BACKGROUND Malignant transformation(MT)of mature cystic teratoma(MCT)has a poor prognosis,especially in advanced *** chemoradiotherapy(CCRT)has an inhibitory effect on *** SUMMARY Herein,we present a case in which CCRT had a reduction effect preoperatively.A 73-year-old woman with pyelonephritis was referred to our *** tomography revealed right hydronephrosis and a 6-cm pelvic *** ultrasound-guided fine-needle biopsy(EUS-FNB)revealed squamous cell *** patient was diagnosed with MT of *** to her poor general con-dition and renal malfunction,we selected CCRT,expecting fewer adverse *** CCRT,her performance status improved,and the tumor size was reduced;surgery was *** months postoperatively,the patient developed dis-semination and lymph node *** chemotherapy was *** died 18 months after treatment *** EUS-FNB was useful in the diagnosis of MT of MCT;CCRT suppressed the disea-se and improved quality of life.

The scope and aim of this work is to describe the two-body interaction mediated by a particle （either the scalar or the gauge boson） within the light-front formulation. To do this, first of all we point out the importance of propagators and Green functions in Quantum Mechanics. Then we project the covariant quantum propagator onto the light front time to get the propagator for scalar particles in these coordinates. This operator propagates the wave function from x＋ = 0 to x＋〉 0. It corresponds to the definition of the time ordering operation in the light front time x＋. We calculate the light-front Green＇s function for 2 interacting bosons propagating forward in x＋. We also show how to write down the light front Green＇s function from the Feynman propagator and finally make a generalization to N bosons.

This research investigates innovative fin-type radiators for automobile engine cooling ***-channel and helical radiators,along with straight type,were analyzed for heat transfer characteristics under various *** uniqueness of this study is evident in the design of microchannel and helical *** helical radiators,the inner rod features 4/8 helical-shaped water galleries,while the outer tube frame with embedded fins remains *** contrast,the microchannel radiators have compact trapezoidal-shaped water galleries with separate fin ***,the novelty of the research is enhanced by the utilization of 3D printing technology in the manufacturing *** constant fin height analysis at varied water and air flow rate,Microchannel Water Air Radiator with fin height 10.5 mm(MCWAR10.5)depicted a higher heat transfer rate amongst the *** comparison to Straight Water Air Radiator with fin height 9.5 mm(SWAR9.5),the heat transfer rate is 30.3%and 1.3 times ***,in constant fin surface area analysis,microchannel radiator(MCWAR3.2)illustrates lower heat dissipation than Helical radiator(HWAR138)but higher than HWAR134 and Straight radiator(SWAR6).The examination of pumping loss indicated that the Micro-channel radiator outperformed helical radiators due to its lower pressure *** average pressure loss for Micro-channel radiators was 0.74 kPa,making it 1.2 times higher than that of a straight radiator(0.62 kPa),indicating a better trade-off.

Aquifer thermal energy storage is a versatile method for regulating building temperatures,utilizing groundwater as a medium for both summer cooling and winter *** has high thermal conductivity and specific heat but is corrosive,creating a mineral build-up that causes ***,its high freezing point presents operational *** oils emerge as a promising alternative,owing to their lower freezing *** light of environmental concerns,researchers are exploring vegetable oils as substitutes for petroleum-derived mineral *** paper is intended as an initial study using vegetable oils,*** and sunflower oil,as the heat-transfer medium in aquifer thermal energy *** experiments assess the heat-transfer coefficient of coconut,sunflower,mineral,and synthetic oils when exposed to the same heat *** study also evaluates the impact of introducing micro-carbon(graphite and charcoal)to the *** indicate that sunflower oil has the highest heat-transfer coefficient of 374.4 W/m^(2) K among the oils,making it suitable for aquifer thermal energy storage ***,augmenting sunflower oil with charcoal powder enhances its performance by increasing the heat-transfer coefficient to 474.9 W/m^(2) K,or a 27%*** contrast,coconut oil proves unsuitable for aquifer thermal energy storage deployment because of its low heat-transfer coefficient of 293.7 W/m^(2) *** heat-transfer coefficient of synthetic oil increases with graphite powder but decreases with charcoal powder introduction.

Aluminum foils having thicknesses of 10-20 μm are commonly employed as current collectors for cathode electrodes in Li-ion batteries. The effects of the surface morphology of the foil on battery performance were investigated by using a foil with roughened surface by chemical etching and a plain foil with smooth surface on both sides. For high-conductivity LiCoO2 active materials with large particle size, there are no significant differences in battery performance between the two types of foils. But for low-conductivity LiFePO4 active materials with small particle size, high-rate discharge properties are significantly different. The possibility shows that optimizing both the surface morphology of the aluminum foil and particle size of active material leads to improvement of the battery performance.

