AIm To investigate the impact of medication beliefs, illness perceptions and quality of life on medication adherence in people with decompensated *** One hundred adults with decompensated cirrhosis completed a structured questionnaire when they attended for routine outpatient hepatology review. measures of self-reported medication adherence(morisky medication Adherence Scale), beliefs surrounding medications(Beliefs about medicines Questionnaire), perceptions of illness and medicines(Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire), and quality of life(Chronic Liver Disease Questionnaire) were examined. Clinical data were obtained via patient history and review of medical records. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator and stepwise backwards regression techniques were used to construct the multivariable logistic regression model. Statistical significance was set at alpha = *** medication adherence was " high " in 42 % o f participants, "medium" in 37%, and "Low" in 21%. Compared to patients with "high" adherence, those with "medium" or "Low" adherence were more likely to report difficulty affording their medications(P ment helpfulness(P = 0.003) and stronger medication concerns relative to medication necessity beliefs(P = 0.003). People with "Low" adherence also experienced greater symptom burden and poorer quality of life, including more frequent abdominal pain(P = 0.023), shortness of breath(P = 0.030), and emotional disturbances(P = 0.050). multivariable analysis identified having stronger medication concerns relative to necessity beliefs(Necessity-Concerns Differential ≤ 5, OR = 3.66, 95%CI: 1.18-11.40) and more frequent shortness of breath(shortness of breath score ≤ 3, OR = 3.87,95%CI: 1.22-12.25) as independent predictors of "Low"*** The association between "Low" adherence and patients having strong concerns or doubting the necessity or helpfulness of their medications should be explor

Observed Enhancement in LIBS Signals from Nano vs. Bulk ZnO Targets: Comparative Study of Plasma Parameters

In this article, we will report an experimental evidence of enhanced LIBS emission upon replacing a Bulk-Based ZnO target by the corresponding Nano-Based target. The plasma was initiated via interaction of a Nd:YAG laser at the fundamental wavelength with both targets in open air under the same experimental conditions. The measurements show an enhanced emission from the Zn I-lines at the wavelengths of 328.26, 330.29, 334.55, 468.06, 472.2, 481.01, 636.38 nm. The measurements were repeated at different delay times in the range from 1 to 5 μs at constant irradiation level and fixed gate time of 1 μs. The average enhancement over the different Zn I-lines was found increases exponentially up to 8-fold with delay time. The electron density to each plasma was measured utilizing the hα-line appeared in the emitted spectra from each plasma and was found to give similar values. The electron temperatures were measured via Boltzmann plot method utilizing the relative intensities of the Zn I-lines and were found to give very close values. moreover, the relative population density of the ground state of the zinc atoms (relative concentration) was measured spectroscopically utilizing the Boltzmann plot method and was found to increase in a very similar trend to that of enhancement. The results of the spectroscopic analysis conclude that these signal enhancements can be attributed to the higher concentration of neutral atoms in the Nano-Based material plasma with respect to the corresponding Bulk-based ZnO material.

Potential of Sorgh.m.as an Alternative to Corn Forage

Climate change, which is currently characterized by increased atmospheric CO2, rising temperature, and altered pattern of precipitation, is affecting agricultural productivity. Rising temperatures and shifting precipitation patterns will alter the ability to meet crop water requirements, water availability, crop productivity, and costs of water access across the agricultural landscape. Searching for alternative crops with lower water requirements increased yield or organic matter per unit of water are important for agricultural sustainability. Sorgh.m.is one of the world’s important crops;a crop that is adapted to a variety of agronomic and environmental conditions, particularly to areas with low rainfall or limited access of irrigation water. Forage Sorgh.m.is able to produce comparable yield to corn suggesting that there is a potential for Sorgh.m.to replace corn in areas where water supply is limited. But, there is a cost since corn silage, because of its high grain content, which is typically superior in digestible energy content to Sorgh.m.forages. There is also a lack of information on the feeding value of Sorgh.m.silages in high producing dairy cows as well as strategies that may be used for sorgh.m.silage to replace a portion of the corn silage in dairy cattle diets.

Benzene degradation in waste gas by photolysis and photolysis-ozonation： experiments and modeling

The degradation of benzene, a carcinogenic air pollutant, was studied in a gas-phase photoch.m.cal reactor with an amalgam lamp emitting ultraviolet light at 185 and 254 nm. Efficient benzene degradation （〉70%） was possible for benzene mass flow rates of up to 1.5 ***1. Adding ozone allowed benzene mass flow rates of up to 5 m ***-1 tobe treated with the same efficiency. In terms of energy consumption, ozone doubles the efficiency of the process. A comprenenslve mecnanisnc simulation model was developed incorporating a ch.m.cal kinetics model （62 reactions involving 47 ch.m.cal species）, a material balance model incorporating diffusion and flow, a flow velocity model,and a light field model. The model successfully predicted the efficiency of the reactor, generally within 20%, which indicates that the model is sound, and can be used for feasibility studies. The prediction of the reactor efficiency in the presence of ozone was less successful, with systematically overestimated efficiency. Condensation of reaction products in the reactor is thought to be the mare cause of model inaccuracy. Both experimental .data and model predictions show that there is a synergistic effect between ozonation and ultraviolet degradation.

Auto Opening Door and Car Identification

Design an Automatic Door System using a unique wireless ID by using infrared ray or Bluetooth technology. That consists of a sensing unit, control unit and drive unit to open and close doors at the entrance of a car that has the unique ID. This process is controlled by using Arduino Leonard programmed with IDE free open source software, that receives the signal code from the car which sends the ID through IR LED or Bluetooth by using a mobile application, decode it. And switch ON the driver that controls the DC motor. This system was designed considering some factors such as low cost and low power requirements, availability of components and low distance so there is no interference. The hardware design and software development are described, and all of the tests indicate that all component goes according to the initial design of this research.

Environmental monitoring and evaluation (m&E) systems are indispensable tools for sustainable land management, especially in dry and fragile ecosystems. The reporting and dissemination of its products and indicators are the key roles to perform their missions. Furthermore, the overall success of such.m.ltilateral projects and networks depends on well-organized infrastructures for spatial data management. A spatial data infrastructure (SDI) is an efficient framework to centralize the management of spatial data and information related to multilateral projects for the best sharing and exchange between partners and stakeholders in order to ensure that they are interactively connected to use the data efficiently and in a flexible manner. This paper outlines the work undertaken in partnership between the Geography and GIS Department of the Faculty of Arts, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia Kingdom, the Geomatics, Earth and Land Settlement Branch of the Department of Geology, Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, Tunis El manar University, Tunisia, and the Sahara and Sahel Observatory OSS which is an intergovernmental organization, in order to build a Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) for the ROSELT/OSS program (Long-Term Environmental monitoring Observatories Network in the Circum-Sahara of the Sahara and Sahel Observatory). This SDI is entirely developed using Open Source technologies and the extensive suite of OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) standards and specifications, to enable interoperability among and between its different components.

high-spin states in the beam energies. A new and 72 γ transitions odd-odd nucleus ^128I are investigated via the ^124 Sn（^7 Li,3n）^128 I reaction at 28 and 32 me V level sch.m. of 12sI is established up to high-spin states at I^π = 16, including 48 levels The present level sch.m. is largely different from the one in a recent publication due to identification of several doublet and triplet γ transitions and their proper placements in the level sch.m.. The high-spin level structure exhibits no obvious collective properties and is possibly associated with two and multi-quasiparticle configurations.
