The rising claim for more environmental friendly and healthy agriculture is a strong incentive to find alternative strategies to replace the use of mineral fertilizer and pesticide. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), a main component of soil microbiota, represent a promising tool as providers of key ecological services. The present work represented one of the first attempts to study, under a morphological and molecular point of view, the AMF communities associated to some strategic crops in Vietnam. The findings about the AMF morphotypes dominant in different crop systems could be a starting point for the development of well performing and adapted inocula suitable for the application in field.

Characterization of Electrochromic Properties of Polyaniline Thin Films Electropolymerized in h₂SO₄ Solution

Polyaniline (PANI) onto indium-doped tin-oxide (ITO)-coated glass samples were prepared by electroopolymerization in 0.5 M h2SO4 solution. Structure and morphology characterization of the PANI films demonstrated that the films were grown onto ITO substrates in the form of polycrystalline microbelts separated by micropores. By analysing the UV-Vis absorption spectra of the PANI films, the energy bandgap was found to be approximately 2.75 eV. The PANI/ITO films exhibited a good reversible electrochromic display (ECD) performance when cycled in 0.1 M LiClO4 + pro-pylene carbonate. The response time of the ECD coloration was found to be as small as 15 s and the coloration efficiency was found to be 8.85 cm2 C-1. After 100 cycles of the ECD performance, the cyclic voltammetry curve of the working electrode maintained unchanged. This demonstrates that the electropolymerized PANI films can be served as a good candidate for ECD applications, taking advantage of their excellent properties in terms of chemical stability.

Genesis and Quality of Groundwater in the Southeastern Region of Southern Vietnam

The origin and quality of groundwater in the Southeastern region （belongs to Southern Plain） were identified by using isotopic techniques and geochemical analysis. Groundwater samples were collected from 7 aquifers： the holocene, upper Pleistocene, middle Pleistocene, lower Pleistocene, upper Pliocene, middle Pliocene and Miocene aquifers. The water isotopic compositions （82h and 8180） were determined to elucidate the origin and the interaction between surface water and groundwater studies. transit time （age） of the groundwater samples was determined to explain the direction of groundwater flow. The dating techniques included 3h and ^14C isotopes measurement, followed by a correction for the initial ^14C-activity by the ^13C-composition （^13C） in TDIC （Total Dissolved Inorganic Carbon）. Geochemical parameters of the groundwater samples were measured either directly in the field or in the laboratory. The results showed that the groundwater from the holocene and upper Pleistocene aquifers was most recharged from the local meteorological and hydrological systems, including local precipitation, fiver and reservoirs. Thus, it has short transit time and its stable isotopic composition is spread around the local meteoric waterline and lines for rivers or reservoirs water. The groundwater in the deeper aquifers： middle and lower Pleistocene, and Neogene aquifers has old age up to 22.5 ka BP. Its water seems to be recharged from the areas with an altitude from 600 to 700 m higher to the Neogene deposit layer altitude. The groundwater in the SE SP （South-Eastern Southern Plain） region has a high quality. The water type is Na-Ca-Mg-hCO3 with low content of chloride and TDS （Total Dissolved Solids）. Calcite/dolomite and gypsum dissolution, organic matter decomposition and sequence of red-ox reactions proceeding through different electron acceptors sediment were controlled the chemistry of the groundwater in the study region.

BACKGROUND Careful selection of hepatocellular carcinoma(hCC)patients prior to chemoembolization treatment is a daily reality,and is even more necessary with new available therapeutic options in *** propose two new models to better stratify patients and maximize clinical benefit:“6 and 12”and“pre/post-TACE-predict”(TACE,transarterial chemoembolization).METhODS We evaluated and compared their performance in predicting overall survival with other systems{Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC),Albumin-Bilirubin(ALBI)and NIACE[Number of tumor(s),Infiltrative hCC,alpha-fetoprotein,Child-Pugh(CP),and performance status]}in two hCC French cohorts of different stages enrolled between 2010 and *** The cohorts included 324 patients classified as BCLC stages A/B(cohort 1)and 137 patients classified as BCLC stages B/C(cohort 2).The majority of the patients had cirrhosis with preserved liver function.“Pre-TACE-predict”and“6 and 12”models identified three distinct categories of patients exhibiting different prognosis in cohort ***,their prognostic value was no better than the BCLC system or NIACE *** function based on CP and ALBI grades significantly impacted patient ***,the“post-TACE-predict”model had a higher predictive value than other *** stratification ability as well as predictive performance of these new models in an intermediate/advanced stage population was less efficient(cohort 2).CONCLUSION The newly proposed“Pre-TACE-predict”and“6 and 12”models offer an interesting stratification into three categories in a recommended TACE population,as they identify poor candidates,those with partial control and durable *** models'contribution was reduced in a population with advanced stage hCCs.

