the administration time is a critical but long-neglected point in cell therapy based on macrophages because the incorrect.t.me of macrophage administration could result in diverse outcomes regarding the same macrophage *** this work,the second near-infrared(NIR-II)fluorescence imaging in vivo tracking of m2 macrophages during a pro-healing therapy in the mice model of rotator cuff injury revealed that the behavior of administrated macrophages was influenced by the timing of their *** delayed cell therapy(DCt)group had a longer retention time of injected m2 macrophages in the repairing tissue than that in the immediate cell therapy(ICt)*** Keller-Segel model and histological analysis further demonstrated that DCt altered the chemotaxis of m2 macrophages and improved the healing outcome of the repaired structure in comparison with *** results offer a possible explanation of previous conflicting results on reparative cell therapy and provoke reconsideration of the timing of these therapies.

Impact of Dewatering on the Spatio-temporal Distribution of Benthic macroinvertebrate Communities in the Okpara River, Benin

Surface watercourses are areas of very high ecological and heritage value. macroinvertebrates are bioindicators of the health of aquatic ecosystems. the aim of this study was to assess the effects of dewatering and re-watering cycles on benthic macroinvertebrate (BmI) communities. two data collections were carried out at two stations (Okpara 1 and Okpara 2) on the Okpara river before and after dewatering. thus, 8 samples of benthic macroinvertebrates and 12 physico-chemical parameters (t°C, pH, transparency, Depth, Conductivity, Dissolved Oxygen that were measured in situ, and BOD5, COD, NH4+, NO3-, NO2- and PO43-) were assayed in the laboratory. Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) was used to match physico-chemical data to mIB families. Shannon and Piélou diversity indices were used to determine the effects of dewatering on mIBs. the increase in temperature values of pH, BOD5, COD, NH4+, NO3-, NO2- and PO43-, after re-watering indicates the effect of dewatering on the quality of Okpara aquatic ecosystems. the benthic macrofauna collected consisted of 62.42% insects, 0.65% crustaceans, 6.48% molluscs, 0.72% worms and 0.14% arachnids. Whereas after re-watering, 21.67% insects, 0% crustaceans, 0.22% molluscs, 7.56% worms and 0.29% arachnids were recorded. Insects, crustaceans and molluscs were more abundant before dewatering than after. this was revealed by low abundances and taxonomic richness, as well as low Shannon index values of samples collected after re-watering.

Objective: the main objective of this study was to assess the degree of contamination of surface waters by heavy metals and pesticides. method: to this end, data were collected in December 2022 from four specific sampling stations: Okpara, térou, Affon and Adjiro. Levels of heavy metals, including cadmium, chromium, copper, iron, mercury, nickel and lead, were measured and subjected to in-depth statistical analysis using graphical summation models. In addition, the concentrations of pesticide active ingredients present in the samples were interpreted and evaluated. the statistical data collected during this study were processed using R software, version 3.5.0. Results: the values obtained at the different stations Okpara, térou, Affon and Adjiro are respectively Arsenic (2 × 10-4 mg/L;2.2 × 10-1 mg/L;1.2 × 10-4 mg/L;2 × 10-4 mg/L), Cadmium (4.4 × 10-5 mg/L;1.1 × 10-2 mg/L;10-4 mg/L;4 × 10-4 mg/L). then Copper (7 × 10-4 mg/L;3 × 10-3 mg/L;7 × 10-4 mg/L;1 × 10-4 mg/L), Iron (1.51 mg/L;6.4 × 10-1 mg/L;2.0012 mg/L;2.9 × 10-1 mg/L), Lead (0 mg/L;0 mg/L;1.5 × 10-3 mg/L;1.5 × 10-3 mg/L). mercury, nickel and chromium were not detected in surface waters. It is important to note that the values obtained for trace metals (Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, Iron, mercury, nickel and chromium were not detected in surface waters. It is important to note that the values obtained for trace metals (cadmium, chromium, copper, iron, mercury, nickel and lead) were all below the guideline standards set by the WHO in 2006 for uncontaminated surface waters. this indicates that the surface waters of the Upper Ouémé were below acceptable contamination thresholds in terms of heavy metals. Objective to investigate a 272 base pair section of the 5' non coding region of genomic DNA from the peripheral blood monounuclear cells of healthy hepatitis virus C (HCV) negative human subjects (not patients) mothods this sequence section bears interest because ① it harbors several potential methylation (Cp rich) sites, and ② it represents the largest part of its internal ribosomal entry site A pre PCR digestion protocol was established making consistent use of four restriction endonucleases selected for certain features: SmaI, XmaCI, mspI, and HpaII are inhibited if methylation(s) are present at certain cytosines within their cutting sequences Results the suspected HCV specific sequence was found in the DNA of each subject tested the pre PCR digestion assay reveals individual differences in their pattern of methylation, which may be due to possible epigenetic phenomena Conclusions the results provide formal proof that these HCV specific sequences are contained in the genomic or extra chromosomal target DNA, and probably belong to a new class of endogenous sequences

