AIM: To investigate the effect of cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (Cdk5) inhibitor roscovitine on the morphine antinociceptive tolerance development in rats. METHODS: Tail-flick test as pain threshold measurement and intrathecal injection techniques were used. RESULTS: Intrathecal roscovitine infusion alone produced an antinociceptive effect. Tolerance was induced by continuous intrathecal infusion of morphine 5μg/h for 5 d. Co administration of intrathecal roscovitine 1μg/h for 5 d enhanced the morphine antinociceptive effect in tolerant rats. It also caused a shift in the morphine antinociceptive dose"Cresponse curve to the left when co-administered with morphine during tolerance induction, and caused a 67 % reduction in the increase in the ED50 of morphine (dose producing 50 % of the maximum response). CONCLUSION: Cdk5 modulation is involved in the antinociceptive tolerance of morphine. Intrathecal roscovitine administration could attenuate this tolerance development.

This paper describes static and dynamic procedures to calculate seismic demand specified by the current seismic design code for buildings in Taiwan, which was issued in 2005. For design levels with a return period of 475 years, the design spectral response acceleration can be developed for general sites, near-fault sites and Taipei Basin. In addition, in order to prevent building collapse during extremely large earthquakes and yielding of structural components and elements during frequent small earthquakes, the required seismic demands at the maximum considered earthquake level （MCE, 2%/50 years） and operational level are also included in the new seismic design *** dynamic analysis procedures, both the response spectrum method and time history method are specified in the new seismic design code. Finally, procedures to generate spectrum compatible ground motions for time history analysis are illustrated in this paper.

The safety of patients and the quality of medical care provided to them are vital for their *** study establishes a set of RFID(Radio Fre-quency Identiﬁcation)-based systems of patient care based on physiological sig-nals in the pursuit of a remote medical care *** RFID-based positioning system allows medical staff to continuously observe the patient's health and *** staff can thus respond to medical emergencies in time and appropriately care for the *** the COVID-19 pandemic broke out,the proposed system was used to provide timely information on the location and body temperature of patients who had been screened for the *** results of experiments and comparative analyses show that the proposed system is superior to competing systems in *** use of remote monitoring technology makes user interface easier to provide high-quality medical services to remote areas with sparse populations,and enables better care of the elderly and patients with mobility *** can be found from the experiments of this research that the accuracy of the position sensor and the ability of package delivery are the best among the other related *** presentation of the graphical interface is also the most cordial among human-computer interaction and the operation is simple and clear.

Under normal water chemistry conditions, the oxygen and hydrogen peroxide produced by water radiolysis in the coolant of boiling water reactors(BWRs) can lead to intergranular stress corrosion cracking in the constituent materials of plant components. This fact has led to the wide-scale adoption of hydrogen water chemistry(HWC) in the nuclear industry to counteract these *** study seeks to characterize the metallic composition and the surface properties of the constituent materials of plant components in order to determine their effects on the accumulation of chalk river unidentified deposits(crud) on fuel rods in the BWR Unit-1 of the Kuosheng Nuclear Power Plant in Taiwan. Inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy was used to calculate the concentrations of surface crud and gamma spectrometry was used to determine the radioactivity of the corrosion products, as well as their axial distribution across the surface of the fuel rods. X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy/energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were used to identify the crystalline phase and morphology of the crud as irregular shapes and flakes. The amount of crud deposited during the fourth fuel cycle exceeded that of the third fuel cycle due to extended burn-up time. Our analytical results indicate that the implementation of HWC had no significant effect on the characteristics of subsequent crud.

With technological and social development in recent decades,people have begun pursuing more comfortable lives that frequently feature household pets that are treated like members of the *** average,one out of every three households has a *** has also led to the creation and growth of many businesses in the pet industry.A few companies have developed a system that allows busy office workers to remotely care for pets at home based on the Internet of Things and an intelligent adjustment *** owners of two dogs,the authors of this study observed their pets’living habits and recorded environmental conditions that appear suitable for *** data were then used to develop an automatic control system to care for *** observational data on the pets’habits and environment were written in a program in Arduino by using the ESP8266 Wi-Fi *** module and booster module control is the switch and setting of various household *** to the loop setting of the program,the system does not need to manually switch or adjust the electrical settings of the ***,the pet's living environment is assessed by using various *** use of Arduino programs helps develop a system that can automatically adjust the environment to one that is most suitable for the pet's comfort.