There are many works (i.e. [1]) aiming to find out numerically how positive feedback affects the formation of invadopodia and invasion of cancer cells;however, studies on the cancer cell invasion model with free boundary are fairly rare. In this paper, we study modified cancer cell invasion model with free boundary, where, free boundary stands for cancer cell membrane, so that we can more precisely describe the positive feedback affects. Firstly, we simplized the model by means of characteristic curve and semi-groups’ property, and obtained the Stefan-like problem by introducing Gaussian Kernel and Green function. Secondly, based on the classical Stefan problem, we derived the integral solution of simplified model, which could lead us a further step to find the solution of modified cancer cell invasion model.

＜正＞ This paper presents a design approach to the electronic throttle control without any requirement of the exact values of the parameters. The dynamics of the electronic throttle involves high nonlinearity and the parameters my change significantly during operation. The proposed controller is based on a variable structure control law with parameter adaptation function. In order to demonstrate the validity of the proposed controller, a simulation and an experimental results will be given.

Objectives: Estrogens significantly contribute toward the growth and development of endometrial cancers. Two principal pathways have been implicated in the final steps of estrogen synthesis: the steroid sulfatase (STS) and aromatase pathways. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the possible effects of tumor-stromal interactions on local estrogen biosynthesis in endometrial cancer. We also assessed the biological effects of inhibitors of steroid sulfatase and aromatase in the co-culture system compared with usual monocultures. Methods/Materials: We isolated stromal cells from endometrial cancer patients to examine local biosynthesis of estrogens and tumor-stromal interactions. Next we examined the effects of steroid sulfatase inhibitor and aromatase inhibitor in monoculture of endometrial cancer cell line (Ishikawa) and in a co-culture system involving an Ishikawa cells and stromal cells. Results: Estrogen receptor and steroid sulfatase mRNA levels in cancer cells were significantly higher in the co-cultures compared with the monocultures of endometrial cancer cells. Estradiol and androstenediol concentrations were also significantly higher in the co-cultured cells. Proliferation of the cancer cells was significantly increased through the steroid sulfatase pathway, which metabolizes androgens, estrone sulfate, and estradiol sulfate as its substrates. However, its proliferation was significantly decreased by the treatment of steroid sulfatase or aromatase inhibitors. The significant growth inhibition by the steroid sulfatase and aromatase inhibitors were also observed in the co-culture system. Conclusions: We evaluated the effects of STS inhibitor and aromatase inhibitors on the proliferation of estrogen-dependent endometrial cancer cells. Considering that intratumoral estrogen metabolism plays an important role, our co-culture systems provide an environment similar to that of the tumor in living patients in terms of metabolism and synthesis of intratumoral estrogens.

The compound Neu5Ac3αF-DSPE (4), in which the C-3 position was modified with an axial fluorine atom, inhibited the catalytic hydrolysis of influenza virus sialidase and the binding activity of hemagglutinin. The inhibitory activities to sialidases were independent of virus isolates *** the positive results obtained for inhibition of hemagglutination and hemolysis induced by A/Aichi/2/68 virus,the inhibitory effect of Neu5Ac3αF-DSPE (4) against MDCK cells was examined, and it was found that 4 inhibits the viral infection with IC50 value of 5.6 μM based on the cytopathic effects. The experimental results indicate that compound 4 not only inhibits the attachment of virus to the cell surface receptor but also disturbs the release of the progeny viruses from infected cells by inhibiting both hemagglutinin and sialidase of the influenza *** study suggested that the compound is a new class of bifunctional drug candidates for the future chemotherapy of influenza.

本文介绍了在载重卡车的增压柴油机上既要获得良好的燃油经济性,又要具有极好的驱动能力的一些技术解决方法和研制过程。为获得良好的燃油经济性,首先要考虑怎样减少发动机本身的摩擦损失,同时又要保持所要求的马力和扭矩特性。高增压的小型发动机具有这种可能性,但它又有一些严重的缺点。最近研制了一台新型的较高增压、中冷柴油机。在这台发动机上采用了许多新技术,如发动机工作客积的最佳化;可变控制的惯性进气系统,带有超后弯叶轮增压器;电子控制的燃油喷射定时器(电子定时控制)以及闸门式排气制动系统等等。新近研制的卡车安装了这种发动机,该发动机的燃油经济性比原来发动机提高20～30％。为获得柴油机良好的燃油经济性,新研制的较高增压小型涡轮增压发动机带有一个空气——空气式中冷器和一个电子定时控制的燃油喷射装置。它主要是通过减少自身摩擦损失来获得良好的燃油经济性。这种发动机的燃烧系统是以日野微混合系统(HMMS)为基础的,这种系统的燃烧周期非常短,这是由于气缸内空气的高紊流能量促进了燃油微粒与空气的混合。同时,在这台发动机上还采用了可变控制的惯性进气系统,带有超后弯叶轮的涡轮增压器以及闸门式排气制动系统等等。本论文阐述了这个基本设计方案及其细节。
