Cellulose diacetate(CDA)can be melt processed to produce numerous and widely-used plastic ***,due to the high glass transition temperature(Tg)of CDA,the addition of up to 30 wt%of micromolecular plasticizers is indispensable,which significantly reduces the dimensional stability and raises safety concerns from the migration of *** this work,a series of CDA-graft poly(lactic acid)(CDA-g-PLA)copolymers were synthesized by ring-opening polymerization of lactide onto the hydroxyI groups of *** resultant CDA-g-PLA copolymers possess adjustable degrees of substitution(DSpua)and side chain length(DPpLa)by controlling the reaction time and feed *** Tgs and thermal flow temperatures(Ts)of CDA-g-PLA strongly depend on DPpA such as the Tgs decrease linearly with the increase of *** CDA-g-PLA copolymers with the DPLA of 3-9 can be directly processed to transparent plastics by melt processing without any external plasticizers,because of their low Tfs of 170-215℃.More *** CDA-g PLA can act as the macromolecular *** obtained CDA/CDA-g-PLA has higher storage modulus,flexural modulus and Young's modulus than the commercial CDA plasticized with triethyl *** addition,the CDA/CDA-g PLA exhibits high dimensional stabilty and anti-migration *** a long term treatment at 80℃ and 60%humidity,the CDA/CDA-g-PLA can retain the initial ***,this work not only proposes a facile method for achieving a direct thermoplastic processing of CDA,but also provides a macromolecular plasticizer for CDA to make lightweight,stable and safer biobased thermoplastics.

Flavonoid 3’-hydroxylase(F3’ H) and 3’,5’-hydroxylase(F3’5’ H) generate precursor molecules for the synthesis of cyanidin-based anthocyanins(red) and delphinidin-based anthocyanins(blue to purple) in Ribes nigrum L.(black currant). In this study, full-length 1780 and 165’-bp cDNA homologs of RnF3’5’ H1 and RnF3’ H1 from black currant were identified and cloned using a homologous cloning technique. Data revealed that Rn F3’5’ H1 and RnF3’ H1 are homologs that encode enzymes involved in anthocyanin synthesis from different plants,which phylogenetically cluster with the CYP75 B and CYP75 A families in the P45’ superfamily, *** enzymes encoded by these two genes also shared a high homology with flavonoid hydroxylases identified from other plants. Furthermore, RnF3’5’ H1 and RnF3’ H1 levels were upregulated during fruit maturation. RnF3’5’ H1 levels were associated with both anthocyanin and soluble carbohydrate levels in blackcurrant, while RnF3’ H1 expression did not have such an association. The structure and expression patterns of RnF3’5’ H1 and RnF3’ H1 in blackcurrant were also characterized. Further studies should aid understanding of anthocyanin biosynthesis in black currant to develop molecular approaches and manipulate anthocyanin production in blackcurrant.

Recent developments of advanced electronic and optoelectronic gas sensors are *** array with artificial intelligence algorithms and smart gas sensors in "Internet of Things" paradigm are *** of smart gas sensors in environmental monitoring, medical and healthcare applications, food quality control, and public safety are described. Gas sensor is an indispensable part of modern society with wide applications in environmental monitoring, healthcare, food industry, public safety, etc. With the development of sensor technology, wireless communication, smart monitoring terminal, cloud storage/computing technology, and artificial intelligence, smart gas sensors represent the future of gas sensing due to their merits of real-time multifunctional monitoring, early warning function, and intelligent and automated feature. Various electronic and optoelectronic gas sensors have been developed for high-performance smart gas analysis. With the development of smart terminals and the maturity of integrated technology, flexible and wearable gas sensors play an increasing role in gas analysis. This review highlights recent advances of smart gas sensors in diverse applications. The structural components and fundamental principles of electronic and optoelectronic gas sensors are described, and flexible and wearable gas sensor devices are highlighted. Moreover, sensor array with artificial intelligence algorithms and smart gas sensors in "Internet of Things" paradigm are introduced. Finally, the challenges and perspectives of smart gas sensors are discussed regarding the future need of gas sensors for smart city and healthy living.

BACKGROUND Complicated crown–root fracture (CRF) involves severe injury to the crown, root,and pulp, and may be accompanied by multiple root fractures. The loss of a toothhas lifelong consequences for children and teenagers, but the maintenance of pulphealth and the calcific healing of multiple root fractures are rarely reported in *** SUMMARY This case reports healing of a permanent tooth with complicated crown–root andadditional root fractures, in which pulp health was maintained. A 10-year-old girlfell and fractured the root of her maxillary left central incisor at the cervical *** the coronal fragment was repositioned, the tooth was splinted until thetooth was no longer mobile, 2 years later. Eight years after treatment, the toothhas remained asymptomatic with vital pulp and localized gingival ***-beam computed tomography revealed not only calcified healing of the CRFbut also spontaneous healing in an additional undiagnosed root fracture. Thefracture line on the enamel could not be healed by hard tissue and formed agroove in the cervical crown. It was speculated that the groove was related to thelocalized gingival *** This case provides a clinical perspective of the treatment of a tooth with acomplicated CRF and an additional root fracture.
