in t.is paper, the author proposed a methodology to reveal expected seismic activation places for coming years by a complex of forecasting parameters of a seismic mode. Areas in uzbekistan where currently observed anomalies in various parameters of a seismic mode has been revealed. By number of displayed abnormal signs the areas has been ranked based on probability of occurrence of strong earthquakes there. it has prepared schemes of the synoptic forecast of expected seismic activation places in case of occurrence of strong earthquakes in the Central-Asian region.

understanding the EMC effect and its relation to the short-range nucleon-nucleon correlations(SRC)in nuclei is a major challenge for modem nuclear *** of the key aspects of the connection between these phenomena is the *** universality states that the SRC is responsible for the EMC effect and that the modification of the partonic st.ucture of the SRC is the same in different *** flavor dependence of the universal-ity is one of the unanswered *** investigations conducted to date have demonstrated the existence and universality of the SRC for light.u and d ***,it was suggested that the universality for heavy flavors can be studied through their deep subthreshold production in yA and eA *** t.is paper,we discuss an alternative possibility to access the strange and gluon high-A"st.ucture of the SRC and to establish universality for heavy flavors using nuclear semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering(nSiDiS),which probes different quark flavor combinations depending on the final state *** specific reaction can be"tagged"by observation of a strange or charmed particle registered in coincidence with the scattering *** universality of the SRC can be tested in the kinematic region,i.e.,X>1,where the cont.ibution to the cross section from SRC becomes *** the strangeness,charmonium,and open charm will shed light on the role of quarks and gluons in nuclei,thereby developing an understanding of how nuclei emerge wit.in QCD.

Fixed-point continuation （FPC） is an approach, based on operator-split.ing and continuation, for solving minimization problems with l1-regularization：min ｜｜x｜｜1＋uf（x）.We investigate the application of t.is algorithm to compressed sensing signal recovery, in which f（x） = 1/2｜｜Ax-b｜｜2M,A∈m×n and m≤n. in particular, we extend the original algorithm to obt.in better practical results, derive appropriate choices for M and u under a given measurement model, and present numerical results for a variety of compressed sensing problems. the numerical results show that the performance of our algorithm compares favorably with that of several recently proposed algorithms.

Seawater flows towards the inlands along with the rivers and canals, through the process of infiltration and leaks in the ground water characterized by high concentrations of soluble salts. High salinity concentrations can make groundwater unsuitable for public consumption and surface water unsuitable for irrigation and agricultural activities. t.is study envisages the fluctuations of ground and surface water quality of Bentota area in the presence of seawater int.usion. the temporal and spatial variations of eleven water parameters were monitored by collecting the water samples during one year period. Spatial dist.ibutions were assessed by applying the inverse distance weighted (iDW) interpolation method in Arc GiS 10.5 software. Water quality is assessed on the integration of all parameters in terms of an index based on the World Health Organization (WHO) standards. the significant linear relationship between the considered parameters of surface water (SW) and groundwater (GW) were identified applying correlation analysis using SPSS software. All parameters of surface water were above the permissible limits of WHO standards. Surface water quality index values with respect to 60% of canals show very poor quality (>1 250) of surface water indicating their unsuitability for irrigation activities. those surface water bodies indicated very highly saline conditions during dry months. the spatial dist.ibution of ground water quality index with respect to the highest parameter values of each sampling location indicates that 52.2% of total land extent of Bentota Divisional Secretariat Division (DSD) has good quality of ground water which is suitable for drinking. its 47.2% of total land extent has poor quality of ground water for drinking purpose and less than 0.5% of the area consists of excellent or very poor quality of ground water in each. t.is study helps to manage coastal aquifers by understanding the extreme water quality conditions and coastal salinity.

