In cutting aluminum alloy 6061,continuous chips have a negative influence on the machining ***,Pb is added in order to break continuous ***,from the standpoint of environmental protection,it is necessary to improve chip breakability without adding *** effective measure to improve chip breakability is by adding Si to aluminum alloy ***,the influence of Si content on tool wear has not been fully *** this study,in order to clarify the influence of a diamond-like carbon（DLC） coating layer with a Cr-based interlayer,namely（Al,Cr）N,on cutting performance,aluminum alloys having different Si contents were *** substrate of the tool material was high-speed steel（1.4%C）.The tool wear and the surface roughness were experimentally *** following results were obtained:（1） In cutting two kinds of Al-Si alloys,namely the Al-2%Si alloy and Al-4%Si alloy,the progress of wear of the DLC/（Al,Cr）N-coated tool was slower than that of the DLC-coated ***,the（Al,Cr）N interlayer was effective for decreasing the tool wear of the DLC-coated tool.（2） The wear progress of the two kinds of DLC-coated tools in cutting of Al-4%Si alloy was faster than that in cutting of Al-2%Si alloy.（3） In cutting of Al-2%Si alloy with the（Al,Cr）N/DLC-coated tool,the surface roughness was almost constant in the range of a cutting distance from 0.1 km to 9.5 km.

Resected case of eosinophilic cholangiopathy presenting with secondary sclerosing cholangitis

Eosinophilic cholangiopathy is a rare condition characterized by eosinophilic infiltration of the biliary tract and causes sclerosing cholangitis. We report a patient with secondary sclerosing cholangitis with eosinophilic cholecystitis. A 46-year-old Japanese man was admitted to our hospital with jaundice. Computed tomography revealed dilatation of both the intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile ducts, diffuse thickening of the wall of the extrahepatic bile duct, and thickening of the gallbladder wall. Under the diagnosis of lower bile duct carcinoma, he underwent pyloruspreserving pancreatoduodenectomy and liver biopsy. On histopathological examination, conspicuous fibrosis was seen in the lower bile duct wall. In the gallbladder wall, marked eosinophilic infiltration was seen. Liver biopsy revealed mild portal fibrosis. He was diagnosed as definite eosinophilic cholecystitis with sclerosing cholangitis with unknown etiology. The possible etiology of sderosing cholangitis was consequent fibrosis from previous eosinophilic infiltration in the bile duct. The clinicopathological findings of our case and a literature review indicated that eosinophilic cholangiopathy could cause a condition mimicking primary sclerosing cholangitis （PSC）. Bile duct wall thickening in patients with eosinophilic cholangitis might be due to fibrosis of the bile duct wall. Eosinophilic cholangiopathy might be confused as PSC with eosinophilia.

A case of peribiliary cysts accompanying bile duct carcinoma

A rare case of peribiliary cysts accompaying bile duct carcinoma is presented. A 54-year-old man was diagnosed as having lower bile duct carcinoma and peribiliary cysts by diagnostic imaging. He underwent pylorus preserving pancreatoduodenectomy. As for the peribiliary cysts, a course of observation was taken. Over surgery due to misdiagnosis of patients with biliary malignancy accompanied by peribiliary cysts should be avoided.

Arterio-biliary fistula as rare complication of chemoradiation therapy for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma

Significant hemobilia due to arterio-biliary fistula is a very rare complication of chemoradiation therapy(CRT) for unresectable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC).Here we report a case of arterio-biliary fistula after CRT for unresectable ICC demonstrated by angiographic *** fistula was successfully treated by endovascular *** is a rare complication,but arterio-biliary fistula should be considered after CRT of ICC.