老年急性脑卒中后偏瘫患者康复训练依从性的影响因素

目的探讨老年急性脑卒中后偏瘫患者康复训练依从性的影响因素。方法回顾性分析南京医科大学附属南京医院2021年4月至2023年4月收治的149例老年急性脑卒中后偏瘫患者的临床资料。使用康复锻炼依从性量表评估老年急性脑卒中后偏瘫患者康复训练的依从性,比较不同临床特征患者身体锻炼依从性评分、锻炼监测依从性评分、主动寻求建议依从性评分的差异。采用SPSS 22.0统计软件进行数据分析。根据数据类型,分别采用t检验或方差分析进行组间比较。通过多因素logistic回归分析老年急性脑卒中后偏瘫患者康复训练依从性的影响因素。结果 149例老年急性脑卒中后偏瘫患者身体锻炼依从性评分为(20.19±5.15)分,锻炼监测依从性评分为(7.21±2.88)分,主动寻求建议依从性评分为(7.42±2.64)分。不同文化程度、婚姻情况、家庭月收入、神经功能缺损程度及是否焦虑或抑郁的患者身体锻炼依从性评分比较,差异有统计学意义(Ptic回归分析显示,初中文化程度(OR=2.469,95%CI 1.244~4.900)、离婚或丧偶或未婚(OR=3.109,95%CI 1.437~6.726)、家庭月收入<2 000元(OR=2.436,95%CI 1.228~4.832)、焦虑或抑郁(OR=1.346,95%CI 1.038~1.745)、重度神经功能缺损(OR=3.775,95%CI 1.841-7.741)是影响患者身体锻炼依从性的危险因素;初中文化程度(OR=1.190,95%CI 1.006~1.408)、焦虑或抑郁(OR=1.438,95%CI 1.118~1.850)是影响患者锻炼监测依从性的危险因素;初中文化程度(OR=3.987,95%CI 1.419~11.202)、离婚或丧偶或未婚(OR=3.883,95%CI 1.502~10.038)、焦虑或抑郁(OR=1.927,95%CI 1.333~2.786)是影响患者主动寻求建议依从性的危险因素。结论老年急性脑卒中后偏瘫患者康复训练依从性受到较多因素的影响,如文化程度、婚姻情况、家庭月收入、焦虑或抑郁、神经功能缺损程度,临床医师应予以重视。

Performances of Clustering methods Considering Data transformation and Sample Size: An Evaluation with Fisheries Survey Data

Clustering is a group of unsupervised statistical techniques commonly used in many disciplines. Considering their applications to fish abundance data, many technical details need to be considered to ensure reasonable interpretation. However, the reliability and stability of the clustering methods have rarely been studied in the contexts of fisheries. this study presents an intensive evaluation of three common clustering methods, including hierarchical clustering(HC), K-means(Km), and expectation-maximization(Em) methods, based on fish community surveys in the coastal waters of Shandong, China. We evaluated the performances of these three methods considering different numbers of clusters, data size, and data transformation approaches, focusing on the consistency validation using the index of average proportion of non-overlap(APN). the results indicate that the three methods tend to be inconsistent in the optimal number of clusters. Em showed relatively better performances to avoid unbalanced classification, whereas HC and Km provided more stable clustering results. Data transformation including scaling, square-root, and log-transformation had substantial influences on the clustering results, especially for Km. moreover, transformation also influenced clustering stability, wherein scaling tended to provide a stable solution at the same number of clusters. the APN values indicated improved stability with increasing data size, and the effect leveled off over 70 samples in general and most quickly in Em. We conclude that the best clustering method can be chosen depending on the aim of the study and the number of clusters. In general, Km is relatively robust in our tests. We also provide recommendations for future application of clustering analyses. this study is helpful to ensure the credibility of the application and interpretation of clustering methods.
