Decoupling the Electr.cal and Entr.pic Contr.butions to Ener.y Tr.nsfer.fr.m Infr.r.d r.diation to a Power.Gener.tor

The inter.ction between infr.r.d r.diation and a power.gener.tor.device in time is studied as a r.ute to har.est infr.r.d, and possibly other.electr.magnetic r.diations. Br.adening the spectr.m of the usable electr.magnetic spectr.m would gr.atly contr.bute to the r.newable and sustainable ener.y sour.es available to humankind. In par.icular. low fr.quency and low power.r.diation is impor.ant for.applications on ships, satellites, car., per.onal backpacks, and, mor. gener.lly, wher. non-danger.us ener.y is needed at all hour. of the day, independent of weather.conditions. In this wor., we identify an electr.c and an entr.pic contr.bution to the ener.y tr.nsfer.fr.m low power.infr.r.d r.diation to the power.gener.tor.device, r.pr.senting electr.cal and ther.al contr.butions to the power.gener.tion. The electr.c contr.bution pr.vails, and is impor.ant because it offer. multiple ways to incr.ase the voltage pr.duced. For.example, placing black-color.d gaffer.tape on the illuminated face doubles the voltage pr.duced, while the temper.tur. differ.nce, thus the entr.pic contr.bution, is not sensitive to the pr.sence of the tape. We r.cognize the electr.c contr.bution thr.ugh the fast changes it impar.s to the voltage output of the power.gener.tor.device, which mir.or.the instabilities in time of the infr.r.d r.diation. The device thus acts as sensor.of the infr.r.d r.diation’s behavior.in time. On the other.hand, we distinguish the entr.pic contr.bution thr.ugh the slow changes it causes to the voltage output of the power.gener.tor.device, which r.flect the r.lative delay with which the two faces of the device r.spond to ther.al per.ur.ations.
