Unsteady MHD flow and heat transfer near stagnation point over a stretching/shrinking sheet in porous medium filled with a nanofluid

In this article, the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic （MHD） stagnation point flow and heat transfer of a nanofluid over a stretching/shrinking sheet is investigated numerically. The similarity solution is used to reduce the governing system of partial differential equations to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations which are then solved numerically using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method with shooting technique. The ambient fluid velocity, stretching/shrinking velocity of sheet, and the wall temperature are assumed to vary linearly with the distance from the stagnation point. To investigate the influence of various pertinent parameters, graphical results for the local Nusselt number, the skin friction coefficient, velocity profile, and temperature profile are presented for different values of the governing parameters for three types of nanoparticles, namely copper, alumina, and titania in the water-based fluid. It is found that the dual solution exists for the decelerating flow. Numerical results show that the extent of the dual solution domain increases with the increases of velocity ratio, magnetic parameter, and permeability parameter whereas it remains constant as the value of solid volume fraction of nanoparticles changes. Also, it is found that permeability parameter has a greater effect on the flow and heat transfer of a nanofluid than the magnetic parameter.

Value-Based Test Case Prioritization for Regression Testing Using Genetic Algorithms

Test Case Prioritization(TCP)techniques perform better than other regression test optimization techniques including Test Suite Reduction(TSR)and Test Case Selection(TCS).Many TCP techniques are available,and their performance is usually measured through a metric Average Percentage of Fault Detection(APFD).This metric is value-neutral because it only works well when all test cases have the same cost,and all faults have the same *** APFD for performance evaluation of test case orders where test cases cost or faults severity varies is prone to produce false ***,using the right metric for performance evaluation of TCP techniques is very important to get reliable and correct *** this paper,two value-based TCP techniques have been introduced using Genetic Algorithm(GA)including Value-Cognizant Fault Detection-Based TCP(VCFDB-TCP)and Value-Cognizant Requirements Coverage-Based TCP(VCRCB-TCP).Two novel value-based performance evaluation metrics are also introduced for value-based TCP including Average Percentage of Fault Detection per value(APFDv)and Average Percentage of Requirements Coverage per value(APRCv).Two case studies are performed to validate proposed techniques and performance evaluation *** proposed GA-based techniques outperformed the existing state-of-the-art TCP techniques including Original Order(OO),Reverse Order(REV-O),Random Order(RO),and Greedy algorithm.

Today,many hybrid multilevel converters with flying capacitors are being *** the practicality of these converters in reducing the switching devices count and the cost,it is challenging to balance their capacitor voltage *** unbalanced capacitors restrain the converters’performance and lead to failure in delivering the required *** paper proposes a model predictive control(MPC)for a seven-level converter based on an active neutral point clamped converter cascaded with an H-bridge.A conventional MPC uses a single cost function with two terms,one for current tracking and the other for capacitor balancing,which needs an accurate weighting factor to balance *** this work,the suggested MPC adopts a satisfactory optimization *** evaluates the capacitor charge membership to a nominal voltage range to define the degree of freedom in which to optimize the current tracking *** transforms the relationship between the two cost terms into a more collaborative *** proposed MPC improves the output current quality and balances the capacitor charge with the least number of *** and simulation results have validated the controller^effectiveness.

Delayed Coronary Ostial Stenosis after Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement and Root Enlargement Treated with Beating Heart On-Pump CABG

Coronary ostial stenosis after surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) is a rare but potentially fatal complication. Surgeons must have a high level of vigilance regarding the presentation of acute myocardial ischemia, arrhythmia, and heart failure after AVR. According to most reports, this event can be time-dependent divided into two groups;early acute phase that mostly happens intraoperative during weaning of CPB or in early ICU stay, and late presentation usually appears 1 - 6 months post surgery. Here, we describe an unusual subacute presentation of right coronary ostial stenosis 12 days after SAVR, which was treated successfully with redo beating heart coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).

Prevalence and factors associated with irritable bowel syndrome among university students in Lebanon:Findings from a cross-sectional study

AIM: To describe the bowel habits and the prevalence of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) and to investigate the influence of health behavior and social factors on IBS prevalence in university students. METHODS: This cross-sectional study was conducted at five major universities in Greater Beirut and its suburbs, between February and June 2014. Using a convenience sample, a total of 813 students aged 18 years old and above participated in this study. Participants were asked to complete a comprehensive anonymous questionnaire which detailed characteristics on socio-demographic, health-related, and lifestyle factors, as well as IBS. The ROME Ⅲ criteria were used as a tool to ascertain IBS. A χ2 test was used to determine differences between categorical variables; stepwise logistic regression was used to measure the association between IBS and its risk ***: An overall prevalence of IBS of 20% was recorded among university students. The bivariate analysis showed that females were significantly more likely to report having IBS than males(29.1% vs 18.2%, P 2000) were almost 6 times more likely to report havingIBS than their ***: This is the first study to describe the nature of IBS among young adults in Lebanon. The prevalence of IBS among university students in our sample was higher than that reported in the West.

光照是光合作用的重要因子、对番茄的生长、发育和代谢产物的积累至关重要。代谢物积累量在很大程度上取决于光强度。因此、研究光照强度对果实品质的影响非常重要。本课题研究的目的是通过叶片遮光、果实遮光和叶片果实同时遮光的三种方式分析在未成熟绿果、成熟绿果、破色期和红熟期果实中抗坏血酸(AsA)含量及其生物合成基因表达的影响。叶片遮光处理(降低光强度72%)会显着影响果实中的AsA含量和AsA生物合成基因表达。在成熟的绿熟期、破色和红熟期果实中、叶片遮荫分别使总AsA含量降低18.5%、22.4%和26%。相对于对照(不遮荫)、绿熟果还原型AsA降低了22.2%、破色期果实还原型AsA减少了24.7%、红熟期果实还原型AsA减少了25.2%。同样、我们观察到在在遮荫番茄果实的MG、BR和RR阶段、总AsA均显著降低、还原型AsA也有降低。果实遮荫导致MG、BR和RR阶段的总AsA含量分别降低了25.8%、28.9%和30.6%、而在IMG阶段、总AsA含量降低3.2%(差异不显著)。此外、与对照相比、遮荫果实的还原型AsA分别在IMG降低3.5%(差异不显著)、在MG降低23.9%、在BR降低26.9%、在RR降低28.2%。在叶片和果实同时遮光的番茄中、与叶片和果实分别遮荫类似MG、BR和RR阶段总AsA含量分别显着下降了26.1%、29.4%和31.5%、在、MG、BR和RR果实的还原型AsA含量分别降低25.9%、27.7%和28.4%。此外、降低番茄叶片的光强度导致果实中AsA生物合成基因的表达降低、其中PMM、cAPX、tAPX和APX7在弱光下表达无显着变化。在遮荫果实中、除GPI、PMI、PMM、GP1、GP2、cAPX和tAPX基因外、大多数基因表达下降。但是、在叶片果实同时遮光处理的果实中、大多数基因的表达量降低、只有PMM、cAPX、APX1和APX7的表达差异不显著。值得注意的是、GPM、GP1和Gal DH的表达水平在叶片遮荫的果实RR阶段显示上调表达、在叶片、果实同时遮荫的IMG和RR阶段也显示上调表达。在低光强度下、在叶片遮荫、果实遮荫和叶片果实同时遮荫中AsA生物合成基因的表达与AsA积累之间呈正相关、而在未遮荫果实中呈负相关。
