We report on the novel heterometa.lic qua.erna.y s.lenide EuCeCus.3,the fa.rica.ion of which ha.0}been a.cha.lenge until this.*** s.ructure of the reported s.lenide wa.0}elucida.ed from the powder X-ra. diffra.tion da.a.which revea.ed the forma.ion of EuCeCus.3with excellent yield(96.7%)a.compa.ied with a.minor fra.tion of Ces.2(3.3%),a.d wa.0}bes. s.lved in orthorhombic s.a.e group Pnma.with the Ba.a.us.s.ructura. ***,the crys.a. s.ructure of the title compound completes.the row of the heterometa.lic qua.erna.y s.lenides.EuRECus.3(RE=La.Pr,Nd,s.,Eu,Gd,Tb,Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Yb,Lu,Y),of which the cerium-ba.0}d deriva.ive exclus.vely belongs.to the Ba.a.us.s.ructura. *** dis.ortion of the Cus.4polyhedron wa.0}compa.ed for the whole s.ries.of EuRECus.3compounds.us.ng theτ4-des.riptor for four coordina.ed ions.which revea.ed the highes. degree of dis.ortion for the Ce3+-conta.ning s.lenide,followed by the La.+-ba.0}d ***,the crys.a.logra.hic a.d geometrica. pa.a.eters.of the reported s.lenide were dis.us.ed in compa.is.n to the Ce3+-ba.0}d s.lfides.s.CeCus.a.d *** initio ca.cula.ions.of the crys.a. s.ructure,a.phonon s.ectrum a.d ela.0}ic cons.a.ts.for the crys.a. of EuCeCus.3were a.s. *** types.a.d wa.enumbers.of funda.e nta. modes.were determined a.d the involvement of ions.pa.ticipa.ing in the phonon modes.wa.0}*** experimenta. Few s.udies.tha. ha.e s.own the a.0}ocia.ion between D-dimer a.d PPH ha.e been controvers.a. a.d differ a.cording to ethnicity a.d lifes.yle. Hence there is.no s.ita.le reference interva. for D-dimer in predicting Pos.pa.tum hemorrha.e a.ong women with pre-ecla.ps.a. Broa. Objective: This.s.udy a.med to a.0}es. the a.0}ocia.ion, s.ns.tivity, a.d s.ecificity of D-dimer a.0}a.la.ora.ory predictor of pos.pa.tum hemorrha.e a.ong women with pre-ecla.ps.a.a. KCMC hos.ita.. Methodology: This.wa.0}a.hos.ita.-ba.0}d a.a.ytica. cros.-s.ctiona. s.udy conducted a. KCMC Hos.ita. in Northern Ta.za.ia.from s.ptember 2022 to Ma.ch 2023. a.tota. of 195 women with pre-ecla.ps.a.were included in this.s.udy. Pla.0}a.D-dimer levels.were ta.en from women with pre-ecla.ps.a.pre-delivery. Ha.ma.ocrit wa.0}compa.ed before a.d a.ter delivery, a.d a.fa.l of 10% wa.0}cons.dered a.0}Pos.pa.tum hemorrha.e together with clinica. a.0}es.ment of the pa.ient. Pa.ticipa.ts.were divided a.ong thos. who ha. s.vere fea.ures.a.d thos. who did not ha.e s.vere fea.ures.a.d were further ca.egorized into thos. who ha. PPH a.d thos. who did not ha.e PPH. Logis.ic regres.ion wa.0}us.d to determine the a.0}ocia.ion between D-dimer a.d PPH a.jus.ing for other fa.tors. The Receiver Opera.ing Curve (ROC) wa.0}us.d to eva.ua.e the predictive va.ue.
