Archaeological research at the Sungai Batu Archaeological Complex(SBAC),which has been carried out until 2023,aims to complete the chronological data and urbanization process of the ancient *** study will especially prove that the ongoing urbanization process is aimed at developing the iron smelting industry and trade in ancient Kedah,especially in *** is because archaeological research at SBAC has proven that with the existence of the ancient Kedah iron smelting workshop at SBAC,river jetties,port management,rituals,and Buddhist monuments began to be erected,all of which can be determined by chronometric *** results of the chronometric dating have proven that the ancient Kedah Kingdom existed since the 6th century BC and was oriented towards the trade of iron resources,which allowed the use of the area to grow *** process of urbanization and land use clearly conforms to Lynch’s principle,which emphasizes the principles of 1)paths,2)edges,3)districts,4)nodes,and 5)landmarks in the development process of land use and urbanization in the complex.

Effect of Dietary Components on the Shear Bond Strength of Orthodontics Brackets after Thermal Aging

Introduction: The stability of orthodontic brackets throughout orthodontic treatment plays a critical role in the treatment’s effectiveness. The present in vitro study was designed to assess the impact of various dietary components on the performance of orthodontic brackets. Methods: Metal orthodontic brackets were bonded to 66 extracted anterior teeth divided into groups based on the solution type: Milk, Gatorade, Cold Coffee, and a control group using water. Each group consisted of 20 teeth except for the control group, which included six teeth. The bracketed teeth were submerged in their respective solutions for 15 minutes three times daily at different intervals to mimic an in vivo environment and were stored in artificial saliva at room temperature (23?C). The specimens underwent artificial aging through 10,000 cycles of thermocycling (representing one clinical year) between 5?C and 55?C. Shade measurements were taken using a VITA Easy Shade device, capturing the classic shade and L*, a*, and b* values. Delta E values were calculated immediately post-bonding and after 7 days, 1 month, 1, and 2 clinical years. The shear bond strength of each bracket was measured using an ultra-tester machine. Results: After two clinical years, significant differences in ΔE color values were observed across all groups, with the most substantial change noted in teeth immersed in cold coffee. Brackets submerged in milk demonstrated lower shear bond strength than other solutions, whereas the control group exhibited the highest shear bond strength (P = 0.01). Conclusion: The study indicates that dietary components significantly influence tooth color stability and the shear bond strength of orthodontic brackets, underscoring the importance of considering these factors in orthodontic treatment planning.

The influence of the fourth-order dispersion coefficient on the behavior of parametric gain and saturation power of a one-pump fiber optical parametric amplifier over a signal wavelength span in the presence of fiber random dispersion fluctuations was investigated. The output signal power for the parametric gain calculation was obtained by numerically solving the three-coupled amplitude equations. Based on the calculations of the parametric gain over a variation of the signal wavelength, it is found that the saturation power behavior is dependent on the behavior of parametric gain. The manipulations of signal wavelength and the fourth-order dispersion coefficient changed the phase-matching condition, thereby affecting the resulting parametric gain and saturation power.

Ce3＋-Yb3＋ doped Y3Al5O12 （YAG） is a luminescent down-conversion material which could convert visible pho- tons to near infrared photons. In this work, YAG：Ce3＋-Yb3＋ is applied on the front surface of mass-produced mono crystalline Si solar cells. For the coated cells, the external quantum efficiencv from the visible to the near infrared is improved, and the energy conversion efficiency enhances from 11.70% to 12.2% under ***. Furthermore, the phosphor down-conversion effect on the solar cell is characterized by the microwave detected photoconductivity technique on the n-type silicon wafer under the 977nm excitation. The down-conversion materials improve the average excess carrier lifetime from 22.5μs to 24.2#s and the average surface recombi- nation velocity reduces from ***/s to 371.6cm/s, which reveal the significant reduction in excess carrier recombination by the phosphors.

nonlinear optical characterization of phosphate glasses based on ZnO using the Z-scan technique

