＜正＞Mechanical Design plays an essential role in engineering,and hence is an impertat research *** the Chairman of a forthcoming important international conference,the GTM’2000 to be held in July 2000,the author provides the latest information of the trend and development in Mechanical Design based on the review of about 150 submissions to the *** mechanical design research conducted at the Nottingham Tyrent University is also briefly presented in this paper,including intelligent hybrid system for design integration,Intemet-bhased collaboration,adaptive optimisation,3-D simulation and numerical analysis for worm gears,and others.
