Technological improvements are crucial in the evolution of ***-time fluorescence-guided surgery(FGs)has spread worldwide,mainly because of its usefulness during the intraoperative decision-making *** success of any gastrointestinal oncologic resection is based on the anatomical identification of the primary tumor and its regional lymph *** allows also to evaluate the blood perfusion at the gastrointestinal stumps after colorectal or esophageal ***,a reduction on the anastomotic leak rates has been postulated as one of the foreseeable benefits provided by the use of FGs in these *** the use of fluorescence in lymph node detection was initially described in breast cancer surgery,the technique is currently applied in gastric or splenic flexure cancers,as they both present complex and variable lymphatic *** allows also to perform intraoperative lymphograms or sentinel lymph node *** applications of FGs are being developed to assist in the detection of peritoneal metastases or in the evaluation of the tumor resection *** present review aims to provide a general overview of the current status of real-time FGs in gastrointestinal oncologic *** put a special focus on the different applications of FGs,discussing the main findings and limitations found in the contemporary literature and also the promising near future applications.

Web applications represent one of the principal vehicles by which attackers gain access to an organization’s network or ***,different approaches to protect web applications have been proposed to *** them,the two major approaches are Web Application Firewalls(WAF)and Runtime Application self Protection(RAsP).It is,thus,essential to understand the differences and relative effectiveness of both these approaches for effective decisionmaking regarding the security of web *** we present a comparative study between WAF and RAsP simulated settings,with the aim to compare their effectiveness and efficiency against different categories of *** this,we used computation of different metrics and sorted their results using F-score *** found that RAsP tools scored better than WAF *** this study,we also developed a new experimental methodology for the objective evaluation ofweb protection tools since,to the best of our knowledge,nomethod specifically evaluates web protection tools.

Urban trees are subjected to different damaging agents throughout their lifetime. The aims of this study were to identify tree damaging agents, and to obtain a Damage severity Index (DsI) in order to categorize tree health condition at san Juan de Aragon Park. Each tree was identified at species level in 28 randomly established plots in ten sections of the study area. Up to two types of damage were recorded per tree, based on the FIA (Forest Inventory an Analysis Program) protocol, and a DsI was obtained for each damaged tree considering location of damage, nature of the damaging agent and severity. A total of 753 trees were assessed and 12 species and 27 damaging agents were identified. Cankers, galls, the pepper tree psyllid and the red gum lerp psyllid were the most frequent damaging agents. Australian pine, red gum, Mediterranean cypress, Mexican white cedar, and California pepper were the most affected species. The DsI ranged from 3 to 17 and the average was 7.9. sections J and H and the species California pepper, Australian pine, and Mexican white cedar presented the highest DsI. The tree population had a moderate health condition, while the aforementioned sections and tree species showed the poorest.

Field experiments were conducted in the Ebro Delta area （spain）, from 2007 to 2009 with two rice varieties： Gleva and Tebre. The experimental treatments included a series of seed rates, two different water management systems and two different nitrogen fertilization times. The number of leaves on the main stems and their emergence time were periodically tagged. The results indicated that the final leaf number on the main stems in the two rice varieties was quite stable over a three-year period despite of the differences in their respective growth cycles. Interaction between nitrogen fertilization and water management influenced the final leaf number on the main stems. Plant density also had a significant influence on the rate of leaf appearance by extending the phyllochron and postponing the onset of intraspecific competition after the emergence of the 7th leaf on the main stems. Final leaf number on the main stems was negatively related to plant density. A relationship between leaf appearance and thermal time was established with a strong nonlinear function. In direct-seeded rice, the length of the phyllochron increases exponentially in line with the advance of plant development. A general model, derived from 2-year experimental data, was developed and satisfactorily validated; it had a root mean square error of 0.3 leaf. An exponential model can be used to predict leaf emergence in direct-seeded rice.

AIM To explore regional systolic strain of midwall and endocardial segments using speckle tracking echocardiography in patients with apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM).METHODs We prospectively assessed 20 patients(mean age 53 ± 16 years,range:18-81 years,10 were male),with apical HCM. We measured global longitudinal peak systolic strain(GLPss) in the midwall and endocardium of the left ventricle. REsULTs The diastolic thickness of the 4 apical segments was 16.25 ± 2.75 mm. All patients had a normal global systolicfunction with a fractional shortening of 50% ± 8%. In spite of supernormal left ventricular(LV) systolic function,midwall GLPss was decreased in all patients,more in the apical(-7.3% ±-8.8%) than in basal segments(-15.5% ±-6.93%),while endocardial GLPPs was significantly greater and reached normal values(apical:-22.8% ±-7.8%,basal:-17.9% ±-7.5%). COnCLUsIOn This study shows that two-dimensional strain was decreased mainly confined to the mesocardium,while endocardium myocardial deformation was preserved in HCM and allowed to identify subclinical LV dysfunction. This transmural heterogeneity in systolic strain had not been previously described in HCM and could be explained by the distribution of myofibrillar disarray in deep myocardial areas. The clinical application of this novel finding may help further understanding of the pathophysiology of HCM.

The growing interest of the pharmaceutical industry in near Infrared-Chemical Imaging (nIR-CI) is a result of its high usefulness for quality control analyses of drugs throughout their production process (particularly of its non-destructive nature and expeditious data acquisition).In this work,the concentration and distribution of the major and minor components of pharmaceutical tablets are determined and the spatial distribution from the internal and external sides has been *** addition,the same nIR-CI allowed the coating thickness and its surface distribution to be *** were processed to extract the target data and calibration models constructed using the Partial Least squares (PLs) *** concentrations of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) and excipients obtained for uncoated cores were essentially identical to the nominal values of the pharmaceutical *** the predictive ability of the calibration models applied to the coated tablets decreased as the coating thickness increased.

strong>Introduction:strong> Post-hospital syndrome (PHs) is defined as a period of vulnerability during the first 30 days after a patient is discharged from hospital, in which multiple factors come into play. Hyponatremia is the most frequent hydroelectrolytic disorder in hospitalized patients and may be related to the appearance of PHs. strong>Objective: strong>The objective is to estimate the prevalence of PHs that is assessed as the rate of readmissions in the first 30 days after discharge, in patients with hyponatremia. strong>Material and Methods:strong> It is a descriptive observational study of patients with hyponatremia who were discharged from 1 september 2010 to 2 February 2020 at the Internal Medicine service of the Hospital University of san Juan (Alicante, spain). strong>Results:strong> Of the 25 included patients, 5 (20%) were readmitted within a month of discharge, after a mean of 11.4 days (standard deviation [sD] 5.1). The overall mortality of the study was 20% (n = 5), with one case of death in the first 30 days post-hospitalization (4%). In 12 patients (48%) the origin of the hyponatremia was undetermined. The most frequently recorded etiology for the condition was pharmacological (n = 7, 28%), and there was pronounced variability in its clinical and laboratory study. The most widely used corrective measure was drug withdrawal, in 16 patients (64%). Water intake restriction was the most common treatment after discharge (5 patients, 20%), followed by urea (2 patients, 8%), while tolvaptan was not used. strong>Conclusion: strong>Hyponatremia may be the cause of PHs, which could increase the rate of early readmission. Hyponatremia is an underdiagnosed and undertreated entity, so it is necessary to apply an appropriate system to optimize its management and, in future studies, to assess its impact on PHs.
