this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAM).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

Small for size syndrome difficult dilemma: Lessons from 10 years single centre experience in living donor liver transplantation

AIM to analyze the incidence, risk factors, prevention, treatment and outcome of small for size syndrome(SFSS) after living donor liver transplantation(LDLt). MEtHODS through-out more than 10 years: During the period from April 2003 to the end of 2013, 174 adult-to-adults LDLt(A-ALDLt) had been performed at National Liver Institute, Menoufiya University, Shibin Elkoom, Egypt. We collected the data of those patients to do this cohort study that is a single-institution retrospective analysis of a prospectively collected database analyzing the incidence, risk factors, prevention, treatment and outcome of SFSS in a period started from the end of 2013 to the end of 2015. the median period of follow-up reached 40.50 m, range(0-144 m). RESULtS SFSS was diagnosed in 20(11.5%) of our recipients. While extra-small graft [small for size graft(SFSG)], portal hypertension, steatosis and left lobe graft were significant predictors of SFSS in univariate analysis(P = 0.00, 0.04, 0.03, and 0.00 respectively); graft size was the only independent predictor of SFSS on multivariate analysis(P = 0.03). On the other hand, there was lower incidence of SFSS in patients with SFSG who underwent splenectomy [4/10(40%) SFSS vs 3/7(42.9%) no SFSS] but without statistical significance, However, there was none significant lower incidence of the syndrome in patients with right lobe(RL) graft when drainage of the right anterior and/or posterior liver sectors by middle hepatic vein, V5, V8, and/or right inferior vein was done [4/10(28.6%) SFSS vs 52/152(34.2%) no SFSS]. the 6-mo, 1-, 3-, 5-, 7-and 10-year survival in patients with SFSS were 30%, 30%, 25%, 25%, 25% and 25% respectively, while, the 6-mo, 1-, 3-, 5-, 7-and 10-year survival in patients without SFSS were 70.1%, 65.6%, 61.7%, 61%, 59.7%, and 59.7% respectively, with statistical significant difference(P = 0.00). Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common cause of cancer-related death in Saudi *** study aimed to investigate the patterns of HCC and the effect of tNM staging,Alfa-fetoprotein(AFP),and Child-turcotte Pugh(CtP)on patients’overall survival(OS).Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 43 HCC patients at a single oncology center in Saudi Arabia from 2015 to *** patients had to fulfill one of the following criteria:(a)a liver lesion reported as definitive HCC on dynamic imaging and/or(b)a biopsy-confirmed ***:the mean patient age of all HCC cases was 66.8 with a male-to-female ratio of 3.3:*** patients were stratified into two groups:viral HCC(n=22,51%)and non-viral HCC(n=21,49%).Among viral-HCC patients,55%were due to HBV and 45%due to *** was diagnosed in 79%of *** and sex did not significantly statistically differ in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients(p-value>0.05).About 65%of patients had tumor size>5 cm during the diagnosis,with a significant statistical difference in OS(p-value=0.027).AFP was>400 ng/ml in 45%of the *** was a statistically significant difference in the OS in terms of AFP levels(p-value=0.021).A statistically significant difference was also observed between the CtP score and OS(p-value=0.02).CtP class B had the longest *** was the most common treatment provided to HCC patients followed by sorafenib *** was a significant statistical difference in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients(p-value=0.008).Conclusions:the most common predictors for OS were the underlying cause of HCC,AFP,and tumor *** having non-viral etiology,a tumor size>5 cm,an AFP>400 ng/mL,and a CtP score class C were all negatively associated with OS.

Study of Luminous Emission from a Coaxial Plasma Discharge Device in the Presence of External transverse Magnetic Field

the experimental investigations in this paper are focused on the study of luminous radiation emission from coaxial plasma discharge device and the effect of applied transverse magnetic field Btr on it. the experiment was done in (1.5 KJ - 10 KV) coaxial plasma discharge device. the discharge is operated in Nitrogen gas at pressures from 1 to 2.2 torr. Helmholtz magnetic coils are placed outside the coaxial electrodes with its axis at a distance = 3 cm from the coaxial electrodes muzzle, then Btr with a maximum induction ≈ 0.85 t is applied perpendicularly to the expanded plasma from the coaxial electrodes muzzle. the diagnostics used in the measurements include a Rogowsky coil and a photomultiplier tube equipped with light collimator. the experimental results showed that the maximum intensity of luminous radiation is detected at axial distance (side view) z = 8 cm and gas pressure, P = 2.2 torr. It also showed that the maximum value of axial luminous plasma zone velocity = 2.383 × 106 cm/s at z = 11 cm and P = 1.4 torr. In mode of presence of external Btr, the investigations have shown that, at P = 1.4 torr the maximum intensity of luminous radiation (detected at end-view position) is reduced by 17%, the full width at half maximum, FWHM of luminous radiation signal is increased by 40 times, while the luminous radiation signal is delayed by ta = 438 μs. In two modes of operation ta and FWHM have approximately a minimum values at P = 1.4 torr.

