AIM：To evaluate the effect（clinically,histopathologically and immunohistochemically） and safety of a single intrapterygium injection of ***：Prospective interventional study comprised 40 eyes of 40 patients with primary fleshy pterygia who attended the Outpatient Clinic of Department of Ophthalmology,Assiut University Hospitals,Egypt from May 2015 to May *** were randomly classified into 2 groups：the first group received a single intralesional injection of bevacizumab（Avastin;Genentech,San Francisco,CA,USA）;the second group comprised patients who did not receive subconjunctival *** of pterygium and conjunctival auto graft was done in both *** excised pterygium tissues were subjected to histopathological and immunohistochemical ***：The study comprised 40 eyes of 40 patients（33 men,7 women） of age range from 31-58 *** study group included 22 *** control group included 18 eyes.A decrease in the vascularity of the pterygium was noted in all injected *** mean vessel count was higher in non-injected pterygia than that in injected pterygia and the difference was statistically significant（P=0.001）.Also,the mean vessel count in both groups was significantly higher than normal conjunctive（P=0.005 and 0.001）.A statistically significant difference in vascular endothelial growth factor（VEGF） expression between injected and non-injected cases was detected in the epithelial,stromal and endothelial cells（P=0.0001,0.016,0.014）.No serious intraoperative complications occurred in both ***：The use of single intra lesional injection of Avastin in pterygium decreased vascularity and decreased VEGF expression in injected pterygium after one *** study proved the effect of single intra lesional injection of Avastin on *** studies may enable limiting the need for surgery and improve quality of life for patients with pterygia.

Objective： Preservation of the pelvic autonomic nerves in order to lower bladder and sexual dysfunction after radical rectal cancer surgery ＆ to evaluate functional outcome, local recurrence. Methods： A prospective study was under- taken on Egyptian patients. Forty one patients participated in the study in the period from December 2002 till June 2004 where they underwent radical surgery but with preservation of the pelvic autonomic nerves this was followed by adjuvant pelvic radiotherapy. Results： Six months, 1-year and 2-year follow-up of urinary function was complete in 32 out of 41 （78%）, 30 out of 41 （73%） and 27 out of 41 patients （65%） respectively There was no statistically significant correlation between the extent of nerve preservation and the reported minor voiding dysfunction. None of the patients reported major incontinence. Six months, 1-year and 2-year follow-up of sexual function revealed that 22 out of 41 patients （53%） were sexually active. Three out of 41 patients （7.3%） developed local recurrence. 38 （92.7%） patients were free of local recurrence, regarding pa- tients who received adjuvant radiotherapy 3 out of the 34 （8.8%） patients developed local pelvic recurrence while 9 patients （26.5%） developed distant metastases （3 of them did not receive adjuvant chemotherapy）, while patients who received adju- vant chemotherapy, 2 out of 20 patients （10%） developed local recurrence while distant metastases developed in 6 patients （30%）. Conclusion： Preservation of the pelvic autonomic nerves minimizes bladder and sexual dysfunction especially in male patients after rectal cancer surgery.

