated by shear and tensile cracks at high strain rates compared to tensile cracks at low strain rates in all *** static loading conditions,the location of cracks initiation shifts away from joint tips with increasing strain rate and depending upon existing infill conditions(unfilled/grouted).

In the present paper,we report a reproducible,cost effective,fast response method for detection of malathion and its effects on leukocytes in different human blood *** methods（UV-Vis spectrometry）and Fourier transform infrared coupled with solid phase extraction were applied for analyzing malathion content in human blood *** spiking levels of malathion in the range of 0.1-1.7μg/mL were extracted from blood plasma samples using *** present active functional groups（C=0;P-O-C;-OH;P=S）were also *** recovery rate of malathion was 80%±4.5%.The calculated correlation coefficient was 0.9799,indicating the linearity of the *** limit of detection（LOD）and limit of quantification（LOQ）were（0.1-1.7）μg/mL and（0.3-1.5）μg/mL,***〈1.0μg/mL showed no significant change while higher levels of malathion exposure（1.5μg/mL and 3.0｜ig/mL）reduced the number of white blood *** conclusion,the spectroscopic results may be useful to understand the mechanism of other pesticides such as methyl parathion and parathion.

Fault current magnitude in a microgrid depends upon its mode of operation,namely,grid-connected mode or islanded *** on the type of fault in a given mode,separate protection schemes are generally *** the change in microgrid operating mode,the protection scheme needs to be modified which is uneconomical and time *** this paper,a novel optimal protection coordination scheme is proposed,one which enables a common optimal relay setting which is valid in both operating modes of the *** this con-text,a common optimal protection scheme is introduced for dual setting directional overcurrent relays(DOCRs)using a combination of various standard relay *** with the two variables,i.e.,time multiplier setting(TMS)and plug setting(PS)for conventional directional overcurrent relay,dual setting DOCRs are augmented with a third variable of relay characteristics identifier(RCI),which is responsible for selecting optimal relay characteristics from the standard relay characteristics according to the IEC-60255 *** relay coordination problem is formulated as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)problem,and the settings of relays are optimally determined using the genetic algorithm(GA)and the grey wolf optimization(GWO)*** validate the superiority of the pro-posed protection scheme,the distribution parts of the IEEE-14 and IEEE-30 bus benchmark systems are considered.

Computer gaming is one of the most common activities that individuals are indulged in their usual activities concerning interactive systembased *** processing is an essential aspect of mental rotation(MR)in playing *** studies have explored how objects’features affect theMRprocess;however,non-isomorphic 2Dand 3D objects lack a fair *** addition,the effects of these features on brain activation during the MR in computer-games have been less *** study investigates how dimensionality and angular disparity affect brain activation duringMRin ***(electroencephalogram)data were recorded from sixty healthy adults while playing an MR-based computer *** 2D and 3D visual objects with convex and reflex angular disparity were presented in the ***-based permutation tests were applied on EEG spectral power for frequency range 3.5–30 Hz to identify significant spatio-spectral ***,the band-specific hemispheric lateralization was evaluated to investigate task-specific *** results indicated higher alpha desynchronization in the left hemisphere during MR compared to *** fronto-parietal areas showed neural activations during the game with convex angular disparities and 3D objects,for a frequency range of 7.8–14.2Hz and 7.8–10.5Hz,*** areas also showed activations during the game with reflex angular disparities and 2D objects,but for narrower frequency bands,i.e.,8.0–10.0 Hz and 11.0–11.7 Hz,*** hemispheric dominance was observed for alpha and beta ***,the right parietal region was notably more dominant for convex angular disparity and 3D ***,the results showed higher neural activities elicited by convex angular disparities and 3D objects in the game compared to the reflex angles and *** findings suggest future applications,such as cognitive modeling and controlled MR training using computer g

In performing a gaming task,mental rotation(MR)is one of the important aspects of visuospatial *** involves dorsal-ventral pathways of the *** objects/models used in computer-games play a crucial role in gaming experience of the *** visuospatial characteristics of the objects used in the computer-game influence the engagement of dorsal-ventral visual *** current study investigates how the objects’visuospatial characteristics(i.e.,angular disparity and dimensionality)in an MR-based computer-game influence the cortical activities in dorsalventral visual *** the factors have two levels,angular disparity:convex angle(CA)*** angle(RA)and dimensionality:2D *** healthy adults,aged,18-29 years(M=21.6)were recruited for the study and randomly assigned to four gaming conditions i.e.,15 participants in each *** multichannel electroencephalogram(EEG)data were recorded from 60 healthy adults while playing the *** source reconstruction was done for∼3000 sources inside the brain using the Dynamic Imaging of Coherent Sources(DICS)beamforming method forθ1(4-5.75),θ2(5.75-7.5),α1(7.5-9),α2(9-11),α3(11-13),β1(13-17.25),β2(17.25-21.5)Hz frequency *** reconstructed neuronal sources were segmented into 68 functionally parcellated brain regions,and the percentage of active sources for each region was ***,the differences across the 68 regions among the four gaming conditions were evaluated using the percentage of active *** differences in activation for the dorsal-ventral pathways and some additional brain regions were observed among the four *** game with 2D objects and CA showed higher activation than that with 3D objects and RA,*** dorsal pathway was found to be more active in contrast to the ventral *** findings suggest that angular disparity and dimensionality in MR influence the engagement of dorsal-ventral visual pathways in such a way that angular disparit

An analytic drain current model is presented for doped short-channel double-gate MOSFETs with a Gaussian-like doping profile in the vertical direction of the channel. The present model is valid in linear and satura- tion regions of device operation. The drain current variation with various device parameters has been demonstrated. The model is made more physical by incorporating the channel length modulation effect. Parameters like transcon- ductance and drain conductance that are important in assessing the analog performance of the device have also been formulated. The model results are validated by numerical simulation results obtained by using the commercially available ATLAS^TM, a two dimensional device simulator from SILVACO.

PM2.5 and PM2.5 lo concentrations, elemental constituents, and sources in a densely populated coastal industrial area （Trombay, Mumbai） were investigated in 2010 and *** PM2.s and PM2.s lo concentra- tions were 13.50-71.60 and 22.40-127.78 p^g/m3, respectively. The daily PM25 concentrations exceeded the Indian Central Pollution Control Board limit （60 μg/m3） several days in winter. Of the elements analyzed, Si then Al had the highest concentrations in PM2.5- 10, but black carbon then Si had the highest concentrations in PM2.s. The element concentrations varied widely by season. Al, Ca, Fe, Si, and Ti con- centrations were highest in summer, Cl, Mg, and Na concentrations were highest in the monsoon season, and the other trace metal concentrations in both PM2.5 and PM2.5-10 were highest in winter. The PM2.5 and PM2.5-10 sources were apportioned by positive matrix factorization. PM2.5 and PM2.5-10 had six dominant sources, crustal material （8.7% and 25.3%, respectively）, sea salt spray （6.1% and 15.0%, respectively）, coal/biomass combustion （25.5% and 13.8%, respectively）, fuel oil combustion （19.0% and 11.2%, respectively）, road traffic （ 17.7% and 12.6%, respectively）, and the metal industry （ 10.6% and 7.0%, respectively）. Anthropogenic sources clearly contributed most to PM2.5 but natural sources contributed most to PM2.5-10.
