Monitoring the green evolution of vernacular buildings based on deep learning and multi-temporal remote sensing images

The increasingly mature computer vision(CV)technology represented by convolutional neural networks(CNN)and available high-resolution remote sensing images(HR-RSIs)provide opportunities to accurately measure the evolution of natural and artificial environments on Earth at a large *** on the advanced CNN method high-resolution net(HRNet)and multi-temporal HR-RSIs,a framework is proposed for monitoring a green evolution of courtyard buildings characterized by their courtyards being roofed(CBR).The proposed framework consists of an expert module focusing on scenes analysis,a CV module for automatic detection,an evaluation module containing thresholds,and an output module for data *** on this,the changes in the adoption of different CBR technologies(CBRTs),including light-translucent CBRTs(LT-CBRTs)and non-lighttranslucent CBRTs(NLT-CBRTs),in 24 villages in southern Hebei were identified from 2007 to *** evolution of CBRTs was featured as an inverse S-curve,and differences were found in their evolution stage,adoption ratio,and development speed for different ***-CBRTs are the dominant type but are being replaced and surpassed by NLT-CBRTs in some villages,characterizing different preferences for the technology type of *** proposed research framework provides a reference for the evolution monitoring of vernacular buildings,and the identified evolution laws enable to trace and predict the adoption of different CBRTs in a particular *** work lays a foundation for future exploration of the occurrence and development mechanism of the CBR phenomenon and provides an important reference for the optimization and promotion of CBRTs.

With the development and regulatory approval of immune checkpoint inhibitors and adoptive cell therapies,cancer immunotherapy has undergone a profound transformation over the past ***,therapeutic cancer vaccines have shown promise by eliciting de novo T cell responses targeting tumor antigens,including tumor-associated antigens and tumor-specific *** objective was to amplify and diversify the intrinsic repertoire of tumor-specific T ***,the complete realization of these capabilities remains an ongoing ***,we provide an overview of the current landscape of cancer vaccines in this *** range of antigen selection,antigen delivery systems development the strategic nuances underlying effective antigen presentation have pioneered cancer vaccine ***,this review addresses the current status of clinical trials and discusses their strategies,focusing on tumor-specific immunogenicity and anti-tumor efficacy ***,current clinical attempts toward developing cancer vaccines have not yielded breakthrough clinical outcomes due to significant challenges,including tumor immune microenvironment suppression,optimal candidate identification,immune response evaluation,and vaccine manufacturing ***,the field is poised to overcome hurdles and improve patient outcomes in the future by acknowledging these clinical complexities and persistently striving to surmount inherent constraints.

One key strategy to enhance photocatalytic performance is to improve the transfer and separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers by building optimized ***,novel Bi_(4)O_5Br_(2)/NH_(2)-MIL-125(Ti)Z-scheme heterojunctions are fabricated and used as photocatalysts for organic pollutant *** NH_(2)-MIL-125(Ti)nanosheets are exfoliated via a self-developed alkali solution stripping approach and then uniformly decorated on Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2).The as-prepared Bi_(4)O_(5)Br_(2)/NH_(2)-MIL-125(Ti)presents more than 90%degradation of various pollutants,outperforming the counterpart individual *** various characterization results suggest that the enhanced degradation rate is due to the more intimate face-to-face interfacial contact of the lamellar Z-scheme heterojunction materials,in which the migration path of carriers from the material's interior to the surface can be reduced,in turn enhancing migration efficiency and separation capability significantly.A possible photocatalytic reaction mechanism is proposed based on the photoelectric behaviors,radical trapping experiments and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry *** work promotes the development of new photocatalytic materials for heterojunctions with face-to-face interfacial contacts,as well as the effective purification of wastewater in environmental remediation.

The global food systems face significant interrelated and complex challenges,including climate change,extreme weather events,natural resource depletion,biodiversity loss,emerging plant and animal diseases,conflict and trade *** number of global populations that lacked access to adequate food sharply increased during the COVID-19 *** is estimated that in 2021,about 702 million to 828 million people around the world suffer from hunger,with an increase of 150 million people alone due to the outbreak of the global COVID19 pandemic[1].Reduced incomes,food price inflations and continued supply chain disruptions will lead to even more severe and widespread increases in global food insecurity if urgent action is not taken,affecting vulnerable households in almost every country.

