Electroencephalogram(EEG)is a medical imaging technology that can measure the electrical activity of the scalp produced by the brain,measured and recorded chronologically the surface of the scalp from the *** recorded signals from the brain are rich with useful *** inference of this useful information is a challenging *** paper aims to process the EEG signals for the recognition of human emotions specifically happiness,anger,fear,sadness,and surprise in response to audiovisual *** EEG signals are recorded by placing neurosky mindwave headset on the subject’s scalp,in response to audiovisual stimuli for the mentioned *** a bandpass filter with a bandwidth of 1-100 Hz,recorded raw EEG signals are *** preprocessed signals then further analyzed and twelve selected features in different domains are *** Random forest(RF)and multilayer perceptron(MLP)algorithms are then used for the classification of the emotions through extracted *** proposed audiovisual stimuli based EEG emotion classification system shows an average classification accuracy of 80%and 88%usingMLP and RF classifiers respectively on hybrid features for experimental signals of different *** proposed model outperforms in terms of cost and accuracy.

Long-term effects of Nigella sativa L. oil on some physiological parameters in normal and streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats

The long-term effects of Nigella sativa L. oil on some physiological parameters were investigated in normal and streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic male Wistar rats. STZ-induced diabetic rats showed significant increases in the levels of blood glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, low density lipoprotein (LDL-cholesterol), uric acid, urea, creatinine, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) while high density lipoprotein (HDL-cholesterol) and total protein levels were significantly decreased compared to normal rats. Administration of black seed oil to diabetic rats resulted in a significant decrease in blood glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, LDL–cholesterol ALT, AST and uric acid while HDL–cholesterol level was markedly increased compared to untreated diabetic rats after seven weeks of treatment. The results of this study indicate that the diet containing the oil of N. sativa improves the examined physiological parameters in STZ-induced diabetic rats especially when it is used for a longer period.

In recent years,there are numerous studies on chaotic systems with special equilibrium curves having various shapes such as circle,butterfly,heart and *** paper describes a new 3-D chaotic dynamical system with a capsule-shaped equilibrium *** proposed chaotic system has two quadratic,two cubic and two quartic nonlinear *** is noted that the proposed chaotic system has a hidden attractor since it has an infinite number of equilibrium *** is also established that the proposed chaotic system exhibits multi-stability with two coexisting chaotic attractors for the same parameter values but differential initial states.A detailed bifurcation analysis with respect to variations in the system parameters is portrayed for the new chaotic system with capsule equilibrium *** have shown MATLAB plots to illustrate the capsule equilibrium curve,phase orbits of the new chaotic system,bifurcation diagrams and *** an engineering application,we have proposed a speech cryptosystem with a numerical algorithm,which is based on our novel 3-D chaotic system with a capsule-shaped equilibrium *** proposed speech cryptosystem follows its security evolution and implementation on Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA)*** results show that the proposed encryption system utilizes 33%of the FPGA,while the maximum clock frequency is 178.28 MHz.

Spatial Assessment of Water Quantity Stress in Sultanate of Oman Provinces: A GIS Based Analysis of Water Resources Variability

Water quantity planning and management require understanding of spatial variations of water catchment availability. Several environmental indicators are associated with water quantity such as flood occurrence, drought severity, seasonal supply and groundwater stress. Analyzing water stress at national geographic scale is crucial to detect and explore geographic shortage of water resources at national scale. In this study, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) techniques were employed to analyze the spatial variations of water scarcity across Sultanate of Oman provinces. For this main objective, various spatial and attribute datasets were prepared. Many variables were selected based on their importance and correlation with water quantity. GIS overlay function then was used to produce maps for each water indicator. This was followed by employing raster zonal statistics to aggregate the values of each catchment area within each province. The findings of this analysis indicated that significant spatial variation was found among Omani provinces in terms of water quantity stress and its determinants. The most important factors affecting the water quantity stress were drought severity and flood occurrence. Furthermore, physical risk of water quantity was higher in Mascut and Dhofar provinces while it was moderate in Al-Batinah, A’Dakhiliyah and Al-Wusta. Lower risk of water quantity was observed in A’Sharqiyah, Masandam, and A’Dhahriah provinces. Thus, in order to mitigate the impacts of water scarcity on agriculture, cultivation and domestic usages, policy makers in water sector should include spatial strategies for water resource maintain and allocation.

Machinability of Polymeric Composites and Future Reinforcements—A Review

This paper reviews the machinability and mechanical properties of natural fiber-reinforced composites. Coupling agents, operating parameters, as well as chemical treatment effects on natural fiber-reinforced composites’ machinability are also reviewed. Moreover, the impacts of fibers’ physical properties on the machinability of the composite are mentioned. Fiber volume fraction (Vf), fiber orientation as well as chemical treatment effects on mechanical properties are also defined. Conclusively, the effect of fibers’ physical properties as well as mechanical properties is described. It was discovered that chemical treatment of natural fibers improved their compatibility with the matrix by removing their surface tissues, increasing the roughness average (Ra), and reducing moisture absorption. Also, the Orientation of the fiber plays an important role in controlling the mechanical properties of the composite. Moreover, some physical properties of the fibers, including quality of fiber distributed in the matrix;fiber size, length, and diameter;moisture absorption;porosity and the way fibers break during compounding with the matrix, were found to affect the mechanical properties of the composites formed.

