Background:Leishmaniasis causes alterations and lesions in the genital system,which leads to azoospermia and testicular atrophy in animals during the chronic phase of the *** aim of this study was to reveal the kinetics of Leishmania chagasi infection in the genital system of male golden hamsters(Mesocricetus auratus).Methods:Animals were intraperitoneally inoculated with amastigotes from *** different time points animals were euthanized and genital organs processed for histo-pathological,qPCR,cytokines and testosterone detection ***:Our results showed a high parasite load in testis,followed by an increase of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL1-β,tNF-αand IFN-γ,and ***,IL-4 expression was upregulated and basal parasite persistence in testis was observed using the experimental ***:Extracellular amastigotes migrated to the epididymis posing as a potential major factor of parasite persistence and venereal transmission of *** infection in hamsters.

Endoscopic papillary balloon dilation after sphincterotomy for difficult choledocholithiasis:A case-controlled study

Influence of Bentonite and MB4 on the Chemical Characteristics of an Oxisol

the growing concern with the quality of life and the environment, due to the degradation of natural resources and their contamination, mainly with agrochemicals, led to the emergence of a sustainable or alternative agriculture. the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the addition of increasing doses of bentonite and MB4 on the availability of nutrients to the soil. the experiment consisted of a 4 × 4 factorial, bentonite doses (0, 30, 60 and 90 t⋅ha−1) and MB4 doses (0, 3, 6 and 9 t⋅ha−1) with three replications. the soil mixtures with the treatments were conditioned in the plastic pots, incubated for 90 days in a greenhouse, and chemically analyzed. Data were submitted to analysis of variance and comparison of means by the tukey test. Increasing doses of bentonite and MB4 promoted an increase in the calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg) in the soil sample either alone or the mixture of two factors, except for the mixture of the Ca Mg doses. Increasing doses of bentonite increased the cation exchange capacity of the soil, favoring the availability of nutrients in the soil. the increasing doses of MB4 favored the increase of the pH values and, consequently, decreased the soil potential acidity values for the applied bentonite doses. On the other hand, these treatments decreased the cation exchange capacity of the soil.

A compiled selected literature on some groups of microfossils of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic of the James Ross Basin,eastern antarctic Peninsula,is presented here,in order to show how the microbiota has been modified over time,triggered by environmental *** analyzed microfossils consist of palynomorphs(mostly pollen grains,spores,and dinoflagellate cysts),foraminifers and *** cysts and pollen-spores have been recorded in Jurassic to Pleistocene sedimentary *** cysts proved to be good indicators for productivity and/or nutrient availability,surface water temperature and chemistry,the position of ancient shorelines and paleoceanographic *** and spores allowed reconstruction of floral community and thus characterization of the climate that prevailed on the ***,recovered from the Lower Cretaceous to the Pleistocene sedimentary rocks,provided information about the bathymetry,showing different marine settings(e.g.,coastal,inner neritic,outer neritic,upper bathyal)in different *** bryozoan record is restricted to the *** colonial growth-forms reflect several environmental conditions such as shallow waters with a low rate of sedimentation,hard substrate and moderate or strong current action for the analyzed *** study of the antarctic ecosystems based on the fossil microbiota and their response to the climate and the continental configuration changes,allowed understanding of the composition and dynamics of the polar environments,which have an important role in the Earth climate.