The nonlinear optical properties of a phosphate vitreous system [（ZnO）x-（MgO）30-x-（P2O5）70], where x=8, 10, 15, 18, and 20 mol% synthesized through the melt-quenching technique have been investigated by using the Z-scan technique. In the experiment, a continuous-wave laser with a wavelength of 405 nm was utilized to determine the sign and value of the nonlinear refractive （nLR） index and the absorption coefficient with closed and opened apertures of the Z-scan setup. The nLR index was found to increase with the ZnO concentration in the glass samples by an order of 10-10 cm2·W-1. The real and imaginary parts of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility were calculated by referring to the nLR index （n2） and absorption coefficient （β） of the samples. The value of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility was presented by nonlinear refractive or absorptive behavior of phosphate glasses for proper utilization in nonlinear optical devices. Based on the measurement, the positive sign of the nLR index shows a self-focusing phenomenon. The figures of merit for each sample were calculated to judge the potential of phosphate glasses for application in optical switching.

Security is one of the major challenges that devices connected to the Internet of Things(IoT)face *** attestation is used to measure these devices’trustworthiness on the network by measuring the device platform’s *** software-based attestation mechanisms have been proposed,but none of them can detect runtime *** some researchers have attempted to tackle these attacks,the proposed techniques require additional secured hardware parts to be integrated with the attested devices to achieve their *** solutions are expensive and not suitable in many *** paper proposes a dual attestation process,SAPEM,with two phases:static and *** static attestation phase examines the program memory of the attested *** dynamic program ow attestation examines the execution correctness of the application *** can detect code injection and runtime attacks that hijack the control-ow,including data attacks that affect the program *** main aim is to minimize attestation overhead while maintaining our ability to detect the specied *** validated SAPEM by implementing it on Raspberry Pi using its TrustZone *** attested it against the specied attacks and compared its performance with the related work in the *** results show that SAPEM signicantly minimizes performance overhead while reliably detecting runtime attacks at the binary level.

The influence of thermo-mechanical processing (TMP) on the microstructure and the electrochemical behavior of new metastableβ alloy Ti?20.6nb?13.6Zr?0.5V (TnZV) was investigated. The TMP included hot working in belowβ transus, solution heat treatments at the same temperature and different cooling rates in addition to aging. Depending upon the TMP conditions, a wide range of microstructures with varying spatial distributions and morphologies of equiaxed/elongatedα andβ phases were attained, allowing for a wide range of electrochemical properties to be achieved. The corrosion behavior of the studied alloy was evaluated in a Ringer’s solution at 37 °C via open circuit potential?time and potentiodynamic polarization measurements.

The present research investigated a novel route for the synthesis of nanoparticle zero-valent iron(nZVI)utilizing an aqueous extract of green tea waste as a reductant with ferric ***,the supported nanoparticle zerovalent iron was synthesized using natural silty clay as a support material(SC-nZVI).The nZVI and SC-nZVI were characterized by infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),scanning electron microscope(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET),and zeta potential(ζ).The interpretation of the results demonstrated that the polyphenol and other antioxidants in green tea waste can be used as reduction and capping agents in nZVI synthesis,with silty clay an adequate ***,the experiments were carried out to explore phenol adsorption by nZVI and *** determine the optimum conditions,the impact of diverse experimental factors(i.e.,initial pH,adsorbent dose,temperature,and concentration of phenol)was ***,Freundlich,and Tempkin isotherms were used as representatives of adsorption *** obtained results indicated that the adsorption processes for both nZVI and SC-nZVI well fitted by the Freundlich isotherm *** appropriateness of pseudofirstorder and pseudosecondorder kinetics was *** experimental kinetics data were good explained by the second-order *** thermodynamic parameters(ΔH0,ΔS0,andΔG0)for nZVI and SC-nZVI were *** maximum removal rates of phenol at optimum conditions,when adsorbed onto nZVI and SC-nZVI,were found to be 94.8%and 90.1%,respectively.
