Total fragmentation cross section for the reaction 158A Pb ions ＋ Cu target is measured using the most sensitive track detector CR-39. Measured values are compared with calculations. Exposures of target-detector stack with 158A P5 projectiles are made at CERN-SPS beam facility. Results of calibration of CR-39 detector in a charge region （63 ≤ Z ≤ 83） are also reported, which can be used for high energy particle identification using CR-39 and in determination of partial charge changing cross sections. The charge resolution δz achieved by this technique is about 0.2e. A systematic dependence of total fragmentation cross section on target properties is revealed and the corresponding results are presented.

Primary explosives are utilized as a reliable initiator for secondary explosives in an extensive range of military and civilian operations. Heavy-metal-based primary explosives are moderate performing, more sensitive, and environmentally hazardous, posing a direct and indirect threat to health and ***, heavy-metal-based primaries have been replaced by environment-friendly metal-based primary explosives, such as potassium complexes. This review presents not only a summary of the current progress of new-generation potassium-based primary explosives and their methods of preparation, energetic properties, and applications, but also a further comparison with traditional primary explosives. In addition, this work discusses the necessity of heavy metal-free primary explosives and the major challenges faced in replacing traditional primary explosives.

CR-39 detectors have been exposed to a 5.9-MeV antiproton beam using the low energy antiproton ring （LEAR） facility at CERN. At this energy, tracks of antiprotons appear in a CR-39 detector after 135 rain of etching in 6M NaOH at 70℃. Fluence of the antiproton beam has been determined using track density. We have also found tracks in the etched CR-39 detector at different depths （250-500μm）. These tracks have resulted from the annihilation of antiprotons with the constituents （H, C and O） of the CR-39 detector. The goal of the experiment is to develop a simple and low-cost method to study properties of antiparticles and those formed after annihilation of these particles with the target matter.

Although deep neural networks(DNNs)have achieved great success in semantic segmentation tasks,it is still challenging for real-time applications.A large number of feature channels,parameters,and floating-point operations make the network sluggish and computationally heavy,which is not desirable for real-time tasks such as robotics and autonomous *** approaches,however,usually sacrifice spatial resolution to achieve inference speed in real time,resulting in poor *** this paper,we propose a light-weight stage-pooling semantic segmentation network(SPSSN),which can efficiently reuse the paramount features from early layers at multiple stages,at different spatial *** takes input of full resolution 2048×1024 pixels,uses only 1.42×10~6 parameters,yields 69.4%m Io u accuracy without pre-training,and obtains an inference speed of 59 frames/s on the Cityscapes *** can run directly on mobile devices in real time,due to its light-weight *** demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed network,we compare our results with those of state-of-the-art networks.

Development of a Risk Model for Abdominal Wound Dehiscence

Objectives: To identify independent risk factors for abdominal wound dehiscence and develop a risk model to recognize high risk patients. Methods: The samples studied were patients who underwent midline laparotomy in the department of surgery, SMHS Hospital Srinagar from March 2009 to April 2015. For each case of abdominal wound dehiscence, three controls were selected from a group of patients who had undergone open abdominal surgery as close as possible in time. Preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative variables and in-hospital mortality were studied for all patients. Cases were compared with controls using the chi-square test or the Mann-Whitney u-test for categorical or continuous data, respectively. Subsequently, multivariate stepwise logistic regression with backwards elimination test used to identify main independent risk factors of abdominal wound dehiscence. The resulting regression coefficients for the major risk factors were used as weights for these variables to calculate a risk score for abdominal wound dehiscence. Results: 140 cases of abdominal wound dehiscence were reported and compared with 420 selected controls. All variables that were significant in univariate analyses were entered in a multivariate stepwise logistic regression to determine which variables were significant independent risk factors. Major independent risk factors were male gender, chronic pulmonary disease, corticosteroid use, smoking, obesity, anemia, jaundice, ascites, and sepsis, type of surgery, postoperative coughing, and wound infection. Based on these findings, a risk model was developed. Conclusions: The model can give an estimate of the risk of abdominal wound dehiscence for individual patients. High-risk patients may be planned preventive wound closing with reinforcements as mesh.

利用水解圈法从三亚红沙河红树林区分离得到1株纤维素降解真菌SCSIO 43503。分子生物学鉴定表明,该菌ITS序列与菌株Ochrocladosporium frigidarii CZ549(FJ755255)的相似度为96%,β微管蛋白(β-tubulin)序列与Shiraia bambusicola(AB355003)的相似性为86%,钙调蛋白(calmodulin)与Paramyrothecium viridisporum CBS 873.85(Ku846278)序列相似性为89%;综合其形态学特征,推测其为枝孢属(Gladaxporism)真菌,命名为Gladaxporism *** 43503(KY224732)。进一步对该菌株分泌的纤维素酶进行分析,结果显示该菌株维素酶活性的最适反应温度为50℃,在45~50℃范围内活性较高;最适pH为5.0,在3.0~7.0范围内具有较高的活性,最适发酵时间为3 d。在最优条件下,酶活力达到最高,为23.46 u。本研究发现了一株纤维素降解真菌,对纤维素酶的生产和利用具有重要价值。

In the present feeding trial,responses of laying hens that were kept at high ambient temperature and Fed with various dietary ratios of linoleic acid(LNA)toα-linolenic acid(ALA)and vitamin A levels on production performance and egg quality traits were evaluated.A total of 360 Leghorn laying hens at 40th week of age(average initial body weight;1.79±0.23 kg)were fed with various combinations of canola oil and linseed oil containing diets to achieve LNA to ALA dietary ratios of 20:1,10:1,4:1,2:1,1:1 and 1:2,each supplemented with 3000 or 10000 Iu of vitamin A/kg of *** experiment was designed as a 6×2 factorial Completely Randomized Design that continued for 12 *** intake,body weight gain,egg production and egg quality traits were recorded during the *** dietary LNA to ALA ratio or increasing poly unsaturated fatty acids(PuFA)in the diet decreased(Pused egg production,feed conversion ratio(FCR)per dozen of eggs and shell quality remained unaffected(P>0.05)by dietary *** conversion ratio per kg eggs,egg weight and egg-shell thickness showed a curvilinear(Puld produce eggs by the hens with desirable quantities of n-6 and n-3 PuFA–that are characteristics of functional diets–the performance of laying hens in terms of body weight gain and egg-yolk percentage was slightly ***,a 4:1 or 2:1 LNA to ALA combination can make a borderline between the production traits and the feed economics.