Facial trauma caused by animals is a well known aetiology for maxillofacial injuries. Our case is an injury to the midface and upper face, caused by an unusual animal in the world of maxillofacial trauma, in circumstances not very commonly seen, and certainly only exists in few parts of the world. This assault results in a fracture in one of the stronger corners of the orbital cavity rather than the commonly seen floor fractures which is partly likely to break first with blunt external trauma.

A Review of the Surgical Procedures for the Treatment of Drug-Resistant Epilepsy and Their Seizure Control Outcomes

Background: Drug-resistant epilepsy can be defined as the existence of seizures within 6 months, despite adequate therapy regimens with one or more antiepileptic drugs. Epilepsy surgery has been the standard therapy to help those patients who suffer from drug-resistant epilepsy. The goal of this surgery is to halt or reduce the intensity of seizures. This literature review aims to provide an overview of existing surgical procedures for the treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy and the degree of seizure control they provide based on available literature. Methods: Data were collected from medical journal databases, aggregators, and individual publications. The most used databases were PubMed, Medline and NCBI. Some of the keywords used to search these databases include: “drug resistant epilepsy”, “seizure control”, and “neurosurgery”. Results: Epileptic surgery is divided into resective and non-resective procedures. Studies have shown that a full resection of the epileptogenic brain area increases the probability of seizure eradication, however, the risks of postoperative impairments grow as the resection area is extended. On the other hand, patients who are unsuitable for seizure focus removal by resective surgery, such as those with multifocal seizures or overlapping epileptogenic zone with a functional cortex, may benefit from non-resective surgical options such as Vagus Nerve Stimulation and Responsive Neurostimulation. Conclusion: This literature review discusses the comprehensive treatment of epilepsy, especially the surgical treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy. The reviewed studies have shown that epilepsy surgery has promising outcomes in achieving seizure freedom/reducing seizure frequency with minimal adverse effects when performed correctly with the appropriate choice of surgical candidates.

Phishing attacks are security attacks that do not affect only individuals’or organizations’websites but may affect Internet of Things(IoT)devices and *** environment is an exposed environment for such *** may use thingbots software for the dispersal of hidden junk emails that are not noticed by *** and deep learning and other methods were used to design detection methods for these ***,there is still a need to enhance detection *** of an ensemble classiﬁcation method for phishing website(PW)detection is proposed in this study.A Genetic Algo-rithm(GA)was used for the proposed method optimization by tuning several ensemble Machine Learning(ML)methods parameters,including Random Forest(RF),AdaBoost(AB),XGBoost(XGB),Bagging(BA),GradientBoost(GB),and LightGBM(LGBM).These were accomplished by ranking the optimized classi-ﬁers to pick out the best classiﬁers as a base for the proposed method.A PW data-set that is made up of 4898 PWs and 6157 legitimate websites(LWs)was used for this study's *** a result,detection accuracy was enhanced and reached 97.16 percent.

生育酚通常被称为维生素E，是脂溶性的生物活性化合物，除了在人体中的营养作用外已被作为抗氧化剂广泛使用。总生育酚具有调节人体正常生理其生理生化功能的作用，因此在人类营养学领域具有非常重要的地位。生育酚可以作为哺乳动物组织和血浆中的抗氧化剂，抑制致癌化合物形成的，尽量减少严重的疾病的的发生，如心血管疾病，炎症，神经系统疾病，白内障和年龄相关性黄斑变性，并维护免疫系统的作用。本研究考察化学精炼处理的葵花籽油中总生育酚及其属性，例如总脂肪酸的组成(TFA)，游离脂肪酸(FFA)，氧化稳定指数(OSI)，油的颜色(LCY)(LCR)。结果表明，在葵花籽油化学精炼过程中，品质属性均下降，其中脱臭对其品质属性有显着的影响。本研究考察对比短程分子蒸馏(SPD)和传统脱臭(DCM)工艺，对形成的反式脂肪酸(TFA)和其他指标，例如游离脂肪酸(FFA)，油稳定性指数(OSI)，总生育酚;(VE)，颜色(LCY)和(LCR)进行了分析。结果表明，通过提高脱臭温度范围(18040C)，这些指标均有下降。然而，最高温度(240C)下，没有形成反式脂肪酸(TFA)，但在此温度下损失的游离脂肪酸(FFA)为96％，氧化稳定指数(OSI)为27.5％，总生育酚为78％，颜色(LCY)和(LCR)分别为88％和95％。虽然上述这些品质属性的在传统脱臭(DCM)的温度范围内(18040)游离脂肪酸(FFA)下降94％，氧化稳定指数(OSI)下降9.4％，维生素E(VE)下降了29.3％，颜色(LCR)和(LCY)分别为90％和96％。然而，有0.58％的反式脂肪酸(TFA)形成。针对脱臭对葵花籽油品质属性的影响，本研究采用响应曲面法对葵花籽油脱臭的工艺参数进行优化。工艺参数(温度，时间)均对游离脂肪酸(FFA)，颜色(LCY和LCR)，油稳定性指数(OSI)和总生育酚(维生素E)的有影响。通过优化确定的工艺参数为：恒定3毫米汞柱真空，温度范围200-250C，脱臭时间30-90分钟，其中当温度218-224C，脱臭59-64分钟是最佳参数范围。
