Challenges in the understanding of three-dimensional(3D)brain networks by simultaneously recording both surface and intracortical areas of brain signals remain due to the difficulties of constructing mechanical design and spatial limitations of the implanted ***,we present a foldable and flexible 3D neural prosthetic that facilitates the 3D mapping of complex neural circuits with high spatiotemporal dynamics from the intracortical to cortical *** device is the tool to map the 3D neural transmission through sophisticatedly designed four flexible penetrating shanks and surface electrode arrays in one integrated *** demonstrate the potential possibilities of identifying correlations of neural activities from the intracortical area to cortical regions through continuous monitoring of electrophysiological *** also exploited the structural properties of the device to record synchronized signals of single spikes evoked by unidirectional total whisker *** platform offers opportunities to clarify unpredictable 3D neural pathways and provides a next-generation neural interface.

Hip External Rotator Strength and Compensatory Movement in Three Different Positions

Measuring intrinsic hip external rotator strength (ER) without compensatory pelvic motion and activation of the sartorius is important for preventing or rehabilitating lower extremity injuries. However, the optimal method for measuring intrinsic hip ER muscle strength while minimizing compensatory pelvic motions and activation of the sartorius is unclear. The purpose of this study is to compare measurements of hip ER strength, compensatory pelvic motion, and sartorius activation in the sitting, prone, and sidelying positions. Thirty-one healthy subjects (16 males and 15 females) were recruited for this study. Hip ER strength, pelvic kinematics, and sartorius muscle activation were measured during maximal isometric contraction of the hip ER in the sitting, prone, and sidelying positions. Hip ER strength was measured using a load-cell-type strength-measurement sensor. Pelvic kinematics was measured using an electromagnetic motion-tracking sensor. Electromyography was used to measure sartorius muscle activity. Data were analyzed using one-way repeated-measures analysis of variance. The result showed that hip ER strength and sartorius muscle activation were significantly lower in the sidelying compared with the sitting and prone positions (p < 0.01). Pelvic anteroposterior tilting was significantly greater in the sitting compared with the prone and sidelying positions (p < 0.01). Pelvic rotation differed significantly among positions (p < 0.01). Pelvic lateral tilting was significantly greater in the prone compared with the sitting position (p < 0.017). Compensatory pelvic motion and sartorius muscle activation were lower when hip ER strength measurements were made in the sidelying position. Therefore, the sidelying position is effective for measuring selective intrinsic hip ER strength.

Taiwan’s administrative divisions have been changed several times throughout *** the end of 2010,Taiwan Region(including Taiwan Island and its off-shore islands)is divided administratively into five municipalities(直轄市),three cities(市),and 14 counties(縣).And in 2014,Taoyuan County was designated a municipality because its population is over 200 million *** this administration division,this paper is attempted to discuss the issue of water resource utilization with a comparative perspective in the six municipalities from north to south:Taipei City(台北市),New Taipei City(新北市),Taoyuan City(桃園市),Taichung City(台中市),Tainan City(台南市),and Kaohsiung City(高雄市).Statistics of population and fresh water provision will be utilized to analyze the related *** is hoped that through this comparative study,the strength and limitation of each municipality in terms of water resource utilization can be illustrated and evaluated.
