Aims and Methods The relationship between genetic diversity and species diversity and the underlying mechanisms are of both fundamental and applied *** used amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP)and vegetation records to investigate the association between genetic diversity of Plantago lanceolata and plant species diversity using 15 grassland communities in central *** used correlation and partial correlation analyses to examine whether relationships between genetic and species diversity were direct or mediated by environmental differences between *** Findings Both within-and between-population genetic diversity of *** were significantly positively correlated with plant species diversity within and between *** and partial correlations revealed that the positive correlations indirectly resulted from the effects of abiotic habitat characteristics on plant species diversity and,via abundance,on genetic diversity of ***,they did not reflect a direct causal relationship between plant species diversity and genetic diversity of ***,as would have been expected based on the hypothesis of a positive relationship between plant species diversity and niche diversity.

The resistance between any two lattice points in an infinite, centered-triangular lattice of equal resistors is determined using the lattice Green function method. It is shown that the two-point resistance on the centered-triangular lattice is expressed in terms of the resistance of a triangular lattice. Some exact values for the resistance near the origin of the lattice are presented. For large separation between lattice points the asymptotic forms of the resistance are calculated.

The Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs)are characterized by their widespread deployment due to low cost,but the WSNs are vulnerable to various types of *** defend against the attacks,an effective security solution is ***,the limits of these networks’battery-based energy to the sensor are the most critical impediments to selecting cryptogra.h.c ***,finding a suitable algorithm that a.h.eves the least energy consumption in data encryption and decryption and providing a.h.ghly protected system for data remains the fundamental *** this research,the main objective is to obtain data security during transmission by proposing a robust and low-power encryption algorithm,in addition,to examining security algorithms such as ECC and MD5 based on previous *** this research,the Energy Saving and Securing Data algorithm(ESSD)algorithm is introduced,which provides the Message Digest 5(MD5)computation simplicity by modifying the Elliptic Curve Cryptogra.h.(ECC)under the primary condition of power *** three algorithms,ECC,MD5,and ESSD,are applied to Low Energy Adaptive Clustering hierarchy(LEa.h.and Threshold-sensitive Energy Efficient Sensor Network Protocol(TEEN)hierarchical routing algorithms which are considered the most widely used in *** results of security methods under the LEa.h.protocol show that all nodes are dead at 456,496,and 496,respectively,to ECC,MD5,and *** results of security methods under the TEEN protocol show that the test ends at 3743,4815,and 4889,respectively,to ECC,MD5,and *** on these results,the ESSD outperforms better in terms of increased security and less power *** addition,it is advantageous when applied to TEEN protocol.

UV Sensing Properties of Single 2D ZnO Nanostructure

The performance of nanostructured devices depend significantly on the morphology and structure of the used nanostructures. We report the hydrothermal synthesis of high quality 2D ZnO nanostructures and the fabrication of ultraviolet (UV) sensors based on single 2D ZnO nanostructures. The grown nanostructures are characterized using SEM, STEM, SAED, and XRD. The single 2D ZnO nanostructure UV sensor demonstrates high photosensitivity of 980 and speed of response and recovery of 19 and 25 s, respectively. The high performance is attributed to the high quality of the ZnO 2D crystals and its high surface to volume ratio.

Forming ultra.h.llow junction reduces the source / drain channel length, which improves the CMOS (Complementary metal oxide semiconductor) device performance and the speed of the integrated circuits. Antimony (Sb) of low implant energy 2 keV at implant dose 1 × 1015 cm-2 is implanted in conventional silicon wafer (100). Rapid RTA (Thermal annealing technique) is suitable for the as- implanted samples to recover the radiation damaged region and to activate the implanted antimony. This paper investigates the electrical activation of the implanted antimony by estimating its substitutional fraction in the formed ultra junction in silicon wafer by the possibilities of combining the measurements of RBS (Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy) and MEIS (Medium energy ion scattering). It was found that RTA (Rapid thermal annealing) of the as-implanted samples at temperatures ≤ 800 °C, the substitutional antimony fraction and the retained dose also are about 90% of the nominal dose. however, annealing at temperatures > 800 °C up to 1,100 °C antimony precipitate near to the surface and deactivate the electrical conduction by about 50% with increasing the sheet resistance by about 30%.

Model atmospheres of the close visual binary star Cou 1511 （hIP 12552） are constructed using grids of Kuruz＇s blanketed models to build the individual synthetic spectral energy distributions （SEDs） for both components. These synthetic SEDs are combined together for the entire system and compared with the observational one following A1-Wardat＇s complex method for analyzing close visual binary stars. The entire observational SED of the system is used as a reference for comparison between the synthetic SED and the observed one. The parameters of both components are derived as： Teff = 6180 4- 50 K, Tebfr = 5865 ＋ 70 K, log 9a = 4.35 ± 0.12, log 9b = 4.45± 0.14, Ra = 1.262 ± 0.08 R⊙^eff, Rb = 1.006 ± 0.07 R⊙^ett, La = 2.09 -4- 0.10 L⊙ and Lb = 1.08 ± 0.12 L⊙, with spectral types F8V and G1.5V for components （a, b） respectively and age of 3.0 ± 0.9 Gyr. A modified orbit of the system is built and the masses of the two components are calculated as Ma = 1.17 ±0.11 Me and Mb = 1.06 ± 0.10 Me.

This study was undertaken to assess the physical, chemical and hydrochemical quality of spring water in the southwestern basin of Jordan during a 60-month follow up monitoring study (April 2009 to April 2014). The samples were analyzed for temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, ph, major cations, major anions and trace metals. The results show that there were considerable variations among the analyzed samples with respect to their physical and chemical parameters, which lie below the maximum permissible levels of the Jordanian and World health Organization (WhO) drinking water standards. This study shows that the trace metals of spring water in the study area do not generally pose any health or environmental issues. The assessment of water samples indicates that groundwater, in general, is chemically suitable for drinking and agricultural uses.
