PNPLA3 I148M variant affects non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in liver transplant recipients

De novo non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is a common late complication for long-term survivors after liver transplantation. Genomic studies confirmed that PNPLA3 I148 M and TM6SF2 E167 K polymorphisms affected NAFLD susceptibility in the general population. However,this association was not validated in survivors after liver transplantation(LT). We performed a crosssectional survey to investigate this relationship. A comprehensive survey,including anthropometric measurements,fasting venous blood sampling,ultrasound,and questionnaires was performed in the shortterm. The clinical indications and patient's steatosis status before LT were collected from inpatient medical records. Sixty-five long-term recipients with a survival exceeding 10 years were enrolled in the final analysis. De novo NAFLD was more frequent in PNPLA3 GG carriers(0.33 vs 0.10 for GG vs CC + CG carriers,P = 0.018),while the genetic impact on NAFLD susceptibility was insignificant when categorized by the TM6SF2 polymorphism(0.19 in CC vs 0.14 in CT + TT carriers,P = 0.883). Multi-covariate analysis revealed that PNPLA3 exerted a significant genetic effect on de novoNAFLD following a recessive model(GG vs CC + CG,OR = 14.2,95%CI:1.78-113,P = 0.012). The baffle effectively slowed down debris flow velocity,reduced its kinetic energy,and significantly shortened the distance of debris flow ***,they are widely used for protection against natural hazards such as landslides and *** study,based on the threedimensional DEM(Discrete Element Method),investigated the impact of different baffle positions on debris flow *** flow velocity and kinetic energy variations were studied through single-factor *** baffle positions were preliminarily selected by analyzing the influence of the first-row baffle position on the impact force and accumulation mass of debris ***,based on the selected baffle positions and four factors influencing the effectiveness of baffle protection(baffle position(P),baffle height(h),row spacing(S_(r)),and angle of transit area(α)),an orthogonal design was employed to further explore the optimal arrangement of *** research results indicate that the use of a baffle structure could effectively slow down the motion velocity of debris flows and dissipate their *** the baffle is placed in the transit area,the impact force on the first-row baffle is greater than that when the baffle is placed in the deposition ***,when the baffle is placed in the transit area,the obstruction effect on debris flow mass is also greater than that when the baffle is placed in the deposition *** orthogonal experimental range analysis,when the impact on the first row of baffles is used as the evaluation criterion,the importance of each influencing factor is ranked asα>P>S_(r)>*** the mass of debris flow behind the baffle is regarded as the evaluation criterion,the rank is changed to P>α>S_(r)>*** experimental simulation results show that the optimal baffle arrangement is:P_(5),S_(r)=16,α=35°,h=9.

Water freezing in rock fractures causes volumetric expansion and fracture development through frost *** study introduces a novel analytical model to investigate how uneven freezing force and surrounding rock pressure influence fracture initiation,based on mass conservation,elasticity,and water-ice phase transition principles.A model for rock fracture initiation considering freezing temperature,uneven freezing expansion,in-situ stress,and lateral pressure was proposed based on fracture *** for stress intensity factors were developed and validated using the phase field *** effects of rock elastic modulus anisotropy and critical fracture energy density on fracture initiation were also *** results show that the values of KI and KII exhibit an upward trend as the freezing temperature,uneven expansion,in-situ stress,and lateral pressure *** uneven freezing expansion has the most significant influence on KI and KII values among these *** the uneven freezing expansion coefficient increases to 0.5,the fracture initiation mode shifts from tensile fracture to shear *** the lateral pressure coefficient increases to 1,the fracture initiation mode shifts from tensile fracture to shear *** elastic modulus anisotropy causes fractures to propagate in a clockwise direction,forming a'butterfly'*** fracture energy density an isotropy causes counterclockwise deviation in propagation direction,resulting in branching paths and an'H'-shaped pattern.

Sufficient survey data are required to describe the stochastic behaviors of live ***,due to manual and on-site operation required by traditional survey methods,traditional surveys face challenges like occupant resistance,high costs,and long implementation *** study proposes a new survey method to access live load data online and *** samples are acquired from multi-source,open-access and dynamically updated data on the *** change intervals,geometrical dimensions and object quantities are obtained from transaction information,building attributes and virtual reality models on real estate websites,*** object weights are collected from commodity information on e-commerce *** integration of the aforementioned data allows for the extraction of necessary statistics to describe a live load *** proposed method is applied to a live load survey in china,covering 20040 m^(2),with around 90000 samples acquired for object weights and load *** survey results reveal that about 70%−80%of the amplitude statistics are attributable to 1/6 of the total object types.

To tackle emerging power system small-signal stability problems such as wideband oscillations induced by the large-scale integration of renewable energy and power electronics,it is crucial to review and compare existing small-signal stability analysis *** this basis,guidance can be provided on determining suitable analysis methods to solve relevant small-signal stability problems in power electronics-dominated power systems(PEDPSs).Various mature methods have been developed to analyze the small-signal stability of PEDPSs,including eigenvalue-based methods,Routh stability criterion,Nyquist/Bode plot based methods,passivity-based methods,positive-net-damping method,lumped impedance-based methods,bifurcation-based methods,*** this paper,the application conditions,advantages,and limitations of these criteria in identifying oscillation frequencies and stability margins are reviewed and compared to reveal and explain connections and discrepancies among ***,efforts are devoted to mathematically proving the equivalence between these small-signal stability ***,the performance of these criteria is demonstrated and compared in a 4-machine 2-area power system with a wind farm and an IEEE 39-bus power system with 3 wind farms.

Modern suspension bridges exhibit a trend of lighter structures,more diversified structural forms,and longer spans,the latter already exceeding two *** performance under dead and live loads depends on their structural and main cable systems,while cablesupported bridges especially rely on the design analysis and construction control of the main *** literary survey systematically analyzes the research progress and state-ofthe-art status quo in the structural systems and design theories of suspension bridges,focusing on the structural systems,main cable shape analyses,live load effect analyses,and emerging lucrative research *** than 100 reliable references have been surveyed.(1)Multi-span or multi-main cable schemes appeal to increasing attention,which may become a better choice in terms of structural systems in scenarios with extremely long spans and heavy *** cable layouts,such as spatial main cables and hybrid cable-stayed suspension systems have also become feasible approaches for enhancing structural stiffness.(2)The shape-finding analysis during the construction phase is more complex and has more essential factors than that of the completed bridge *** theories combining analytical methods and finite element methods are more suitable for the shape-finding analysis of complex cable systems than any single theory of the two,especially for novel cable systems.(3)The live load effect analysis methods based on traditional deflection theory or modified/improved deflection theories still have wide applications,but the refined theory of treating hangers as discrete members is also constantly developing,which is expected to provide new ideas for more complex structural analysis under the different types of live loads and their distribution forms.
