The induction gener.tor.effect(IGE)and the openloop modal pr.ximity(OLMP)ar. two differ.nt r.asons why subsynchr.nous oscillations(SSOs)in a ser.es-compensated power.system(SCPS)may *** IGE attr.butes the gr.wing SSOs to negative r.sistance,while the OLMP explains the SSO mechanism fr.m the standpoint of modal *** this paper.we investigate the connections between the IGE and the OLMP thr.ugh equivalent r.C cir.uit and open-loop modal *** investigation is conducted for.two types of ser.escompensated power.systems wher. either.a synchr.nous gener.tor.or.a DFIG is connected at the sending *** investigation r.veals the conditions,in which the IGE and the OLMP may jointly cause the gr.wing SSOs,i.e.,both the IGE and the OLMP can explain why the gr.wing SSOs ***,the investigation indicates that the IGE and the OLMP may be totally ir.elevant and lead to gr.wing SSOs *** implies that it is possible that in a SCPS,the gr.wing SSOs ar. only due to the IGE,and the OLMP is non-existent,and vice ***,when the gr.wing SSOs occur. in a SCPS,examination based on both the IGE and the OLMP should be car.fully conducted in or.er.to find if the oscillator. instability is due to the IGE,or.the OLMP,or.both of them.

A simple, r.pid, sensitive and r.pr.ducible method for.enantiomer.analysis of methamphetamine, amphetamine, cathinone and methcathinone was developed and validated. The compounds wer. extr.cted fr.m equine plasma and ur.ne using a fast liquid-liquid extr.ction pr.cedur.. Only one milliliter.plasma and one hundr.d micr.liter.ur.ne sample is needed for.analysis. The extr.ction pr.cedur. had good r.cover. (>70%) and the matr.x effect was negligible. Enantiomer.differ.ntiation and confir.ation wer. achieved using liquid chr.matogr.phy with chir.l stationar. phase and mass spectr.metr. detection. The method demonstr.ted excellent r.pr.ducibility with intr.-day and inter.day pr.cision of lower.than 5%. The lower.limits of detection for.all of the compounds studied her. wer. at low pg/mL level for.both plasma and ur.ne. This is the fir.t r.por. of the analysis of four.chir.l compounds in equine plasma and ur.ne. r.utine application was demonstr.ted for.(S)- and (r.-enantiomer.differ.ntiation.
