Porous metal-based carbon nanocomposites,with a monolithic shape,were prepared by a one-pot synthesis from dissolved cellulose and metallic salts using a simple,cheap,and environmentally friendly route.Their potential performances as electrochemical capacitors were tested with three metal precursors(M=Cu,Mn,and Fe)with two loadings and in an asymmetric cell for the Fe-based carbon material.Interestingly,here soluble metal precursors were not deposited on a hard cellulose template but mixed in a precooled concentrated NaOH solution where cellulose was previously dissolved,allowing for a good dispersion of the metallic species.After a freezing step where concomitant cellulose regeneration and pore ice-templating phenomena took place,followed by a carbonization step,the mixture led to a porous carbon monolith embedding well-dispersed metal-based nanoparticles having a diameter below 20 nm and present as metallic,oxide,or carbide phase(s)according to the element M.These materials were characterized by different physicochemical techniques and electrochemical tests.Their performances as supercapacitors are discussed in light of the specific behaviour of the metal-based phase and its influence on the carbon matrix properties such as mesopore formation and carbon graphitization.An asymmetric energy storage cell assembled with a Fe-based carbon electrode against a carbon xerogel electrode derived from a phenolic resin shows specific energy and power of 18.3 Wh kg^(−1)at 5 mA cm^(−2)and 1.6 kW kg^(−1)at 25 mA cm^(−2),respectively.

We review the long-term survival chances of young massive star clusters （YMCs）, hallmarks of intense starburst episodes often associated with Violent galaxy interactions. We address the key question as to whether at least some of these YMCs can be considered protoglobular clusters （GCs）, in which case these would be expected to evolve into counterparts of the ubiquitous old GCs believed to be among the oldest galactic building blocks. In the absence of significant external perturbations, the key factor determining a cluster＇s long-term survival chances is the shape of its stellar initial mass function （IMF）. It is, however, not straightforward to assess the IMF shape in unresolved extragalactic YMCs. We discuss in detail the promise of using high-resolution spectroscopy to make progress towards this goal, as well as the numerous pitfalls associated with this approach. We also discuss the latest progress in worldwide efforts to better understand the evolution of entire cluster systems, the disruption processes they are affected by, and whether we can use recently gained insights to determine the nature of at least some of the YMCs observed in extragalactic starbursts as proto-GCs. We conclude that there is an increasing body of evidence that GC formation appears to be continuing until today; their long-term evolution crucially depends on their environmental conditions, however.

Although the gut microbial communities in adult bumblebees and their as- sociated functionalities are widely studied, descriptive data on the larval gut microbiota are still limited. The gut microbiota of a fully sampled wild Bombus pascuorum nest has been characterized, using the multiplexed Illumina MiSeq 16S ribosomal RNA ampli- con sequencing technique. The nesters and foragers inhabiting the same nest showed the typical core bacterial sequences and only marginal differences in their characterized gut microbiota. The gut microbial communities within the adult and larval specimens differed strongly, as the typical core gut bacteria in the adult bumblebees are absent in the larval bumblebees. The bacterial communities within the larval gut are dominated by bacterial phylotypes of Enterobacteriaceae and Lactobacillaceae, supplemented with genera be- longing to Corynebacteriales and Bacillales. The function of this larval gut microbiota, being different from the adult, remains to be determined.

The endemic Philippine crocodile （Crocodylus mindorensis） is a relatively small, critically endangered fresh-water crocodile. In a head start program, crocodile hatchlings are caught in the wild, reared in captivity, and released back into the wild after two years. The current study aimed to determine optimal rearing strategies of Philippine crocodile hatchlings, including identification of possible diseases during rearing, and studying the effect of ages on natural antibody （NAb） levels. Thirty Philippine crocodiles were divided into two groups, half were reared with a hiding board, and half without the hiding board. Both groups received three different kinds of diets： meat, shrimp, or a combination of both. Saliva samples of the crocodiles were taken three times over a period of three months to test for NAb levels. Saliva samples were also taken from older crocodiles and crocodiles from different locations. NAb titres were compared to sheep red blood cells. Each time saliva samples were taken, a health check was done. The results showed that crocodiles would prefer the hiding board, and neither housing nor diet could affect the level of NAb titres in saliva. A positive correlation was found between NAb titres and body size, weight and age. Wild hatchlings had higher NAb titres than the hatchlings born in captivity, but the difference diminished with ageing. Five different diseases were found.

Actinides co-precipitation is currently investigated in order to synthesize solid solutions of actinides mixed oxalates. This paper deals with the thermodynamic and kinetic study of the precipitation of uranium-neodymium oxalate system. Based on an analysis of the theories developed in the literature, a new expression for the determination of the supersaturation ratio for the solid solutions is presented. An experimental study of the nucleation kinetics was performed on the mixed uranium-neodymium oxalates. Homogeneous and heterogeneous primary nucleation laws are obtained using a specific stopped flow apparatus. The experimental results are consistent with the classical behaviour of nucleation phenomena. The values of the kinetic parameters for the solid solution point out that the formation of the uraniumneodymium mixed oxalates is kinetically favoured compared with the simple uranium and neodymium oxalates.

采用线索提示和视听Oddball结合的实验设计,通过四个实验探讨了外周视线索下视觉工作记忆负载对听觉偏差干扰效应的调控作用。结果表明:(1)操作外周视线索有效性为50%的条件下,视觉工作记忆负载的增加使得原本抑制无关声音的过程失败,因此出现了显著的听觉偏差干扰效应;(2)操作外周视线索有效性为80%的条件下,发现有策略性的注意定向消耗了注意资源,无视觉工作记忆负载的情况下同样出现听觉偏差干扰,并且随着工作记忆负载增加偏差干扰效应增强。研究说明视觉工作记忆负载对听觉偏差干扰的调控是有条件性的,当来自不同感觉通道的无关刺激与目标的加工过程存在重叠时,视觉工作记忆负载的增加使得听觉偏差干扰效应增强而不是减弱。

分析了１０９例初诊的神经母细胞瘤（ＮＢ）和节神经母细胞瘤（ＧＮＢ）患儿及５９例其它肿瘤患者的^（１２３）Ｉ－间磺苄呱（ＭＩＢＧ）显像结果，^（１２３）Ｉ－ＭＩＢＧ检出神经母细胞瘤的准确率是９２％，与其它影像学方法（ＣＴ、超声、Ｘ线）以及骨髓组织细胞学检查方法相比较，^（１２３）Ｉ－ＭＩＢＧ的灵敏度对原发瘤是９０％，对骨或骨髓转移是８３％，对于尿中儿茶酚胺含量正常的患者检出病灶的灵敏度是８０％，本研究证明^（１２３）Ｉ－ＭＩＢＧ作为一种高灵敏度，高特异性的示踪剂在神经母细胞瘤的诊断及分期中起着重要的作用。
