The direct acting antivirals(DAAs)are now the standard of care for hepatitis C virus(HCV)treatment with high and effective sustained virologic responserate(SVR)and great safety profile,including solid organ transplant *** are increasing reports showing DAAs are effective with high SVR rates and safety profile in kidney transplant *** are reports on drug-drug interaction(DDI)between tacrolimus with ***,data remain lacking on potential DDIs between tacrolimus and DAA regimens and the management *** case series reports three kidney transplant patients on tacrolimus who were successfully treated for HCV with multidisciplinary approach,although there was DDI between tacrolimus with sofosbuvir/velpatasvir and glecaprevir/pibrentasvir,which required tacrolimus dose adjustment to maintain therapeutic level during and after DAA *** DDIs should be aware of and closely monitored by pharmacist and physicians with tacrolimus dose adjustment as needed during and right after DAA treatment in post-kidney transplant patients.

The fragrance of rice is one of the premium characteristics that breeders want to include in rice varieties due to the higher market value. Nucleotide deletions in exons 2(7 bp) and 7(8 bp) of Betaine Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 2(BADH2) are associated with fragrance in rice. In this study, a new 13 bp deletion in exon 7 of the BADH2 gene was discovered in the Nang Thom Cho Dao(NTCD) variety, and the mutation has been closely related to the genetic background of indica subspecies through the Bayesian phylogenetic approach and haplotype network analysis of the 3 000 Rice Genomes Project. In addition, a set of functional markers(EX07-13F, EX07-13RN, and EX07-13RM) identified the 13 bp deletion only within NTCD(no amplified band) compared with both non-aromatic and other aromatic rice varieties(110 bp band). The deletion of 13 bases instead of 8 bases in exon 7 of BADH2 caused a premature stop codon, which down-regulated the expression of the BADH2 transcript while associated with up-regulation of OsP5CS and the high amount of 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline. It is potential to use the deletion in exon 7 of the BADH2 gene as a novel marker for adulteration and breeding of fragrant rice varieties, particularly for NTCD.

We prepare CdS/CdSe/ZnS thin films by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction method. Results show a wider photoresponse range of TiO2 mesopores from the ultraviolet region to the visible light region. Sequentially assembled CdS/CdSe/ZnS quantum and photocurrent efficiency. A high efficiency of dots exhibit significantly improved light-harvesting ability 1.059354% is obtained.

Enhanced Electrochemical and Physical Properties of Ag/AgCl Planar Reference Electrodesin Potentiometric Sensors by Graphite Oxide Layer

The most common reference electrode (RE) which is used in electrochemical measurements is the Ag/AgCl electrode. In this study, we present a novel solid-state Ag/AgCl planar electrode that was coated with a thin layer of Graphite Oxide (GO) as a protective layer. The Ag/AgCl planar electrode was fabricated by using the photolithography and lift-off method combined with the Ag[NH3]2Cl complex. The GO was produced by Hummer’s method and was deposited on top of the Ag/AgCl layer by drop-casting method. The layers of the fabricated reference electrode were characterized by micro Raman spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The responding time of the planar electrode was short and the signal was more stable in comparison to the plainAg/AgCl electrode. The Open Circuit Potential (OCP) measurement with the fabricated electrode as the RE and the platinum electrode as the working electrode in electrolyte solutions which had various pH values was performed with a linear response in pH ranges from pH 5 to pH 8 and the linear correlation coefficient (R^2 = 0.9899). Moreover, the coating of the GO layers also enhanced the durability of the modified electrode. The results showed that the modified Ag/AgCl electrode with a thin layer GO as the protective layer could be used as plana REs for the potentiometric sensors.
