Interactions b.tween surface gravity wave and sub.erged horizontal flexib.e structures are studied under the assumption of small amplitude water wave theory and structural response. The generalized dispersion relation associated with surface gravity wave interaction with sub.erged horizontal flexib.e plate is analyzed to understand the characteristics of the two propagating modes due to the presence of the free surface and sub.erged horizontal plate. The phase and group velocities are studied in order to analyze the effect of sub.erged flexib.e plate on gravity wave motion. The expansion formulae b.sed on Green’s function technique and eigenfunction expansion method using Fourier transform with appropriate orthogonal mode-coupling relation associated with surface gravity wavemaker prob.ems are derived and compared in b.th the cases of water of finite and infinite depths. The usefulness of the expansion formulae is demonstrated b. deriving the solution for surface gravity wave interaction with sub.erged articulated flexib.e plate in water of finite depth. Several numerical results on reflection and transmission coefficients related to sub.erged flexib.e plate are presented in order to understand the effect of sub.erged flexib.e structure on surface wave motion in different cases.

Polygon clipping is of great importance in computer *** of the popular algorithms to clip a polygon is Cohan–Sutherland Hodgeman algorithm which is b.sed on line ***–Sutherland Hodgeman algorithm clips the polygon against the given rectangular clip window with the help of line clipping ***–Sutherland algorithm requires traversing the polygon in anti clockwise direction(positive orientation).In this work we propose an efficient polygon clipping algorithm against a rectangular clip *** algorithm uses parametric representation of polygon *** the concept of point clipping,we can find required intersection points of edges of polygon with clip window *** suited numerical illustrations are used to explain the proposed polygon clipping *** proposed algorithm is computationally less expensive and comprehensive.

Restoration of forests poses a major challenge glob.lly, particularly in the tropics, as the forests in these regions are more vulnerab.e to land-use change. We studied land-use change from natural forest(NF) to degraded forest(DF), and sub.equently to either Jatropha curcas plantation(JP) or agroecosystem(AG), in the dry tropics of Uttar Pradesh, India, with respect to its impacts on soil microb.al community composition as indicated b. phospholipid fatty acid(PLFA) b.omarkers and soil organic carb.n(SOC) content. The trend of b.cterial PLFAs across all land-use types was in the order: NF > JP > DF> AG. In NF, there was dominance of gram-negative b.cterial(G^-) PLFAs over the corresponding gram-positive b.cterial(G^+) PLFAs. The levels of G^- PLFAs in AG and JP differed significantly from those in DF, whereas those of G^+ PLFAs were relatively similar in these three land-use types. Fungal PLFAs,however, followed a different trend: NF > JP > DF = AG. Total PLFAs, fungal/b.cterial(F/b. PLFA ratio, and SOC content followed trends similar to that of b.cterial PLFAs. Across all land-use types, there were strong positive relationships b.tween SOC content and G-, b.cterial, fungal, and total microb.al PLFAs and F/b.PLFA ratio. Compared with b.cterial PLFAs, fungal PLFAs appeared to b. more responsive to land-use change. The F/b.PLFA ratio, fungal PLFAs, and b.cterial PLFAs explained 91%, 94%,and 73% of the variab.lity in SOC content, respectively. The higher F/b.PLFA ratio in JP favored more soil C storage, leading to faster ecosystem recovery compared to either AG or DF. The F/b.PLFA ratio could b. used as an early indicator of ecosystem recovery in response to disturb.nce, particularly in relation to land-use change.

Nowadays electricity market industry is b.come a major impact on power system for privatization and deregulation of power in glob.l wise. As per the limitation of the transmission system, the complexity arises and the supply fact will b. with demand at the time of b.lancing. The congestion of the power system is occurring b.sed on the transmission limits of the power desire and amount for operating the system. In order to avoid transmission line congestion, enhanced STF-LODF method is proposed. It shows the regulated line transmission flow with generating units b. implementing renewab.e energy resources (RER) b.sed on enhanced STF-LODF in power systems. It avoids the congestion of transmission line frequently in the power system and manages price b.sed on pricing and sensitivity approach, and also manages optimal location of congestion transmission and instab.lity issues of voltage. The congestion management of Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP) is performed with minimum line loss, less cost, line flow, b.tter sensitivity and b.tter performances in optimal power flow and control flow. The efficiency of the proposed power system is analyzed and verified b. the simulation results of tested IEEE 14 b.s system.

A simple commercial graphite pencil electrode was used to investigate the electrochemical oxidation of dopamine. The electropolymerised film of eriochrome b.ack t was prepared on the surface of graphite pencil electrode b. using cyclic voltammetry technique. The prepared electrode exhib.ts an excellent electrocatalytical activity towards the determination of dopamine. The effects of concentration, pH and scan rate were investigated. Simultaneous detection of dopamine and uric acid was investigated b. using b.th cyclic voltammetric and differential pulse voltammetry technique. The modified electrode was also used for the detection of dopamine in injection.

We have developed a 2D analytical model for the single gate AllnSb.lnSb.HEMT device b. solving the Poisson equation using the parab.lic approximation method. The developed model analyses the device perfomance b. calculating the parameters such as surface potential, electric field distrib.tion and drain current. The high mob.lity of the AlInSb.InSb.quantum makes this HEMT ideal for high frequency, high power applications. The working of the single gate AllnSb.InSb.HEMT device is studied b. considering the variation of gate source voltage, drain source voltage, and channel length under the gate region and temperature. The carrier transport efficiency is improved b. uniform electric field along the channel and the peak values near the source and drain regions. The results from the analytical model are compared with that of numerical simulations （TCAD） and a good agreement b.tween them is achieved.

The paper is devoted to a study of the electro-osmotic flow of a micropolar b.o-fluid, when the flow takes place b.tween two plates that are in a state of periodic vib.ations. Considering b.ood as a micropolar fluid, it is found that the amplitude of oscillation of the microparticles of b.ood increases when the micropolar effect is pronounced more and more and that a rise in Deb.eHtickel parameter enhances b.th the velocity and microrotation gradient. The results provide guidelines for the improvement of design of b.o-sensing and micro-fluidic devices. The study leads to the conclusion that electrical doub.e layers formed in the vicinity of the wall can significantly alter the flow dynamics of physiological fluids in micro-b.o-fluidic devices.

The advent of modem forces and the changes in socio- economic patterns of forest dwellers have increased the pressures on the forests. In order to mitigate such pressures and also to protect the forests and wildlife the model of protected areas networks has shifted and en- hanced such pressures in the unprotected natural forests due to several reasons. b.ing a low profile category of protected status and continuous human settlements, the present study highlights the case of dry deciduous forests of Sarguja district of Chhattisgarh state of India. The major ob.ec- tives of this study were to quantify the status of forests and wildlife and also to determine the extent of anthropogenic disturb.nces faced b. the dry deciduous forests of central India. Transect and silent drive count methods were used for sampling wildlife and quadrat method was used for sampling vegetation. b.sides, the local uses of various forest pro- duces were also studied in view of understanding the people dependency on forests. The forest vegetation, in the study area, was pre-dominated b. Shorea rob.sta, which had Madhuca indica, Diospyrus melanoxylon and b.chnania lanzan as the major companion species. The forest had either the high girth class mature tree species or the saplings. The low vegeta- tion cover and density were due to the high anthropogenic pressures mainly in the form of heavy livestock grazing and collection of etlmo- b.tanically important species. The study though reveals that the area is not rich in wildlife and the forest is fragmented, the area still supports some important species, which include many rare and endangered plants and animals. The findings of this study have b.en discussed in view of the management and conservation of the forest and wildlife in the dry deciduous forests.
