Genesis and Quality of Groundwater in the Southeastern Region of Southern Vietnam

The origin and quality of groundwater in the Southeastern region （belongs to Southern Plain） were identified by using isotopic techniques and geochemical analysis. Groundwater samples were collected from 7 aquifers： the Holocene, upper Pleistocene, middle Pleistocene, lower Pleistocene, upper Pliocene, middle Pliocene and Miocene aquifers. The water isotopic compositions （82H and 8180） were determined to elucidate the origin and the interaction between surface water and groundwater studies. transit time （age） of the groundwater samples was determined to explain the direction of groundwater flow. The dating techniques included 3H and ^14C isotopes measurement, followed by a correction for the initial ^14C-activity by the ^13C-composition （^13C） in TDIC （Total Dissolved Inorganic Carbon）. Geochemical parameters of the groundwater samples were measured either directly in the field or in the laboratory. The results showed that the groundwater from the Holocene and upper Pleistocene aquifers was most recharged from the local meteorological and hydrological systems, including local precipitation, fiver and reservoirs. Thus, it has short transit time and its stable isotopic composition is spread around the local meteoric waterline and lines for rivers or reservoirs water. The groundwater in the deeper aquifers： middle and lower Pleistocene, and Neogene aquifers has old age up to 22.5 ka BP. Its water seems to be recharged from the areas with an altitude from 600 to 700 m higher to the Neogene deposit layer altitude. The groundwater in the SE SP （South-Eastern Southern Plain） region has a high quality. The water type is Na-Ca-Mg-HCO3 with low content of chloride and TDS （Total Dissolved Solids）. Calcite/dolomite and gypsum dissolution, organic matter decomposition and sequence of red-ox reactions proceeding through different electron acceptors sediment were controlled the chemistry of the groundwater in the study region.

Influence of thermal treatment on electronic properties of inkjet-printed zinc oxide semiconductor

Additive manufacturing of electronic devices using inkjet printing provides a potential alternative approach in substitution for con-ventional electronic fabrication ***,the complex nature of inkjet printing involves the liquid deposition and film formation from the vaporization of solvent,which makes it different from film created by conventional deposition *** print-ing of zinc oxide(ZnO),which is a widely utilized semiconductor,produces polycrystalline film composed of nano-size grains,which could significantly influence the properties of printed *** this study,low-temperature annealing was employed to treat inkjetprinted ZnO for UV photodetection application,and its influence on electrical properties was *** bending was character-ized using the Mott-Schottky plot which examines the charge dis-tribution of the *** is found that the annealing of inkjet-printed polycrystalline ZnO film has improved its electrical properties,which could be attributed to the reduction of band bending due to the merging of *** treatment also helps to reduce impurities of the film,such as zinc hydroxide complexes,which is common for solution-derived ***,the study could pay the way for the improvement of electrical properties of inkjet-printed functional materials.

Stretchable and conformal humidity sensors that can be attached to the human body for continuously monitoring the humidity of the environment around the human body or the moisture level of the human skin can play an important role in electronic skin and personal healthcare applications. However, most stretchable humidity sensors are based on the geometric engineering of non-stretchable components and only a few detailed studies are available on stretchable humidity sensors under applied mechanical deformations. In this paper, we propose a transparent, stretchable humidity sensor with a simple fabrication process, having intrinsically stretchable components that provide high stretchability, sensitivity, and stability along with fast response and relaxation time. Composed of reduced graphene oxide-polyurethane composites and an elastomeric conductive electrode, this device exhibits impressive response and relaxation time as fast as 3.5 and 7 s, respectively. The responsivity and the response and relaxation time of the device in the presence of humidity remain almost unchanged under stretching up to a strain of 60% and after 10,000 stretching cycles at a 40% strain. Further, these stretchable humidity sensors can be easily and conformally attached to a finger for monitoring the humidity levels of the environment around the human body, wet objects, or human skin.

A novel approach for synthesis of hierarchical mesoporous Nd2O3 nanomaterials

A novel route to the fabrication of hierarchical mesoporous Nd_2O_3 nanostructures including nanospheres and nanoporous network was described. Their structure and morphology evolution of the as-synthesized materials were determined by various techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Fourier transforminfrared spectra, nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherm, and a formation mechanism was proposed. The results revealed that the Nd_2O_3 nanospheres had the diameter of 300 nm, which were composed of small primary nanoparticles（NPs） with the size of 10 nm. The nanoporous structure also formed the NPs of ca. 10 nm which were connected with each other to form a three-dimensional（3D） texture. This simple and mild approach to fabricate hierarchical mesoporous Nd_2O_3 nanostructures could be easily scaled up and potentially extended to synthesize other oxide hierarchical structures.

Novel enzymatically crosslinked chitosan hydrogels with free-radical-scavenging property and promoted cellular behaviors under hyperglycemia

The impairment of regenerative processes induced by high blood-glucose level(hyperglycemia) and excessive reactive oxygen species(ROS) contributes to the diabetic complication progression and development. In this study, an injectable, in situ crosslinkable chitosan hydrogel with ROS-scavenging capability was developed by conjugating gallic acid onto the chitosan backbone(CGA). We hypothesized that gallic acid serves as both antioxidant and crosslinking moieties to form hydrogel in situ by means of enzymatic crosslinking with horseradish peroxidase(HRP). The rapid gelation(from 30 s) was observed by vial tilting. The mechanical properties and microstructures of CGA hydrogels can be well controlled by varying the concentrations of H2O2. The ROSscavenging ability of these CGA hydrogels was demonstrated against DPPH radical, hydroxyl radical, and total reducing power. Notably, in an in vitro hyperglycemia environment, CGA hydrogels significantly improved the proliferation and migration of human dermal fibroblast cells, which are closely related to diabetic wound healing. These results suggest that CGA hydrogels have potential as advanced materials for the treatment of diabetes-related diseases via attenuating the excessive ROS production and improving cellular behaviors.

In this paper,we present analytical results for one-loop contributions to the decay processes H-Zvivi(for I=e,μ,T).The calculations are performed within the Standard Model framework in the't Hooft-Veltman ***-loop form factors are then written in terms of scalar one-loop functions in the standard notations of *** a result,one-loop decay rates for the decay channels can be evaluated numerically by using the ***,we analyze the signals of H→Zvivi via the production processes e-e+→ZH*-Z(H*→Zν_(ι)ν_(ι)),including the initial beam polarizations at future lepton *** Standard Model backgrounds,such as the processes e-e+→ν_(ι)ν_(ι)ZZ,are also examined in this *** results indicate that one-loop corrections make contributions of approximately 10%to the decay *** are sizeable contributions and should be taken into account at future *** show that the signals H-Zν_(ι)ν_(ι)are clearly visible at the center-of-mass energy√s=250 GeV and are difficult to probe in higher-energy regions owing to the dominant backgrounds.
