Sulfur-containing dynamic polymers had attracted significant attention due to their unique chemical structures with high *** sulfur, an inexpensive industrial waste product, to synthesize dynamic polysulfide polymers through reverse vulcanization has been a notable approach. However, this method required high temperatures and resulted in the release of unpleasant oders. In this study, we presented a robust method for the preparation of sulfur-rich polymers with dynamic polysulfide bonds from elemental sulfur and inexpensive epoxide monomers via a one-pot strategy at the mild room temperature. Different types of polysulfide molecules and polymers were synthesized by reacting various epoxide compounds with sulfur, along with the investigation of their structures and dynamic behaviors. It was noteworthy that the obatined polymers prepared from m-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-N,N-bis(2,3-epoxypropyl)aniline and elemental sulfur exhibit multiple dynamic behaviors, including polysulfide metathesis and polysulfide-thiol exchange, enabling their rapid stress relaxation, self-healing, reprocessing and degradable properties of the cross-linked polymer. More importantly, the hydroxyl groups at the side chains from epoxide ring opening exhibited potential transesterification. This work provided a facile strategy for designing dynamic sulfur-rich polymers via a mild synthesis route.

Fluoropyrimidine-based combination chemotherapy plus targeted therapy is the standard initial treatment for unresectable metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC),but the prognosis remains *** phase 3 trial(***:NCT03950154)assessed the efficacy and adverse events(AEs)of the combination of PD-1 blockade-activated DC-CIK(PD1-T)cells with XELOX plus bevacizumab as a first-line therapy in patients with mCRC.A total of 202 participants were enrolled and randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either first-line XELOX plus bevacizumab(the control group,n=102)or the same regimen plus autologous PD1-T cell immunotherapy(the immunotherapy group,n=100)every 21 days for up to 6 cycles,followed by maintenance treatment with capecitabine and *** main endpoint of the trial was progression-free survival(PFS).The median follow-up was 19.5 *** PFS was 14.8 months(95%CI,11.6-18.0)for the immunotherapy group compared with 9.9 months(8.0-11.8)for the control group(hazard ratio[HR],0.60[95%CI,0.40-0.88];p=0.009).Median overall survival(OS)was not reached for the immunotherapy group and 25.6 months(95%CI,18.3-32.8)for the control group(HR,0.57[95%CI,0.33-0.98];p=0.043).Grade 3 or higher AEs occurred in 20.0%of patients in the immunotherapy group and 23.5%in the control groups,with no toxicity-associated deaths *** addition of PD1-T cells to first-line XELOX plus bevacizumab demonstrates significant clinical improvement of PFS and OS with well tolerability in patients with previously untreated mCRC.

Real-time,contact-free temperature monitoring of low to medium range(30℃-150℃)has been extensively used in industry and agriculture,which is usually realized by costly infrared temperature detection *** paper proposes an alternative approach of extracting temperature information in real time from the visible light images of the monitoring target using a convolutional neural network(CNN).A mean-square error ofge using the CNN and the visible light *** angle and imaging distance do not affect the temperature detection using visible optical images by the ***,the CNN has a certain illuminance generalization ability capable of detection temperature information from the images which were collected under different illuminance and were not used for *** to the conventional machine learning algorithms mentioned in the recent literatures,this real-time,contact-free temperature measurement approach that does not require any further image processing operations facilitates temperature monitoring applications in the industrial and civil fields.

土壤无机氮作为植物可直接吸收和利用的氮源,其含量变化反映了土壤供氮能力。大量研究表明荒漠生态系统中土壤无机氮含量受到灌木种类和空间位置的影响。然而,有关采样方向对土壤无机氮含量的影响,目前仍所知甚少。基于此,本研究以准噶尔荒漠西北缘两种广泛分布的优势灌木为对象-梭梭和里海盐爪爪,通过测定和计算两物种个体大小(大、中、小和较小个体)在4个空间位置(主根周围、冠幅中央、冠幅边缘和株间空地)和4个采样方向(东、南、西和北)上0~10 cm和10~20 cm土层中土壤铵态氮、硝态氮含量和铵硝比,分析了灌木个体大小、空间位置和采样方向主效应及其交互效应对各土层无机氮含量的影响。研究结果发现:1)梭梭和里海盐爪爪冠下土壤无机氮含量均受到个体大小主效应的影响。两物种大个体冠下硝态氮含量均显著高于较小个体,梭梭大个体冠下铵态氮含量和铵硝比最低,而里海盐爪爪大个体冠下则拥有最高的铵态氮含量和铵硝比,表明土壤无机氮含量变化存在灌木个体大小依赖性。2)两物种冠下0~10 cm土层中硝态氮和铵态氮含量都显著高于10~20 cm,意味着灌木对表层土壤无机氮的影响幅度更大。3)梭梭冠下土壤无机氮含量还受到个体大小与采样方向交互作用的影响,且在冠幅东侧和南侧存在无机氮富集特征。4)空间位置和采样方向对里海盐爪爪冠下土壤无机氮存在显著交互作用,在里海盐爪爪冠下东侧和南侧,主根周围无机氮含量普遍高于其他3个空间位置。这些结果表明荒漠生态系统中土壤无机氮的变化特征因物种而异,同时受到个体大小、空间位置和采样方向等多种因素的影响。

