The removal of cadmium（Cd） from synthetic solutions by batch adsorption process was performed using eggshell powder, which is mainly composed of calcite（CaCO3）. In order to optimize the adsorption process, a re- sponse surface methodology（RSM） based on Central Composite Design（CCD） was applied. Developed model for Cd removal yields（R, %） response was statistically validated by variance analysis（ANOVA） which showed a high de- termination coefficient value（R2=0.9889）. According to Minitab software, the optimal conditions were found at tem- perature of 44℃, eggshell adsorbent dose of 2.98 g, initial Cd concentration of 36.74 mg/L and initial pH of 7. Under these conditions, the Cd removal yield was 98.76%. The deviation value of 1.24% confirms the validity of the model for the adsorption process optimization. The adsorption isotherm has been described by a Freundlich model. In addition, the predominant sorption mechanisms are the chemisorptions or precipitation（non-reversible） and ion ex- change（reversible）.

Excess or lack of levels of nitrate in drinking water is harmful to the human health, the concentration of NO-3 ions must be maintained at 50 mg/l. Donnan dialysis (DD) used as a driving force of the concentration gradient is an effective and simple technique for nitrate removal. In this paper, the transport of nitrate through an AMX anion-exchange membrane has been studied as a function of driving ion nature, receiver phase concentration, flow rate, temperature and agitation rate under Donnan dialysis condition. It was observed that the hydrodynamic conditions and temperature were the main variables affecting the transmembrane flow. As the driving ion, the chloride ion is more efficient than the hydrogeneocarbonate ion. The systematic study of the different parameters involved showed that the nitrate removal efficiency obtained with a feed synthetic nitrate solution (62 ppm) was off 96%. This efficiency slightly decreases for a tap water containing the same nitrate concentration;it was about 84%. This can be attributed to the complex ionic composition of the natural water.

In this paper,we study in a constructive way the stabilization problem of fractional bilinear systems with multiple *** the quadratic Lyapunov functions and some additional hypotheses on the unit sphere,we construct stabilizing feedback laws for the considered fractional bilinear system.A numerical example is given to illustrate the efficiency of the obtained result.

In this paper, firstly we demonstrate the use of nodal admittance matrix to convert a low-pass band-pass filter based on operational amplifier（op-amp） to a circuit based on a second-generation current conveyor（CCII）. This technique allows us to get eight presumptions of filter circuits. Secondly, we present a novel architecture circuit of CCII, which can operate at low supply voltage of ±0.75 V. All simulations are performed by TSPICE models. The simulation results show that this circuit has a low impedance at terminal X（R X=1.01 Ω）, a very high input impedance at terminal Y, and wide bandwidth current and voltage. The center frequency of the proposed filter is variable on the interval [157 k Hz, 196 MHz].

Due to the water demand growth in southwestern Tunisia, particularly in Segui Gafsa-Tozeur area, the Tunisian Government launched a research program for new water resources in the lower Cretaceous layers within the Hauterivian and Barremian age. The present study highlights the major results of this project and defines the ability of the Barremian and Hauterivian series to be or not as good usable aquifers in this region. Seismic data show that the studied levels are located in deep trough with a very high depth. The water collected from the drilled wells in this region shows a very high salinity (80 g/l to 130 g/l) with a very low water level (끪 m/TN). These water levels are in hydrological isolation by faulting (faults trending NE-SW and NW-SE) with the Jerid area, where these layers are good water bearing. Thus, the studied series can't be considered as encouraging usable aquifers in the future. These results are crucial to make a decision and represent the guideline for research strategies in South-West Tunisia. Consequently, the government focuses on water search within the Turonian level which showed much more encouraging signs.

AIM:To assess the possible association between PTPN22(R620W) gene polymorphism and inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).METHODS:One hundred and sixty-four patients with IBD 105 Crohn's disease(CD) and 59 ulcerative colitis(UC) and 100 healthy controls were *** of the PTPN22 gene 1858C→T polymorphism was performed by restriction fragment length polymorphism-polymerase chain reaction with Rsa Ⅰ ***:The genotypic and allelic frequencies of(R620W) PTPN22 gene polymorphism reveal a significant association of the PTPN22 620-W allele with IBD,compared to the healthy control group(OR:17.81,95% CI:4.18-21.86,P = 0.00001).Nevertheless,nodifference in this polymorphism was found between CD and UC *** significant association was found between the frequencies of genotypes of the PTPN22 gene with either the clinical features such as sex,age,age at disease onset,and extent of colitis,or the production of serological markers(anti-Saccharomyces cerevisiae antibody in CD and perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody in UC).CONCLUSION:These observations confirm the association of IBD susceptibility with the PTPN22 1858T(620-W) allele in Tunisian patients.
