Computer chip is always accompanied by the increase of heat dissipation and miniaturization. The miniature heat pipes are widely used in notebook computer to resolve the heat dissipation problems. Maximum heat removed model of miniature heat pipes building by grey model is presented. In order to know the foundation for modeling, the smooth grade of error examination is inquired and the accuracy of grey relational grade is verified. The model can be used to select a suitable heat pipes to solve electric heat problems in the future. Final results show that the grey model only needs four experiment data and its error value is less than 10%, further, it is better than computational fluid dynamics （CFD） model.

Fatigue failures cost approximately 4% of the United States' gross domestic product(GDP). The design of highly fatigue-resistant materials is always in demand. Different from conventional strategies of alloy design, high-entropy alloys(HEAs) are defined as materials with five or more principal elements, which could be solid solutions. This locally-disordered structure is expected to lead to unique fatigue-resistant properties. In this review, the studies of the fatigue behavior of HEAs during the last five years are summarized. The four-point-bending high-cycle fatigue coupled with statistical modelling, and the fatigue-crack-growth behavior of HEAs, are reviewed. The effects of sample defects and nanotwins-deformation mechanisms on four-point-bending high-cycle fatigue of HEAs are discussed in detail. The influence of stress ratio and temperature on fatigue-crack-growth characteristics of HEAs is also discussed. HEAs could exhibit comparable or greater fatigue properties, relative to conventional materials. Finally,the possible future work regarding the fatigue behavior of HEAs is suggested.

A Distribution Management System for Relational Databases in Cloud Environments

For a transaction processing system to operate effectively and efficiently in cloud environments, it is important to distribute huge amount of data while guaranteeing the ACID （atomic, consistent, isolated, and durable） properties. Moreover, database partition and migration tools can help transplanting conventional relational database systems to the cloud environment rather than rebuilding a new system. This paper proposes a database distribution management （DBDM） system, which partitions or replicates the data according to the transaction behaviors of the application system. The principle strategy of DBDM is to keep together the data used in a single transaction, and thus, avoiding massive transmission of records in join operations. The proposed system has been implemented successfully. The preliminary experiments show that the DBDM performs the database partition and migration effectively. Also, the DBDM system is modularly designed to adapt to different database management system （DBMS） or different partition algorithms.

Premedication with pronase or N-acetylcysteine improves visibility during gastroendoscopy: An endoscopist-blinded, prospective, randomized study

AIM： To assess the efficacy of premedicaton with pronase or N-acetylcysteine （NAC） at 20 min before upper gastrointestinal （UGI） endoscopy and to determine whether pronase or NAC pretreatment influences the reliability of the rapid urease test. METHODS： A total of 146 patients were prospectively and randomly assigned into the study groups according to different premedications before endoscopy. One endoscopist assessed mucosal visibility （MV） with scores ranged from 1 to 4 at four sites in the stomach. The sum of the MV scores from these four locations was defined as the total mucosal visibility （TMV） score. Identification of Hpylori was performed using CLO test, histology, and serology. RESULTS： The Group with pronase premedication had a significantly lower TMV score than did the groups with gascon and gascon water （P 〈 0.001 and P 〈 0.01, respectively）. The group with NAC had a significantly lower TMV score than the group with gascon （P 〈 0.01） and a trend of a lower MV score than the group with gascon water （P = 0.06）. The THV score did not significantly differ between the group with pronase and the group with NAC （P = 0.39 and P = 0.14, respectively）. The sensitivity and specifidty of the CLO test were 92.5% and 93.9%, respectively, in groups premedicated with pronase and NAC together.CONCLUSION： Premedication with pronase or NAC at 20 min before UGI endoscopy improves the mucosal visibility of the stomach. Neither pronase nor NAC produces any obvious interference with the CLO test for the identification of H pylori infection.

The massive flow of scholarly publications from traditional paper journals to online outlets has benefited biologists because of its ease to access. However, due to the sheer volume of available biological literature, researchers are finding it increasingly difficult to locate needed information. As a result, recent biology contests, notably JNLPBA and BioCreAtIvE, have focused on evaluating various methods in which the literature may be navigated. Among these methods, text-mining technology has shown the most promise. With recent advances in text-mining technology and the fact that publishers are now making the full texts of articles available in XML format, TMSs can be adapted to accelerate literature curation, maintain the integrity of information, and ensure proper linkage of data to other resources. Even so, several new challenges have emerged in relation to full text analysis, life-science terminology, complex relation extraction, and information fusion. These challenges must be overcome in order for text-mining to be more effective. In this paper, we identify the challenges, discuss how they might be overcome, and consider the resources that may be helpful in achieving that goal.

3D打印GFRP层内失效力学行为的理论模型及细观机制

为实现3D打印纤维增强树脂基复合材料(Fiber reinforced polymer,FRP)桥梁工程构件力学性能的精确分析,推进3D打印FRP技术在桥梁工程中的应用,本文分别从理论及试验角度对3D打印FRP的关键力学性能进行了探索。首先,结合打印FRP的细观结构空间几何特征,提出了打印丝连续假设。进而,基于该假设及面内应力转轴模型,构建了层内应力下3D打印FRP的杨氏模量分析预测模型。同时,考虑材料的多种失效模式,基于tsai-Wu理论建立了层内应力下该材料的抗拉强度分析预测模型,且该模型考虑了4种不同的剪切强度计算模式。其次,考虑材料的打印角度、线宽及层厚,设计了系统性的杨氏模量及抗拉强度测试分析试验,对上述两类理论模型的精确性进行了验证。研究结果表明:打印角度与杨氏模量及抗拉强度之间呈明显的负相关关系,当打印角度从0°增加至90°时,杨氏模量的减小幅度范围为65.48%~79.62%,抗拉强度的减小幅度范围为50.99%~71.55%。打印线宽对杨氏模量及抗拉强度的影响较明显,0.6mm及0.8mm线宽下材料的两类关键力学性能相近,且均明显强于0.4mm线宽下的力学性能,其中杨氏模量的变化幅度范围为20.18%~49.27%,抗拉强度的变化幅度范围为27.53%~54.55%。宏观尺度失效结果表明,存在两类失效模式,分别为打印丝断裂失效及打印丝分离失效。同时,本文从细观尺度揭示了两类失效模式产生的机制及打印参数对关键力学性能的影响机制。综上,本次构建的两类模型为量化评价3D打印FRP桥梁工程构件的关键力学性能提供了理论支撑。
