In this paper, we explore the spanning simplicial complex of wheel graph Wn on vertex set [n]. Combinatorial properties of the spanning simplicial complex of wheel graph are discussed, which are then used to compute the f-vector and Hilbert series of face ring k[Δs(Wn)] for the spanning simplicial complex Δs(Wn). moreover, the associated primes of the facet ideal IF(Δs(Wn)) are also computed.

Spiral garnet porphyroblasts are known to record lengthy periods of deformation and metamorphism by preserving single or multiple FIAs(Foliation Intersection Axis)formed normal to tectonic shortening *** to technological advances in X-ray computed micro-tomography(XCmT),FIAs can now be readily determined in relatively large samples in contrast to previous methods that require the preparation of a set of radial vertical and horizontal thin sections of *** scanning not only alleviates tedious thin section based procedures but also illuminates the complete internal architecture of a rock sample allowing three-dimensional(3D)quantitative shape analysis of an individual porphyroblast as well as precise measurement of *** applied the technique to a sample from the Hunza Valley in the Karakoram metamorphic complex(KmC),NW Himalayas,containing numerous garnet porphyroblasts with spiral-shaped inclusion *** XCmT imaging reveals an E-W trending FIA within the sample,which is consistent with orthogonal N-S collision of the India-Kohistan Island Arc with *** long axes(X_(GT))have variable plunges that define a broad sub-vertical maximum and a small sub-horizontal *** X_(GT) principle maxima lie at N-090 and *** maxima lie at N-020 and *** relationships between X_(GT) axes and FIA orientation in the sample suggest that porphyroblast shapes are controlled by the geometry of the lens-shaped microlithons in which they tend to nucleate and *** orientation of inclusion trails and matrix foliations in the sample are correlated with three discrete tectono-metamorphic events that respectively produced andalusite,sillimanite and kyanite in the *** staurolite growth in the sample reveals how the rocks extruded to the surface via a significant role of roll-on tectonics,which can be correlated with the Central Himalayas.

The effects of gravitomagnetic force on plasma oscillations are investigated using the kinetic theory of homogeneous electrically neutral plasma in the absence of external electric or magnetic field. The random phase assumption is employed neglecting the thermal motion of the electrons with respect to a fixed ion background. It is found that the gravitomagnetic force reduces the characteristic frequency of the plasma thus enhancing the refractive index of the medium. The estimates for the predicted effects are given for a typical white dwarf, pulsar, and neutron star.

Nitriding molybdenum: Effects of duration and fill gas pressure when using 100-Hz pulse DC discharge technique

molybdenum is nitrided by a 100-Hz pulsed DC glow discharge technique for various time durations and fill gas pressures to study the effects on the surface properties of molybdenum. X-ray diffractometry （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEm）, and atomic force microscopy （AFm） are used for the structural and morphological analysis of the nitrided layers. Vickers＇ microhardness tester is utilized to investigate surface microhardness. Phase analysis shows the formation of more molybdenum nitride molecules for longer nitriding durations at fill gas pressures of 2 mbar and 3 mbar （1 bar = 105 Pa）. A considerable increase in surface microhardness （approximately by a factor of 2） is observed for longer duration （10 h） and 2-mbar pressure. Longer duration （10 h） and 2-mbar fill gas pressure favors the formation of homogeneous, smooth, hard layers by the incorporation of more nitrogen.

A mathematical study is developed for the electro-osmotic flow of a nonNewtonian fluid in a wavy microchannel in which a Bingham viscoplastic fluid model is *** electric potential distributions,a Poisson-Boltzmann equation is employed in the presence of an electrical double layer(EDL).The analytical solutions of dimensionless boundary value problems are obtained with the Debye-Huckel theory,the lubrication theory,and the long wavelength *** effects of the Debyelength parameter,the plug flow width,the Helmholtz-Smoluchowski velocity,and the Joule heating on the normalized temperature,the velocity,the pressure gradient,the volumetric flow rate,and the Nusselt number for heat transfer are evaluated in detail using *** analysis provides important findings regarding heat transfer in electroosmotic flows through a wavy microchannel.

The effects of axisymmetric flow of a Powell-Eyring fluid over an impermeable radially stretching surface are presented. Characteristics of the heat transfer process are analyzed with a more realistic condition named the convective boundary condition. Governing equations for the flow problem are derived by the boundary layer approximations. The modeled highly coupled partial differential system is converted into a system of ordinary differential equations with acceptable similarity transformations. The convergent series solutions for the resulting system are constructed and analyzed. Optimal values are obtained and presented in a numerical form using an optimal homotopy analysis method （OHAm）. The rheological characteristics of different parameters of the velocity and temperature profiles are presented graphically. Tabular variations of the skin friction coefficient and the Nusselt number are also calculated. It is observed that the temperature distribution shows opposite behavior for Prandtl and Biot numbers. Furthermore, the rate of heating/cooling is higher for both the Prandtl and Biot numbers.

Au/cellulose-PEPC/Au surface-type humidity sensors were fabricated by drop-casting cellulose and poly-N-epoxypropylcarbazole （PEPC） blend thin films. A blend of 2wt% of each cellulose and PEPC in benzol was used for the deposition of humidity sensing films. Blend films were deposited on glass substrates with preliminary deposited surface-type gold electrodes. Films of different thicknesses of cellulose and PEPC composite were deposited by drop-casting technique. A change in electrical resistance and capacitance of the fabricated devices was observed by increasing the relative humidity in the range of 0-95% RH. It was observed that the capacitances of the sensors increase, while their resistances decrease with increasing the relative humidity. The sensors were connected to op-amp square wave oscillators. It was observed that with increasing the relative humidity, the oscillator＇s frequencies were also increased in the range of 4.2-12.0 kHz for 65μm thick film sample, 4.1-9.0 kHz for 88μm thick film sample, and 4.2-9.0 kHz for 210μm sample. Effects of film thickness on the oscillator＇s frequency with respect to humidity were also investigated. This polymer humidity sensor controlled oscillator can be used for short-range and long-range remote systems at environmental monitoring and assessment of the humidity level.

Todays,most Iraqi cities suffer from extremely hot-dry climate for long periods throughout the ***,most urban patterns that exist inside these cities are not suitable for this harsh conditions and lead to an increase in the value of the urban Heat Island(uHI)***,this will increase outdoor human thermal discomfort as well as energy consumption and air pollution in *** study attempts to evaluate the effect of uHI mitigation strategies on outdoor human thermal comfort in three different common types of urban patterns in the biggest and most populated city in Iraq,*** different mitigation strategies are used here-vegetation,cool materials,and urban geometry-to build 18 different ***-dimensional numerical software ENVI-met 4.2 is utilised to analyse and assess the studied *** input data for simulations process are based on two meteorological stations in Baghdad:Iraqi meteorological Organization&Seismology,and Iraqi Agrometeorological *** measurements are taken in a pedestrian *** results of different scenarios are compared based on their effect on human thermal *** thermal comfort is assessed according to Predicted mean Vote index,as mentioned in ISO 7730 *** study provides a better understanding of the role of uHI mitigation strategies on human thermal comfort in the outdoor spaces of Baghdad’s residential *** can help generate guidelines of urban design and planning practices for better thermal performance in hot and dry cities.