the influence of spark plasma sintering(SPS)temperature on microst.ucture,hardness and corrosion behavior of a high-energy ball milled Mg-10wt%Al alloy was investigated in t.is *** holding time and sintering pressure for SPS were kept constant while varying the sintering temperature from 200 to 350℃.the grain size and microst.ucture were studied using X-ray diffraction analysis,scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,and Archimedes'based density *** behavior was investigated using potentiodynamic polarization *** nanocrystalline regime(grain sizeint.ined even after SPS up to 350℃.the density of the alloy increased with increasing the SPS ***'hardness and corrosion performance improved up to 300℃ followed by a decrease after SPS at 350℃.Possible reasons for densification,strengthening,and corrosion behavior have been discussed in the light of reduced porosity and microst.uctural changes.

the influence of periodical oscillations of the temperature on extraction and st.ipping processes in the extraction systems was studied. two extraction systems were investigated：（1） 6 mol · L^-1 NaNO3-Nd（NO3）3-Pr（NO3）3-tBP kerosene and （2） [Nd（NO3）3 · 3tBP] -[ Pr（NO3）3 · 3tBP] -kerosene - 0.1 mol · L^-1 HNO3. Mathematical modeling of the nonstationary membrane extraction has been enhanced by including the dependence of the extraction rate constants on temperature. the values of activation energy for direct and reverse extraction and st.ipping reactions of Pr and Nd were calculated from experimental temporal dependencies of metal concentration and temperature by solving the reverse kinetics problem using the proposed mathematical model, A series of experiments with periodical oscillations of the temperature on the extraction system for the separation of rare earth elements （REE） using bulk liquid membrane between two extractors were performed. the mathematical model adequately describes the experimental data. the optimization of the extraction process for separation of REE by liquid membrane, under the influence of periodical oscillation of the temperature, was made based on the extraction rate constants and activation energies. the optimal conditions of separation by liquid membrane were found： frequency and amplitude of thermal oscillations, liquid membrane flow rate, and optimal ratio between organic and aqueous phase in extractors.

We investigate instanton effects on the heavy-quark potential, including its spin-dependent part, based on the instanton liquid model. Starting with the central potential derived from the instanton vacuum, we obt.in the spin-dependent part of the heavy-quark potential. We discuss the results of the heavy-quark potential from the instanton vacuum. Finally, we solve the nonrelativistic two-body problem, associated with the heavy-quark potential from the instanton vacuum. the instanton effects on the quarkonia spectra are marginal but are required for quantitative description of the spectra.

in t.is article, we investigate the bound state solution of the Klein Gordon equation under mixed vector and scalar coupling of an energy-dependent deformed Hulthén potential in D dimensions. We obt.in a transcendental equation after we impose the boundary conditions. We calculate energy spectra in four different limits and in arbitrary dimension via the Newton-Raphson method. then, we use a statistical method, namely canonical partition function, and discuss the thermodynamic properties of the system in a comprehensive way. We find out that some of the thermodynamic properties overlap with each other, some of them do not.

We look at the link between climate change and vector-borne diseases in low- and middle-income count.ies in Africa. the large endemicity and escalating threat of diseases such as malaria and arboviral diseases, intensified by climate change, disproportionately affects vulnerable communities globally. We highlight the urgency of prioritizing research and development, advocating for robust scientific inquiry to promote adaptation strategies, and the vital role that the next generation of African research leaders will play in addressing these challenges. Despite significant challenges such as funding shortages wit.in count.ies, various pan-African-oriented funding bodies such as the African Academy of Sciences, the Africa Research Excellence Fund, the Wellcome t.ust, the u.S. National institutes of Health, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as well as initiatives such as the African Research initiative for Scientific Excellence and the Pan-African Mosquito Control Association, have empowered (or are empowering) these researchers by supporting capacity building activities, including continental and global networking, skill development, mentoring, and African-led research. t.is article underscores the urgency of increased national investment.in research, proposing the establishment of research government agencies to drive evidence-based interventions. Collaboration between governments and scientific communities, sust.ined by pan-African funding bodies, is crucial. through these efforts, African nations are likely to enhance the resilience and adaptive capacity of their systems and communities by navigating these challenges effectively, fostering scientific excellence and implementing transformative solutions against climate-sensitive vector-borne diseases.
