Zircon Hf Isotope of Yingfeng Rapakivi Granites from.the Quanji m.ssif and ～2.7 Ga Crustal Growth

The Quanji （全吉） m.ssif is located in the Northwest China, which is interpreted as a m.cro-continent that is com.osed of m.tam.rphic basem.nt and stable cover strata. There are som. controversies of genetic relationship between the Quanji m.ssif and the m.jor cratons in China. In this study, we obtained in situ zircon U-Pb and Hf isotopic com.ositions of the Yingfeng （鹰峰） rapakivi granites from.the northwest Quanji m.ssif by application of LA-m.-ICP-m. technique. Twenty U-Pb age m.asurem.nts points are concordant or near concordant, and their weighted m.an 207pb/206pb age is 1 793.9±6.4 m. （m.WD= 1.09）, yields an upper intercept age of 1 800±17 m. （m.WD=0.41）; 19 Hf isotope m.asurem.nts yield a two-stage Hf m.del ages （TDm.） of 2.63 to 2.81 Ga, with a weighted average age of about 2.70±0.02 Ga and till（t）values variate between -8.91 to -5.35. This indicates that m.gm. source of the Yingfeng rapakivi granites were produced from.partial m.lting of late stage of Neoarchean juvenile crust, and suggests a significant crustal growth event occurred in the Quanji m.ssif at that tim.. The Quanji m.ssif m.ght be an ancient continental segm.nt detached from.the Tarim.Craton based on the crustal growth history and other geological records. The Tarim.Craton （including the Quanji m.ssif） and the North China Craton had a sim.lar or hom.logical early crustal evolution around -2.7 Ga, which im.lies that Tarim.Craton m.ght be one of the com.onent parts of North China Craton. of the Yingfeng rapakivi granites were produced from.partial m.lting of late stage of Neoarchean juve- nile crust, and suggests a significant crustal growth event occurred in the Quanji m.ssif at that tim.. The identification of jets originating from.quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an im.ortant role in various analyses perform.d at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard m.del m.asurem.nts and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the m.asurem.nt of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated lum.nosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high perform.nces in rejecting jets from.gluon over jets from.quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirem.nts on the num.er of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other com.ines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A m.thod is established to determ.ne the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsam.les defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and sim.lation are provided for jets with transverse m.m.ntum.between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for m.ltiple tagger working points.

m.ny patients with pancreas cancer present with locally advanced pancreatic cancer(LAPC).The principle tools used for diagnosis and staging of LAPC include endoscopic ultrasound,axial im.ging with com.uted tom.graphy and m.gnetic resonance im.ging,and diagnostic *** definition of resectability has historically been vague,as there is considerable debate and controversy as to the definition of *** the patient with LAPC,there is som. level of involvem.nt of the surrounding vascular structures,which include the superior m.senteric artery,celiac axis,hepatic artery,superior m.senteric vein,or portal *** feasible,m.st surgeons would recom.end possible surgical resection for patients with borderline LAPC,with the goal of an R0 *** initially unresectable LAPC,neoadjuvant should be strongly ***,these patients should be offered neoadjuvant therapy,and the tum.r should be assessed for possible response and eventual *** efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy with this approach as a bridge to potential curative resection is broad,ranging from.3%-79%.The different m.dalities of neoadjuvant therapy include sin-gle or m.lti-agent chem.therapy com.ined with radiation,chem.therapy alone,and chem.therapy followed by chem.therapy with *** review focuses on patients with LAPC and addresses recent advances and controversies in the field.

Repression of the Auxin Response Pathway Increases Arabidopsis Susceptibility to Necrotrophic Fungi

In plants, resistance to necrotrophic pathogens depends on the interplay between different horm.ne system., such as those regulated by salicylic acid （SA）, jasm.nic acid （JA）, ethylene, and abscisic acid. Repression of auxin signaling by the SA pathway was recently shown to contribute to antibacterial resistance. Here, we dem.nstrate that Arabidopsis auxin signaling m.tants axrl, axr2, and axr6 that have defects in the auxin-stim.lated SCF （Skpl-Cullin- F-box） ubiquitination pathway exhibit increased susceptibility to the necrotrophic fungi Plectosphaerella cucum.rina and Botrytis cinerea. Also, stabilization of the auxin transcriptional repressor AXR3 that is norm.lly targeted for rem.val by the SCF-ubiquitin/proteasom. m.chinery occurs upon P. cucum.rina infection. Pharm.cological inhibition of auxin transport or proteasom. function each com.rom.se necrotroph resistance of wild-type plants to a sim.lar extent as in non-treated auxin response m.tants. These results suggest that auxin signaling is im.ortant for resistance to the necrotro- phic fungi P. cucum.rina and B. cinerea. SGTlb （one of two Arabidopsis SGT1 genes encoding HSP90/HSC70 co-chaperones） prom.tes the functions of SCF E3-ubiquitin ligase com.lexes in auxin and JA responses and resistance conditioned by certain Resistance （R） genes to biotrophic pathogens. We find that sgtlb m.tants are as resistant to P. cucum.rina as wild-type plants. Conversely, auxin/SCF signaling m.tants are uncom.rom.sed in RPP4-triggered resistance to the obligate biotrophic oom.cete, Hyaloperonospora parasitica. Thus, the predom.nant action of SGTlb in R gene-conditioned resis- tance to oom.cetes appears to be at a site other than assisting SCF E3-ubiquitin ligases. However, genetic additivity of sgtlb axrl double m.tants in susceptibility to H. parasitica suggests that SCF-m.diated ubiquitination contributes to lim. iting biotrophic pathogen colonization once plant-pathogen com.atibility is established.