Background:Strongyloidiasis,a neglected disease caused by intestinal nematodes of the genus,is endemic to tropical and subtropical areas such as *** methods only identify the genus,while DNA-molecular techniques are susceptible in Strongyloides *** study aims to determine the prevalence of dominant Strongyloides species among the population in Duc hoa district,Long An,***:A cross-sectional study used 1190 stool specimens collected from July 2017 to November *** samples were transported within 2 h,stored at 2-8℃,and processed within 48 h for microscopy smear and culture at the Laboratory of Medical Parasitology,Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine(PNT).Then all positive samples with the above 2 methods were verified by real-time PCR ***-time PCR amplification was conducted at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology,***:Direct microscopy and modified harada-Mori culture detected Strongyloides *** in 79/1190 sam-ples(6.6%).About 94.2%of the DNA samples were Strongyloides stercoralis,2.9%were co-infections with Strongy-loides ratti and ***,and 2.9%were patients with *** identity of 12/14 sequences was confirmed as *** with a high level of similarity(91.3%-100%)and over 98%for ***:DNA-molecular techniques and sequence analysis are highly suitable for identifying Strongyloides species isolated from stool *** is remarkable evidence of the presence of zoonosis *** disease in human,not just the known *** is likely to result in a certain proportion of people being infected by this animal-borne infectious pathogen.

Two low-lying unbound states in ^(16)C are investigated by deuteron inelastic scattering in inverse *** the 2^(-) state at 5.45 MeV previously measured in a 1n knockout reaction,a new resonant state at 6.89 MeV is observed for the first *** inelastic scattering angular distributions of these two states are well reproduced by the distorted-wave Born approximation(DWBA)calculation with an l=1 *** addition,the spinparities of the unbound states are discussed and tentatively assigned based on shell model calculations using the modified YSOX interaction.

BACKGROUND: The h1N1 pandemic in 2009 required a systematic coordinated response, which in Australia included a monovalent (h1N1/09) vaccine (Panvax?). SAEFVIC (Surveillance of Adverse Events Following Vaccination In the Community) is the Victorian, Australia state-based vaccine safety unit. The aim of the study was to review SAEFVIC reports of adverse events following immunisations (AEFI) temporally associated with h1N1/09 vaccines [monovalent and Trivalent Influenza Vaccines (TIV)]. METhODS: 1) Analysis of AEFI related to h1N1/09 vaccines reported to SAEFVIC from September 2009 to December 2010;2) Review of febrile convulsions (ICD-10 code R56.0), in children under 5 years of age presenting to the Royal Children’s hospital (RCh) Melbourne, Emergency Department between 1 March-30 April 2010. The presentation details and immunisation history were clarified by a telephone interview. RESULTS: 1) There were 659 reports of 749 adverse events following h1N1 vaccines. Among the TIV group, Fluvax had the most AEFI reported, with 77 per 100,000 doses distributed. Serious AEFI temporally associated with h1N1/09 vaccines included: 3 deaths, 2 anaphylactic reactions, and 3 GuillainBarre Syndrome. There were 7 reports of drug administration error;2) There were 179 presentations with fever and 67 reported febrile convulsions out of 11025 presentations (0.61%), 11 following h1N1 vaccines. Fluvax? was associated with 55% (6/11) reports. The mean onset time of AEFI was 13.2 hours post vaccination, and there was complete resolution of symptoms in allcases with no significant morbidity. CONCLUSION: Consistent with other Australian states in 2010, there was a TIV brand specific [Fluvax?] increase in febrile convulsions post vaccination. As a result this vaccine is no longer licensed for children hensive passive and active surveillance for AEFI needs to be incorporated into future pandemic planning.
