Synthesis and thermal behavior of [Li(thf)3(μ-Cl)La{N(SiMe3)2}3] and its investigation as spin-coating precursor for lanthanum-based layer formation

The lanthanum（Ⅲ） complex [Li（thf）3（μ-CI）La{N（SiMe3）2}3]（3） was obtained by the reaction of LaCl3 with three equiv of Li[N（SiMe3）2]3 in a tetrahydrofuran solution. The molecular structure of 3 in the solid state was characterized by a tetracoordinated anionic lanthanide（Ⅲ） amide in form of an adduct with LiCl（thf）3 as evidenced by single crystal X-ray structure analysis. In order to study the suitability of 3 as a precursor for the deposition of La2O3/LiLaSiO4 by thin layer deposition techniques,its thermal behavior was investigated by thermogravimetry（TG） and TG-MS-coupled studies. TG studies show a two-step decomposition process, whereby volatile decomposition products can be detected during the second decomposition step. TG measurements under an atmosphere of oxygen produced La2O3, Calcination processes of 3 under ambient atmosphere for 10 h at 1000 ℃ gave La2O3 and LiLaSiO4,which was confirmed by PXrD studies. Metal-organic 3 was applied as spin-coating precursor for La2O3 thin film formation giving the as-deposited layers nearly crack-free.

Lanthanide clusters [Ln4（μ3-OH）2（η2-accp）4（（μ-O）-η2-accp）6]（Ln = Y（4）,Gd（5）; accp = 2-acetylcyclopentanoate） are accessible by treatment of [M（NO33·6 H2 O]（M = Y（1）,Gd（2）） with 3 equiv. of Haccp（3） in presence of NaOH. The molecular structures of 4 and 5） in the solid-state are discussed. The thermal behavior of 4 and 5 was studied by TG under Ar and O2, showing multistep decomposition processes. Additionally, DSC studies were carried out under an atmosphere of O2. PXrD measurements of the TG residues confirm the formation of Ln2 ***-coating experiments were carried out with 4 and 5 for Ln2 O3 film deposition on silicon substrates. The layers are smooth, close and are of thicknesses of 18.87±1.13 nm and 25.59 ± 4.55 nm for Ln = Y and Gd, which was evidenced by SEM and EDX studies. Field-effect transistors were successfully fabricated by deposition of carbon nanotubes on top of the Y2 O3 films and formation of palladium contacts by a lift-off procedure. An on/off ratio of more than 4 orders of magnitude is achieved without considerable leakage currents. These results demonstrate the potential use of spin-coated Y2 O3 as a gate dielectric in electronic devices.

A recent report has uncovered a fascinating aspect of how neurons utilize alternative splicing of transcripts of an adhesion G protein-coupled receptor(aGPCr)gene to serve specific functions in the life of a synapse.1 The work provides significant insight into the ability of cells to support distinct biochemical and physiological operations through post-transcriptional processing of genetic information that is encoded in a single aGPCr locus.

Cast iron alloys with low production cost and quite good mechanical properties are widely used in the automotive *** study the mechanical behavior of a typical ductile cast iron(GJS-450)with nodular graphite,uni-axial quasi-static and dynamic tensile tests at strain rates of 10^(-4),1,10,100,and 250 s^(-1)were carried *** order to investigate the influence of stress state on the deformation and fracture parameters,specimens with various geometries were used in the *** strain curves and fracture strains of the GJS-450 alloy in the strain rate range of 10^(-4)to 250 s^(-1)were obtained.A strain rate-dependent plastic flow model was proposed to describe the mechanical behavior in the corresponding strain-rate *** available damage model was extended to take the strain rate into account and calibrated based on the analysis of local fracture *** with the proposed plastic flow model and the damage model were conducted to observe the deformation and fracture *** results show that the strain rate has obviously nonlinear effects on the yield stress and fracture strain of GJS-450 *** predictions with the proposed plastic flow and damage models at various strain rates agree well with the experimental results,which illustrates that the rate-dependent plastic flow and damage models can be used to describe the mechanical behavior of cast iron alloys at elevated strain *** proposed plastic flow and damage models can be used to describe the deformation and fracture analysis of materials with similar properties.

We present quasi-exact ab initio path integral Monte Carlo(PIMC)results for the partial static density responses and local field factors of hydrogen in the warm dense matter regime,from solid density conditions to the strongly compressed *** full dynamic treatment of electrons and protons on the same footing allows us to rigorously quantify both electronic and ionic exchange–correlation effects in the system,and to compare the results with those of earlier incomplete models such as the archetypal uniform electron gas or electrons in a fixed ion snapshot potential that do not take into account the interplay between the two *** full electronic density response is highly sensitive to electronic localization around the ions,and our results constitute unambiguous predictions for upcoming X-ray Thomson scattering experiments with hydrogen jets and fusion *** PIMC results are made freely available and can be used directly for a gamut of applications,including inertial confinement fusion calculations and the modeling of dense astrophysical ***,they constitute invaluable benchmark data for approximate but computationally less demanding approaches such as density functional theory or PIMC within the fixed-node approximation.

We present a novel approach for Stimulated raman Scattering(SrS)spectroscopy in which a hyper spectral resolution and high-speed spectral acquisition are achieved by employing amplified offset-phase controlled fs-pulse *** investigate the method by solving the coupled non-linear Schrödinger equations and validate it by numerically characterizing SrS in molecular nitrogen as a model *** spectral resolution of the method is found to be determined by the inverse product of the number of pulses in the burst and the intraburst pulse *** SrS spectrum is obtained through a motion-free scanning of the offset phase that results in a sweep of the raman-shift *** to high spectral resolution and fast motion-free scanning the technique is beneficial for a number SrS-based applications such as gas sensing and chemical analysis.

This article describes an extension of the theory of vortices to electromagnetic types with a start point from known fluid systems. From this, properties of gravity-generating objects (particles and black holes) can be derived, which can also describe their possible interior. This also leads to questions about stability, which are then addressed and ultimately lead to considerations of black holes and their possible internal structure. The results fit into the observable areas and can also be directly verified because they were analytically calculated in SI units.

The Zambian mining industry is crucial to the national economy but struggles with inconsistent equipment maintenance practices. This study developed an Equipment Maintenance Management Framework (EMMF) tailored to the industry’s needs. Using surveys, interviews, and on-site visits at eight major mining companies, we identified significant variations in maintenance strategies, CMMS usage, and reliability engineering. The EMMF prioritizes predictive maintenance, efficient CMMS implementation, ongoing training, and robust reliability engineering to shift from reactive to proactive maintenance. We recommend adopting continuous improvement practices and data-driven decision-making based on performance metrics, with a phased EMMF implementation aligning maintenance with strategic business objectives. This framework is poised to enhance operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and safety, fostering sustainable growth in the Zambian mining sector.