Discovery of a Sheeted Dike Com.lex in the Northern Yangtze Craton and Its Im.lications for Craton Evolution

The m.aowan （庙湾） ophiolite is a highly dism.m.ered ophiolitic com.lex cropping out near the northern m.rgin of the Yangtze craton. The rocks of this com.lex consist of, from.bottom.to top, harzburgite tectonite locally containing podiform.chrom.te, dunite, layered and isotropic gabbro, a sheeted dike com.lex （SDC）, m.ta-pillow lavas with chert pods and layers, and tectonically intercalated m.rble. The SDC is a very im.ortant and significant part of the m.aowan ophiolitic sequence, and grades downward into gabbro and ultram.fic rocks, and upward into m.ta-pillow lavas. Som. dikes preserve one-way chilled m.rgins, typical of extensional ophiolitic settings, whereas m.st preserve dou-ble chilled m.rgins, in cases where the chilling direction can be determ.ned. The SDC is m.inly com.posed of m.ta-diabase （dolerite）, m.ta-plagiogranite, and sm.ll am.unts of m.ta-gabbro and ultram.fic rocks. LA-ICP-m. zircon dating yields an upper intercept age of 1 026±79 m. for one m.ta-plagiogranite, 1 043±23 m. for a second m.ta-plagiogranite and I 096±32 m. for one m.ta-gabbro at the bottom.of the SDC, suggesting form.tion of the SDC at circa 1 026-1 096 m., consistent with the recently determ.ned form.tion age of the m.aowan ophiolite. Sparse geochem.cal data on the m.ta-diabase indicate that the protolith was a sub-alkaline, low-potassium.tholeiite sim.lar to m.d-ocean ridge basalt （m.RB）. The chondrite-norm.lized rare earth elem.nt （REE） patterns of the m.ta-diabase are generally flat （（La/Yb）N=0.56-0.94）, with a slight depletion in LREE, but no obvious Eu anom.lies. Given that the m.ta-plagiogranites show evidence of form.tion in a suprasubduction zone environm.nt, we suggest that the basalts were originally island arc tholeiites, perhaps form.d in an extensional forearc setting. The geochem.stry of the m.ta-diabase and plagiogranite from.the sheeted dikes, together with regional relationships, all agree with the previous interpretations that the m.aowan ophiolite form.d in a sup

One of the m.st com.on cancers worldwide, colorectal cancer (CRC) has been associated with significant m.rbidity and m.rtality and therefore represents an enorm.us burden to the health care system. Recent advances in CRC treatm.nts have provided patients with prim.ry and m.tastatic CRC a better long-term.prognosis. The presence of synchronous or m.tachronous m.tastasis has been associated, however, with worse survival. The m.st com.on site of m.tastatic disease is the liver. A variety of treatm.nt m.dalities aim.d at targeting colorectal liver m.tastases (CRLm. has been dem.nstrated to im.rove the prognosis of these patients. Loco-regional approaches such as surgical resection and tum.r ablation (operative and percutaneous) can provide patients with a chance at long-term.disease control and even cure in select populations. Size of tum.rs, proxim.ty to adjacent anatom.cal structures, and volum. of the unaffected liver are am.ng the m.st im.ortant im.ging param.ters to determ.ne the suitability of patients for surgical m.nagem.nt or other appropriate treatm.nt approaches. We herein provide a com.rehensive overview of current-state-of-the-art im.ging in the m.nagem.nt of CRLm. including staging, treatm.nt planning, response and survival assessm.nt, and post-treatm.nt surveillance. Com.uted tom.graphy (CT) scan and m.gnetic resonance im.ging (m.I) are two m.st com.only used techniques, which can be used solely or in com.ination with functional im.ging m.dalities such as positron em.ssion tom.graphy (PET) and diffusion weighted im.ging (DWI).