Robust Malicious Executable Detection Using Host-Based Machine Learning Classifier

the continuous development of cyberattacks is threatening digital transformation endeavors worldwide and leadsto wide losses for various organizations. these dangers have proven that signature-based approaches are insufficientto prevent emerging and polymorphic attacks. therefore, this paper is proposing a Robust Malicious ExecutableDetection (RMED) using Host-based Machine Learning Classifier to discover malicious Portable Executable (PE)files in hosts using Windows operating systems through collecting PE headers and applying machine learningmechanisms to detect unknown infected files. the authors have collected a novel reliable dataset containing 116,031benign files and 179,071 malware samples from diverse sources to ensure the efficiency of RMED *** most effective PE headers that can highly differentiate between benign and malware files were selected totrain the model on 15 PE features to speed up the classification process and achieve real-time detection formalicious executables. the evaluation results showed that RMED succeeded in shrinking the classification timeto 91 milliseconds for each file while reaching an accuracy of 98.42% with a false positive rate equal to 1.58. Inconclusion, this paper contributes to the field of cybersecurity by presenting a comprehensive framework thatleverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods to proactively detect and prevent cyber-attacks.

Linearly and Quadratically Separable Classifiers Using Adaptive Approach

this paper presents a fast adaptive iterative algorithm to solve linearly separable classification problems in R *** each iteration,a subset of the sampling data （n-points,where n is the number of features） is adaptively chosen and a hyperplane is constructed such that it separates the chosen n-points at a margin and best classifies the remaining *** classification problem is formulated and the details of the algorithm are ***,the algorithm is extended to solving quadratically separable classification *** basic idea is based on mapping the physical space to another larger one where the problem becomes linearly *** illustrations show that few iteration steps are sufficient for convergence when classes are linearly *** nonlinearly separable data,given a specified maximum number of iteration steps,the algorithm returns the best hyperplane that minimizes the number of misclassified points occurring through these *** with other machine learning algorithms on practical and benchmark datasets are also presented,showing the performance of the proposed algorithm.

Plasma Current Sheath Motion in Coaxial Plasma Discharge

In this paper experiments and theoretical treatments [1] on 1.5 KJ coaxial plasma discharge device have been carried out to show, plasma current sheath, PCS, motion in coaxial plasma discharge by studying: the effect of nitrogen gas pressure in the range from 1 to 2.2 torr and the axial position of PCS along the coaxial electrodes on the modification factor, actual drive parameter, PCS curvature and shape (thickness). Also the dynamics of PCS along the coaxial electrodes due to the combination effect of induced azimuthal and axial magnetic fields induction has been detected experimentally by using a magnetic probe technique.

Coexisting tubular adenoma with a neuroendocrine carcinoma of colon allowing early surgical intervention and implicating a shared stem cell origin

High-grade colonic neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs) are uncommon but extremely aggressive. their co-existence with tubular adenoma (tA) has rarely been reported. We present a 68-year-old man who was found on routine colonoscopy to have multiple colorectal tAs and an ulcerated lesion in the ascending colon. Microscopically, a poorly-differentiated invasive carcinoma juxtaposed with a tA was identified. Differential diagnosis included a poorly-differentiated adenocarcinoma, medullary carcinoma, high-grade NEC and lymphoma. the immunohistochemical profile showed positive staining for keratins, synaptophysin and chromogranin but negative for LCA, CDX2, CK7, CK20, ttF-1 and PSA, supporting the NEC diagnosis. Upon subsequent laparoscopic right hemicolectomy, the tumor was identified as a 3.0 cm umbilicated and ulcerated mass with an adjacent tA. Both tA and NEC showed positive staining for β-catenin indicating a shared colonic origin. the mitotic counts (77/10 high power fields) and a high proliferation rate (75% by Ki-67) corroborated a high-grade stratification. Mutational analysis indicated a wild-type BRAF and KRAS with mismatch repair proficiency. the AJCC (7th edition) pathologic stage is pt3, pN0, pMx. the patient received adjuvant chemotherapy with cisplatin/etoposides for three cycles and will be followed up for a year to detect recurrence. In conclusion, the co-existence of tA with high grade-NEC in our case allowed early identification and intervention of the otherwise asymptomatic but aggressive tumor. In addition, the finding of a high-grade NEC within a large tA in this case suggests a link between the two lesions and could represent a shared stem cell origin.