BACKGROUND The caustic ingestion continues to be a major problem worldwide especially in developing countries. The long-term complications include stricture and increased life time risk of oesophageal carcinoma. Patients suffered from corrosive induced oesophageal strictures have more than a 1000-fold risk of developing carcinoma of the *** To determine the possibility of oesophageal mucosal dysplasia after prolonged dilatation in post corrosive *** This observational study was conducted at the Paediatric Endoscopy Unit in Cairo University Children's Hospital. It included children of both sexes older than 2 years of age who had an established diagnosis of post-corrosive oesophageal stricture and repeated endoscopic dilatation sessions for more than 6 mo. All patients were biopsied at the stricture site after 6 mo of endoscopic dilatation. A histopathological examination of an oesophageal mucosal biopsy was performed for the detection of chronic oesophagitis, inflammatory cellular infiltration and *** The mean age of the enrolled children was 5.9 ± 2.6 years; 90% of the patients had ingested an alkaline corrosive substance(potash). The total number of endoscopic dilatation sessions were ranging from 16 to 100 with mean number of sessionswas 37.2 ± 14.9. Histopathological examination of the specimens showed that 85%of patients had evidence of chronic oesophagitis(group A) in the form of basal cell hyperplasia, hyperkeratosis and subepithelial fibrosis. Wind power is one of the sustainable ways to generate renewable *** recent years,some countries have set renewables to meet future energy needs,with the primary goal of reducing emissions and promoting sustainable growth,primarily the use of wind and solar *** achieve the prediction of wind power generation,several deep and machine learning models are constructed in this article as base *** regression models are Deep neural network(DNN),k-nearest neighbor(KNN)regressor,long short-term memory(LSTM),averaging model,random forest(RF)regressor,bagging regressor,and gradient boosting(GB)*** addition,data cleaning and data preprocessing were performed to the *** dataset used in this study includes 4 features and 50530 *** accurately predict the wind power values,we propose in this paper a new optimization technique based on stochastic fractal search and particle swarm optimization(SFSPSO)to optimize the parameters of LSTM *** evaluation criteria were utilized to estimate the efficiency of the regression models,namely,mean absolute error(MAE),Nash Sutcliffe Efficiency(NSE),mean square error(MSE),coefficient of determination(R2),root mean squared error(RMSE).The experimental results illustrated that the proposed optimization of LSTM using SFS-PSO model achieved the best results with R2 equals 99.99%in predicting the wind power values.

Hydrolyzed polyacrylamide(HPAM)is a commonly used polymer for the chemicals,mining and refining processes of hydrocarbon but suffers from a persistent high-temperature instability *** contrast,the nanoparticle suspension remains a technical challenge because of the strong interactions of van der Waal forces within nanoparticles,which always encourage *** research sought to improve nanoparticles(NP)stability and polymer(HPAM)rheological properties to improved hydrocarbon recovery by utilizing synthesized graphene oxide(GO)nanosheets and fumed Aerosil 380 Silica oxide(SiO_(2)).The aqueous nanocomposites based on HPAM-GO and HPAM-SiO_(2) in aqueous polymeric solutions have been developed,and its viscoelastic and static behaviour is *** results imply that by adding fumed silica NP,the viscoelastic behaviour of HPAM is marginally improved,particularly in high temperatures and salinity,however,the inclusion of GO's significantly improves the viscosity and stability of the base polymer fluid at high *** Fourier data for the transformation of the infrared spectrum confirmed that the hydrogen bonding formed between HPAM carbonyl groups and silica NP surface silanol functionality and covalent interlinking of electrostatic h-bonding between HPAM and functional GO contributed to the improved stabilization and improved rheological performance that helps to recover high salinity and temperature hydrocarbons.

In this paper,we have addressed the problem of the radiation transport with the Monte Carlo N-particle(MCNP) *** is a general-purpose Monte Carlo tool designed to transport neutron,photon and electron in three dimensional *** examine the performance of MCNP5 code in the field of external radiotherapy,we performed the modeling of an electron Density phantom(EDP) irradiated by photons from 60Co *** model was used to calculate the Percent Depth Dose(PDD) at different depths in an *** field size for PDD has been examined.A 60Co photons source placed at 80 cm source to surface distance(SSD).The results of calculations were compared to TPS data obtained at National Institute of Oncology of Rabat.

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of core eccentricity on the structural behavior of concrete tall *** buildings of 55 floors with plan dimensions 48.0×48.0 m2 were *** cases of main core locations are studied:centric(A),eccentric by one sixth(B)and one third(C)of building *** three-dimensional finite element method has been used in conducting structural analysis through ETABS *** and lateral(wind and seismic)loadings are applied to all building *** has been concluded that the core location is the prime parameter governing the structural behavior of tall *** the first two cases(A,B)have acceptable and similar structural behaviors conforming to code limits,in the third case(C),the building behavior came beyond code *** author introduced remedial action by adding two secondary cores in the opposite direction of the main core(C-R)to restore the building behavior to the code *** results of this action were satisfactory.
