Engineering the surface of the metal clusters with the core structure maintained and tuning their luminescence in a wide range is still a challenge in the nanomaterial *** modified six mono-pyridyl ligands with different electronic effects(conjugation effect or induction effect)on a superatomic silver cluster[Ag_(14)(c_(2)B_(10)H_(10)S_(2))_(6)(cH_(3)cN)_(8)](denoted as Ag_(14))through in situ site-specific surface engineering.

The intermetallic synergy plays a critical role in exploring the chemical-physical properties of metal ***,the controlled doping or layer-by-layer alloying of atom-precise metal nanoclusters(Ncs)has long been a challenging *** this work,two novel alloy nanoclusters[PPh_(4)]_(4)[Ag_(32)cu_(18)(PFBT)_(36)]((Agcu)_(50))and[PPh_(4)]_(4)[Au_(12)Ag_(20)cu_(18)(PFBT)_(36)](Au_(12)(Agcu)_(38)),where PFBT is pentafluorobenzenethiolate,with shell-by-shell configuration of M_(12)@Ag_(20)@cu_(18)(PFBT)_(36)(M=Ag/Au)were synthesized by a facile one-pot co-reduction ***,a fingerprint library of[Ag_(50)−xcux(PFBT)_(36)]^(4−)(x=0 to 50)from Ag_(50)to cu_(50)has been successfully established as revealed by electrospray ionization mass ***-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis of trimetallic Au_(12)(Agcu)_(38)confirmed the layer-by-layer alloying under reducing *** is more,(Agcu)_(50)and Au12(Agcu)_(38)both show broad photoluminescence(PL)peak in the second near-infrared(NIR-II)window,and the Au doping in the innermost shell considerably enhances the photoluminescence *** work not only offers an insight in the process of metal cluster alloying but also provides a platform to study the doping-directed PL properties in the multimetallic cluster system.

A new 1D silver cluster-assembled complex Ag_(10)bpy-cH_3cN exhibiting intense photoluminescence was reported. Upon the loss of coordinated acetonitrile, Ag_(10)bpy-cH_3cN form Ag_(10)bpy with Ag_(10)S_6 cores slightly distorted, being accompanied with photoluminescence quenching. Inverse process can be realized by treating Ag_(10)bpy with acetonitrile and shows a selectively erasable photoluminescent switch.

Metal clusters are useful phosphors, but highly luminescent examples are quite rare. Usually, the phosphorescence of metal clusters is hindered by ambient O2molecules. Transforming this disadvantage into an advantage for meaningful applications of metal clusters presents a formidable challenge. In this work, we used ligand engineering to judiciously prepare colour-tuneable and brightly emitting cu(I)clusters that are ultrasensitive to O2upon dispersion in a fluid solution or in a solid matrix. when the O2scavenger dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) was used as the solvent, joint photo-and oxygen-controlled multicolour switches were achieved for the first time for metal cluster-based photopatterning and photo-anticounterfeiting. More importantly, an aggregation-induced barrier to oxygen, a new aggregation-induced emission mechanism for metal clusters, was proposed, providing a new pathway to realizing the intense emission of metal clusters in the aggregated state. These results are expected to promote the application of metal clusters and enrich the luminescence theory of metal cluster aggregates.

cyclo-L-prolyl-glycyl was isolated from Diodon novemaculatus (Bleeker) and characterised by X-ray diffraction analysis. c7H10N2O2, Mw 154.17, space group P212121, a = 5.869(1), b = 9.674(2), c = 13.076(3) A,V = 742.4(2) A3, Z = 4, D = 1.379 g cm-3, μ(MoKα) = 0.96 cm-1, final R =0.034 and Rg = 0.047 for 939 observed data. Intermolecular N-H...0hydrogen bonds link the molecules into infinite zigzag chains parallel tothe b axis.

The structure of yuehchukene, a new bis-indole alkaloid isolated from the root of Murraya paniculata (L.) Jack, has been determined by an X-ray crystallographic analysis of its mono-N-acetylated derivative. c28H28N2O,Fw = 408.54, monoclinic, space group P21/n, a/3 = 8.032(2), b = 19.712(8), c =14.460(7) A, β = 101.22(2)°, U = 2245.7(9) A, Dm (flotation in KI/H2O) =1.20 g cm-3 , Z = 4, Dc = 1.208 g cm-3, F(OOO) = 871.86, μ(Mo-Ka) =0.68 cm-1 ,final R =0.079 and Rg = 0.084 for 1523 observed data.
