A series of novel ladder-type poly(azomethine amide)s (PAMs) were prepared from new azomethine containing carboxylic acid monomer (TCA) with simple aromatic diamines and aromatic diamines with thiourea groups (TDAs) by means of phosphorylation polycondensation reaction. Molecular weights of the polyamides were evaluated viscometrically, and the inherent viscosities were in the range of 0.31 - 0.58 g/dl. These ladder-type polymers were not freely soluble in common organic solvents. Structure of monomers and polymers were confirmed using FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopic analysis. Removal of Cu2+ and Cd2+ from aqueous solutions by adsorption onto the polyamides was investigated. The effect of pH, initial metal ion concentrations and contact time were studied in batch experiments. The polyamides were found to be highly effective adsorbents for the removal of Cu2+ and Cd2+ metal ions from aqueous solutions. In a mixture of metal ions, the selectivity order was found to be Pb(II) > Cu(II) > Cr(IV) > Cd(II).

BACKGROUND 2D-echocardiography(2DE)has been the primary imaging modality in children with Kawasaki disease(KD)to assess coronary *** To report the presence and implications of incidental congenital coronary artery anomalies that had been misinterpreted as coronary artery abnormalities(CAAs)on *** Records of children diagnosed with KD,who underwent computed tomography coronary angiography(CTCA)at our center between 2013-2023 were *** identified 3 children with congenital coronary artery anomalies in this cohort on *** of CTCA and 2DE were compared in these 3 *** Of the 241 patients with KD who underwent CTCA,3(1.24%)had congenital coronary artery anomalies on CTCA detected *** all 3 patients,baseline 2DE had identified *** was then performed for detailed evaluation as per our unit ***(11-year-boy)amongst the 3 patients had complete KD,while the other two(3.3-year-boy;4-month-girl)had incomplete *** revealed separate origins of left anterior descending artery and left circumflex from left sinus[misinterpreted as dilated left main coronary artery(LCA)on 2DE],single coronary artery(interpreted as dilated LCA on 2DE)and dilated right coronary artery on 2DE in case of anomalous origin of LCA from the main pulmonary *** latter one was subsequently operated *** CTCA is essential for detailed assessment of coronary arteries in children with KD especially in cases where there is suspicion of congenital coronary artery *** solely on 2DE may not be sufficient in such cases,and findings from CTCA can significantly impact therapeutic decision-making.

A novel technique is proposed for the generation of ultra-wide and flat optical frequency comb(OFC)based on serially cascading three stages of electro absorption modulators(EAMs)through sinusoidal radio frequency(RF)signals by setting frequencies at f GHz,f/2 GHz and f/4 ***,the first stage acts as subcarrier generator,the second stage acts as subcarrier doubler,and the third stage acts as subcarrier *** addition,a higher number of subcarriers can easily be generated by adjusting the driving sinusoidal RF *** this paper,cascading three stages of EAMs driven by50 GHz,25 GHz and 12.5 GHz clock sources,we obtain 272 subcarriers with spacing of 2.5 GHz and power deviation within 1 d *** analysis of serially cascaded EAMs for subcarrier generation is also *** analysis and simulation of this technique are demonstrated.

Non-edible oils obtained from chosen non-conventional woody plants are considered as potential raw materials for biodiesel *** plants mostly grow in *** characteristics of these oils as raw material are very much in tune with the properties of biodiesel such as long-chain hydrocarbon,having an adequate level of unsaturation with branched *** primary methods are being followed to make biodiesel from vegetable *** are direct use through blending,microemulsion,thermal cracking(pyrolysis)and ***-edible oil would eliminate the issue of food vs *** biodiesel manufactured from oils of woody plants may partially reduce the demand for liquid-fuel energy and addresses the environmental consequences of using fossil *** from a total of 17 species of woody plants(Angiosperms)belonging to 14 families are considered in this *** habit,habitat and geographical distribution of each species are also *** physico-chemical properties of their oil,with special reference to the fatty-acid profile that ultimately decides the characteristics of the biodiesel prepared from them,are reviewed.

Objective:To isolate and characterize the bioactive secondary metabolite from Callyspongia *** ***:In vitro antibacterial screening of fungi associated with Callyspongia species,collected from south east coast of India,against selected clinical isolates of bacteria were conducted in this *** extracts showing good antimicrobial activity were subjected to further analysis to identify the active constituents sponge associated fungi(both biomass and filtrate) with five different *** compound responsible for bioactivity was characterized using Fouvier-transform infrared(FT-IR) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) instrumental analysis to identify the functional group and *** molecular characterization of the elite fungal strains were done by isolating their genomic DNA and amplify the internal transcribed spacer(ITS) region of 5.8srRNA using specific ITS primer. In this paper, a steady-state Markovian multi-server retrial queueing system with Bernoulli vacation scheduling service is studied. Using matrix-geometric approach, various interesting and important system performance measures are obtained. Further, the probability descriptors like ideal retrial and vain retrial are provided. Finally, extensive numerical illustrations are presented to indicate the quantifying nature of the approach to obtain solutions to this queueing system.

In the present study,anti-radical,anti-diabetic and antimicrobial activities of different solvent extracts of Passiflora ligularis fruits were *** the various solvents,acetone extract displayed maximum total phenolic(640.70 mg GAE/g extract),tannin(214.30 mg GAE/g extract)and flavonoid contents(387.33 mg RE/g extract).Results of antioxidant studies revealed that the acetone extract of fruits possessed an efficient 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl(DPPH•)(IC5019.13g/mL),2,2-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiozoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS•+)(9800.94mol/L trolox equi/g extract),superoxide(78.27%)and nitric oxide(79.95%)radical scavenging activities,ferric reducing antioxidant power(43.06 mmol Fe(II)/mg extract),metal chelating(134.53 mg EDTA/g extract)*** acetone extract of *** fruits also exhibited significant(P<0.005)inhibition activities onα-amylase(82.56%)andα-glucosidase(75.36%)***,the fruits of *** also demonstrated antibacterial activities against Gram(+)and Gram(−)bacteria and inhibited the fungal strains Candida albicans(14.85 mm)and Aspergillus niger(13.91 mm)in the disc diffusion *** of polyphenolics by HPLC showed the presence of ellagic acid,gallic acid,and ***,the results indicate that the fruit pulp of *** can serve as a potential antioxidative and antimicrobial agent in food and pharmaceutical industries.
