Substrate stiffness is a microenvironment with a certain stiffness constructed by.the extracellular matrix and adjacent cells, which play. an important role in the growth and development of cells and tissue formation. Studies have indicated that the stiffness of the brain is about 0.1–1 kPa. The phy.iological and pathological processes of the nervous sy.tem are mediated by.the substrate stiffness that the neurons suffer. However, how substrate stiffness regulates these processes remains to be studied. Culturing neurons on substrates with different stiffness in vitro is one of the best methods to study.the role of stiffness in regulating neuronal development and activity. In this study. by.changing the preparation time and the activation time of poly.cry.amide gel, we provide an improved method that achieves a low toxic substrate environment for better primary.neuron adhesion and development. Hope that this method is convenient for those study.ng the role of substrate stiffness in neurons.

This study.investigated degradation behaviors of a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.drug Nabumetone(NMT)and its major metabolite 6-methoxy.2-naphthy.acetic acid(MNA)in the coupling process of ultraviolet and monochloramine(UV/NH2Cl).The second-order rate constants of the contaminants reacting with reactive radicals(HO·,Cl·,Cl_(2)·-,and CO_(3)·^(-))were determined by.laser flash photoly.is ***·and Cl·contributed predominantly.with 52.3%and 21.7%for NMT degradation and 60.8%and 22.3%for MNA *** presence of chlorides retarded the degradation of NMT,while promoted the destruction of MNA,which was ascribed to the photosensitization effects of MNA under UV *** functional theory.DFT)calculations revealed that radical adduct formation(RAF)was dominant pathway.for both HO·and Cl·reacting with the contaminants,and hy.rogen atom transfer(HAT)preferred to occur on side chains of NMT and *** reacted with NO_(2)·through single electron transfer(SET)with the second-order rate constant calculated to be 5.35×10^(7)(mol/L)^(-1)sec^(-1),and the contribution of NO_(2)·was predicted to be 13.0%of the total rate constant of NMT in pure water,which indicated that NO_(2)·play.d a nonnegligible role in the degradation of *** acute toxicity.and developmental toxicity.of NMT were enhanced after UV/NH_(2)Cl treatment,while those of MNA were *** transformation products of both NMT and MNA exhibited higher mutagenicity.than their parent *** study.provides a deep understanding of the mechanism of radical degradation of NMT and MNA in the treatment of UV/NH2Cl.

Traditional hy.rometallurgical methods for recovering spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)involve acid leaching to simultaneously.extract all valuable metals into the *** methods usually.are followed by.a series of separation steps such as precipitation,extraction,and stripping to separate the individual valuable *** this study.we present a process for selectively.leaching lithium through the sy.ergistic effect of sulfuric and oxalic *** optimal leaching conditions(leaching time of 1.5 h,leaching temperature of 70°C,liquid-solid ratio of 4 mL/g,oxalic acid ratio of 1.3,and sulfuric acid ratio of 1.3),the lithium leaching efficiency.reached89.6%,and the leaching efficiencies of Ni,Co,and Mn were 12.8%,6.5%,and 21.7%.X-ray.diffraction(XRD)and inductively.coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OES)analy.es showed that most of the Ni,Co,and Mn in the raw material remained as solid residue oxides and *** study.offers a new approach to enriching the relevant theory.for selectively.recovering lithium from spent LIBs.

Despite much research in the field of island biogeography.mechanisms regulating insular diversity.remain ***,we aim to explore mechanisms underly.ng plant species-area relationships in two tropical archipelagoes in the South China *** found positive plant species-area relationships for both coral and continental ***,our results showed that different mechanisms contributed to similar plant species-area relationships between the two *** coral islands,soil nutrients and spatial distance among communities play.d major roles in shaping plant community.structure and species *** contrast,the direct effect of island area,and to a lesser extent,soil nutrients determined plant species richness on continental ***,increasing soil nutrients availability.N,P,K)had opposite effects on plant diversity.between the two *** summary.the habitat quality.effect and dispersal limitation are important for regulating plant diversity.on coral islands,whereas the passive sampling effect,and to a lesser extent,the habitat quality.effect are important for regulating plant diversity.on continental *** generally.our findings indicate that island plant species-area relationships are outcomes of the interplay.of both niche and neutral processes,but the driving mechanisms behind these relationships depends on the ty.e of islands.

Attributing to the rapid demand expansion for the edible medicinal materials in the market,the limited throughput of highperformance liquid chromatography.multiple reaction monitoring(HPLC-MRM)cannot fully.address the measurement workload for a huge number of testing ***,it is urgent to pursue more efficient approaches for the quality.*** of the greater selectivity.of MRM cubed(MRM^(3))over MRM,there might be a chance to omit the time-intensive LC *** current study.we attempted to develop a direct infusion(DI)-MRM^(3) program,and the applicability.was thereafter assessed through simultaneous determination of four ganoderic acids(GAs)in one of the most famous tonic herbal medicines namely.Ganoderma(Chinese name:Lingzhi).Primary.parameters such as Q1>Q3>QLIT ion transitions,collision energy.CE),and excitation energy.were optimized by.programming online energy.resolved mass spectrometry.with authentic compounds.A single DI-MRM measurement merely.costed four minutes,and in spite of the wide occurrences of isomers,satisfactory.selectivity.was *** validation assay. demonstrated the method to be sensitive,precise,accurate,and *** quantitative results from DI-MRM^(3) were also justified by.conducting LC-MRM measurements in *** differences occurred for the content patterns between the two original sources namely.Ganoderma lucidum and ***,and,moreover,either cultivar or harvest time showed dramatical influence on the quantitative features of the four targeted *** importantly.DI-MRM3 is a meaningful analy.ical option for rapid quantitative analy.is of herbal medicines,because of the comparable reliability.nonetheless,less consumptions of both measurement time and solvent,compared with LC-MRM.