Effect of copper on the degradation of pesticides cypermethrin and cyhalothrin

The influence of coexisting copper （Cu） ion on the degradation of pesticides pyrethroid cypermethrin and cyhalothrin in soil and photodegradation in water system were studied. Serial concentrations of the pesticides with the addition of copper ion were spiked in the soil and incubated for a regular period of time, the analysis of the extracts from the soil was carded out using gas chromatography （GC）. The photodegradation of pyrethroids in water system was conducted under UV irradiation. The effect of Cu^2＋ on the pesticides degradation was measured with half life 00.5） of degradation. It was found that a negative correlation between the degradation of the pyrethroid pesticides in soil and Cu addition was observed. But Cu^2＋ could accelerate photodegradation of the pyrethroids in water. The t0.5 for cyhalothrin extended from 6.7 to 6.8 d while for cypermethrin extended from 8.1 to 10.9 d with the presence of copper ion in soil. As for photodegradation, t0.5 for cyhalothrin reduced from 173.3 to 115.5 min and for cypermethrin from 115.5 to 99.0 min. The results suggested that copper influenced the degradation of the pesticides in soil by affecting the activity of microorganisms. However, it had catalyst tendency for photodegradation in water system. The difference for the degradation efficiency of pyrethroid isomers in soil was also observed. Copper could obviously accelerate the degradation of some special isomers.

Sorbitol induces flower bud formation via the MADS-box transcription factor EjCAL in loquat

Sorbitol is an important signaling molecule in fruit trees. Here, we observed that sorbitol increased during flower bud differentiation(FBD) in loquat(Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.). Transcriptomic analysis suggested that bud formation was associated with the expression of the MADS-box transcription factor(TF) family gene, EjCAL. RNA fluorescence in situ hybridization showed that EjCAL was enriched in flower primordia but hardly detected in the shoot apical meristem. Heterologous expression of EjCAL in Nicotiana benthamiana plants resulted in early FBD. Yeast-one-hybrid analysis identified the ERF12 TF as a binding partner of the EjCAL promoter. Chromatin immunoprecipitation-PCR confirmed that EjERF12 binds to the EjCAL promoter, and β-glucuronidase activity assays indicated that EjERF12 regulates EjCAL *** loquat trees with sorbitol promoted flower bud formation and was associated with increased expression of EjERF12 and EjCAL. Furthermore, we identified EjUF3GaT1 as a target gene of EjCAL and its expression was activated by EjCAL. Function characterization via overexpression and RNAi reveals that EjUF3GaT1 is a biosynthetic gene of flavonoid hyperoside. The concentration of the flavonoid hyperoside mirrored that of sorbitol during FBD and exogenous hyperoside treatment also promoted loquat bud formation. We identified a mechanism whereby EjCAL might regulate hyperoside biosynthesis and confirmed the involvement of EjCAL in flower bud formation in planta. Together,these results provide insight into bud formation in loquat and may be used in efforts to increase yield.

Recently discovered reflective Pancharatnam-Berry phase(PB phase)from chiral anisotropic media(e.g.,cholesteric liquid crystal,CLC)has aroused great interest in the emerging frontier of planar ***,the single chirality of common CLCs results in the intrinsic limitation of the same spin-selective PB phase manipulation,which means the reversal of the input spin cannot realize the conjugated PB *** this work,an innovative scheme based on opposite-chirality-coexisted superstructures is proposed to simultaneously modulate orthogonal circular polarization and get PB phase *** refilling CLC into a washed-out polymer network with opposite chirality and delicate photo-patterned structures,reflective optical vortex(OV)with opposite topological charges and vector beams with conjugated spiral PB phases are efficiently generated depending on the incident ***,OV holograms are encoded to reconstruct polarization-selective OV arrays,indicating the strong capability of such opposite-chirality-coexisted anisotropic *** work provides a new compact platform for planar optics,and sheds light on the architectures and functionalities of chiral superstructures.