Maintenance of andromonoecy in an autogamous species:Superior male function in male flowers of the endangered Sagittaria guayanensis

Andromonoecy is a rare sexual system in *** function of additional male flowers in andromonoecious species has been widely discussed;however,few studies have taken offspring fitness into *** addition,little is known about the mechanisms that maintain andromonoecy in autogamous *** this study,we compared morphology,pollinator preference,pollen production and export,siring ability,natural siring success,hundred seed dry weight,and seed germination rates between male and hermaphroditic flowers in an endangered autogamous andromonoecious species,Sagittaria *** flowers,which are larger than hermaphroditic flowers,required fewer resources to *** visited male flowers more frequently than they visited hermaphroditic *** addition,pollen production and export were higher in male *** pollination demonstrated that siring ability did not differ between flower ***,the natural siring success of male flowers was triple that of hermaphroditic *** seeds sired by male flowers performed better than those sired by hermaphroditic flowers,with greater dry weight and higher germination *** conclusion,male flowers may be superior pollen donors for *** maintenance of andromonoecy in *** may result from the better performance of male flowers in male function compared to that of hermaphroditic flowers.

We propose a unified thermodynamic model of flow-induced crystallization of polymer(uFIC),which incorporates not only the conformational entropy reduction but also the contributions of flow-induced chain orientation,the interaction of ordered segments,and the free energy of crystal nucleus and crystal ***,it clarifies the determining parameters of the critical crystal nucleus size,and is able to account for the acceleration of nucleation,the emergence of precursor,different crystal morphologies and structures induced by *** on the nucleation barrier under flow,we analyze at which condition precursor may occur and how flow affects the competition among different crystal forms such as orthorhombic and hexagonal phases of *** to the uFIC model,the different crystal morphologies and structures in the flow-temperature space have been clarified,which give a good agreement with experiments of FIC.

Dynamic and Power Generation Features of A Wind-Wave Hybrid System Consisting of A Spar-Type Wind Turbine and An Annular Wave Energy Converter in Irregular Waves

Combining wave energy converters(WECs)with floating offshore wind turbines proves a potential strategy to achieve better use of marine renewable *** full coupling investigation on the dynamic and power generation features of the hybrid systems under operational sea states is necessary but limited by numerical simulation *** an aero-hydro-servo-elastic coupling numerical tool is developed and applied to investigate the motion,mooring tension,and energy conversion performance of a hybrid system consisting of a spar-type floating wind turbine and an annular wave energy *** show that the addition of the WEC has no significant negative effect on the dynamic performance of the platform and even enhances the rotational stability of the *** surge and pitch motion,the peak of the spectra is originated from the dominating wave component,whereas for the heave motion,the peak of the spectrum is the superposed effect of the dominating wave component and the resonance of the *** addition of the annular WEC can slightly improve the wind power by making the rotor to be in a better position to face the incoming wind and provide considerable wave energy production,which can compensate for the downtime of the offshore wind.

Numerical study on the evolution of the shock-accelerated SF_6 interface:Influence of the interface shape

The early phases of the shock interaction process on two-dimensional interfaces with different shapes are numerically investigated in this study,which are closely related to the shock refraction and reflection,vorticity production and *** numerical method employs an adaptive unstructured quadrilateral mesh,which can capture the wave pattern and interface evolution very *** are carried out under the conditions of an incident shock Mach number of 1.2 and the light/heavy (air/SF 6) *** different shapes are considered in the simulations:rectangle,ellipse,diamond and two kinds of *** results show that the interfacial shapes can influence the wave patterns particularly on the shape and evolution of refracted shock *** generation and the distribution of vorticity on the interfaces with five different shapes also have *** circulation deposition on five interfaces is quantitatively investigated and compared with theoretical model.A good agreement is found between the numerical results and the predictions by the theoretical *** characteristic scales of the interface are *** the influence of nonlinear-acoustic effect and vorticity effect,the interfaces present different evolution modes.
