Coseismic Effects of the 2011 Magnitude 9.0 Tohoku-Oki Earthquake Measured at Far East Russia Continental Coast by Gravity and GPS Methods

This work presents the results of complex gravity observation performed at Shults Cape, Gamov peninsula (42.58°N, 131.15°E), Russia. Absolute laser gravimeter GABL type and Scintrex type relative gravimeter were used for measurement. To investigate the accuracy of tidal corrections we compared the observed tidal parameters of the main tidal waves O1 and M2 with modeled ones computed from 6 different ocean tidal models: CSR4, FES02, FES04, GOT00, NAO99 and TPX06. After discussion a theoretical model based on TPX06 ocean tides model and DDW99 non hydrostatic body tides model was used for tidal correction of absolute gravity data. Preliminary estimate of gravity effect induced by the Tohoku-Oki earthquake of11 March 2011Mw = 9.0 at Primorye territory (Russia) was found to be 5.1 ± 2.0 μGal. Co-seismic crustal displacements revealed by GPS data at Far EastRussiacontinental coast are also investigated. Volumetric dilatation of this area is observed at +1.7 × 10-8 level.

Seismic method is usually used for elastic parametric estimation. This is why this method presents dynamic parameters of Earth. Frequency seismic range changes greatly from geodynamic modelling time. Now we have opportunity to use geodesy result for some years for elastic parameters estimation. Static solution from elastic theory may be used for the interpretation of long term results. It presents static elastic parameter. The inverse problem for different types of vertical surface loading on one year period is calculated. Two cases of loading with maximal and minimal area are presented. Results are determined by space geodesy and leveling methods. Current relation between atmospheric pressure and vertical displacements was estimated at the center of Siberian Anti Cyclone with size varied from 2000 km to 3000 kin. Pressure-displacement coefficients （PDC） can be achieved by three years obser- vation （0.997 mm/mbar for NVSK GPS station）. It is used for elastic module study of geology medium with maximum thickness up to 600 km. In the context of elastic model, the modulus of rigidity is estimated to be 113 GPa. Vast expanse of anti-cyclone may relate with rheology of crust and upper mantle. Smaller size of surface loading - local loading is seasonal variation of water reservoir. Annual vertical changes were obtained by leveling near the dam of the reservoir. PDC ratio was 1.15 mm/bar for these places. In elastic theory, the Young modulus E = 80 GPa （Poisson ratio = 0.25, the modulus of rigidity - 32 GPa） was calculated by sixteen years of leveling measurements. This result can effectively be represented for upper crust. Our results were checked by solution for coseismic displacement of Chyia- Altai earthquake （Sep. 27, 2003, M = 7.3）. Coseismic results calculated by static modules agree with experimental coseismic GPS data at 10% level.

The results of experimental research of multi-injector combustors in the regime of the attached pipe are *** a source of high-enthalpy working gas (air), hot shot wind tunnel IT-302M of ITAM, the Siberian Branch ofthe Russian Academy of Sciences was used. Tests have been carried out at Mach numbers 3,4 and 5, in a range ofchange of total temperature from 2000K up to 3000K and static pressure from 0.08MPa up to 0.23MPa. Injectorsection has been manufactured in two versions with a various relative height of wedge-shaped injectors with parallelfuel injection. Influence of conditions on the entrance of the combustion chamber on ignition and a stablecombustion of hydrogen was investigated. Intensive combustion of hydrogen has been received only at Machnumbers 3 and 4. Advantage of injector section with the greater relative height of injectors is revealed. Themechanism of fuel ignition in the combustion chamber of the given configuration was investigated: two-step ignitionprocess including 'kindling' and intensive combustion over all channel volume.

The article aims to highlight Russian approaches to Chinese One Belt-One Roadinitiative. It examines possible opportunities and challenges for co-development of theEurasian Economic Union and the Belt project. Both projects and their co-developmentmay reduce the uncertainty in Eurasia, caused by significant structural changes ininternational relations and the world economy, the emergence of new trade regimesand the erosion of leadership in international affairs. Russian interests in this regardare determined by the need for modernization and long-term development, which couldalso help to address acute security issues. These particular factors encouraged Russiato come up with an ambitious plan of the Extensive Eurasian Partnership, although theprospects of its implementation currently are uncertain. The present article argues thatthe success of Russia-China collaboration in Eurasia will depend crucially on the futuredynamics of the Eurasian integration, as well as on the agreement to co-develop theEurasian Economic Union and the Belt Initiative with concrete and mutually beneficialprojects.

The paper is focused on different kinds of gravity results obtained in Shults Cape Observatory for 2010 -2015. Gravity observation is interpreted together with GPS observation data which was obtained from 2012 to 2015 at the same station, The station is situated on Gamov peninsular （42.58° N, 131.15° E, Russia） at the coast of Japan Sea, This region constitutes the eastern boundary of Eurasia. This major continental tectonic feature is associated with a seismic activity, high heat flow and anomalous thickness of earth＇s crust. The goal of the observation was the investigation of gravity variation with time and seismicity situation monitoring. Gravity observation was developed at special basement by absolute gravimeter （GABL type） and by spring gravimeter （SCINREX CG-5and gPhone type）. Tidal models were tested by results of observation with spring gravimeters. Reduction task was solved, as the experimental data received from different points of Shults Cape Observatory was used. Applied reduction coefficient is 203.3 12Gal m l, and agrees with theoretical calculation. Next goal was studying structure of earth＇s crust by means of gravity models. Gravity anomaly varied from 30 mGal to 46 mGal, which also depend on difference reference system, Experimental results were used for testing of the structure of continental boundary, which also depends on the sea bottom flexion. Thickness of elastic layer was estimated from 12 km to 18 km by using different models.

We analyzed the heat conductivity and volumetric heat capacity of sandy soil contaminated in two scenarios of oil pollution, and also determined the temperature dependencies of these changed thermophysical properties. In the first pollution scenario, the oil product was introduced into wet river sand, and in the second case, dry sand was contaminated by the oil product and was then moistened with water. By considering these two scenarios as multicomponent dispersion systems with varying degrees of contamination and humidity, and by using a polystructural granular model with pore spaces and closed inclusions, we calculated that the heat conductivity of the sandy soil increased under the first pollution scenario and decreased under the second, but the change in the volumetric heat capacity of the sandy soil was proportional only to the amount of oil pollution, not the manner in which it was introduced. We also determined the temperature dependencies of these two thermophysical properties of sandy soil when polluted by oil, of which information will be useful for future containment and remediation of oil-contaminated soil.

In this paper we will investigate some non-asymptotic properties of the modified least squares estimates for the non-linear function f(λ*) by observations that nonlinearly depend on the parameter λ*. Non-asymptotic confidence regions with fixed sizes for the modified least squares estimate are used. The obtained confidence region is valid for a finite number of data points when the distributions of the observations are unknown. Asymptotically the suggested estimates represent usual estimates of the least squares. The paper presents the results of practical applications of the proposed method in C-OTDR monitoring systems.
