Attachment styles and PtSD in adolescents in three Nordic Countries

Studies of possible variables influencing development of post.raumatic stress (PtSD) are of great importance in the effort to enhance preventive and interventional methods in the aim to prevail this devastating condition. Despite the vast research in adults, little is still known of adolescents. Although research is scarce, attachment style has been identified to be an influencing factor in adults, and still research in adolescent is almost non-existent. to our knowledge, no prior study has been conducted, looking at the relationship between attachment style, exposure to a broad range of potentially traumatic events, and subsequent PtSD symptoms in a cross cult.ral perspective. this is the aim of the present study. Procedure: Data was collected from questionnaire surveys of 1283 adolescents (mean age 14.1 years). Measures: PtSD was measured with the Harvard trauma Questionnaire-Part IV (HtQ);and attachment style was studied using the Revised Adult Attachment Scale (raAS). Potentially traumatic events were examined using a broad event list of 19 events. Results: Contrary to what was expected, significant cross cult.ral differences were found in the distribution of securely, preoccupied, and dismissive attached. Around half of the Faroese population was securely attached, contrary to the Danish and Icelandic population, where the majority was dismissive attached. Cross cult.ral differences were also found in the distribution of attachment style among those adolescents with PtSD. the majority of the Danish adolescent population with PtSD was dismissive attached;the majority of the Faroese adolescent population with PtSD was securely attached, and in the Icelandic adolescents with PtSD were distributed somewhat even between the four attachment styles. Finally, cross cult.ral differences were identified in which potentially traumatic events had a significant contribution to the variation in PtSD. the results are discussed and clinical recommendations are presented.

In the present study ti-Nb binary alloy system was chosen because it has excellent biocompatibility as well as reasonable mechanical properties,aiming at understanding oxygen content on microstruct.ral formation, elastic modulus and tensile properties in ti-Nb alloy *** alloy buttons of 50 mm in diameter were prepared by arc melting on a water-cooled copper hearth under an argon gas atmosphere with a non-consumable tungsten *** button ingots were then heat treated in a vacuum atmosphere at 1273 K for 0.5 h followed by water quenching in a specially designed heat treatment ***,elastic modulus and tensile properties were investigated in order to understand the effect of oxygen content in quenched ti- Nb alloy *** orthorhombic structuredα″martensite was changed to bcc structuredβ-phase with increasing Nb ***,it was found that oxygen makesβ-phase stable in quenched ti-Nb alloy *** modulus values were sensitive to phase stability of constituent *** strength increased with increasing oxygen *** will be explained by phase formation and stability behavior.

Severity of gastroesophageal reflux disease influences daytime somnolence: A clinical study of 134 patients underwent upper panendoscopy

AIM: to asses the relationship between severity of gastroesophageal refluxe disease and Epworth sleepiness scale as an indicator of daytime somnolence. MEtHODS: One hundred and thirty-four patients underwent an upper panendoscopy as indicated by the typical reflux symptoms and were also investigated with regard to somnolence. Sleepiness was evaluated by Epworth Sleepiness Scale, which was compared to the severity of endoscopic findings (Savary-Miller/modified by Siewert). Patients with psychiatric disorders or being on sedato-hypnotics as well as shift workers were excluded from the study. the relationship between the severity of the reflux disease and daytime somnolence was analyzed with the help of multivariate regression analysis. RESULtS: A positive tendency was found between the severity of the reflux disease and the corresponding Epworth Sleepiness Scale. In the case of the more severe type-Savary-Miller Ⅲ- at least a mild hypersomnia was found. For this group daytime somnolence was significantly higher than in the case of the non-erosive type of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease representing the mildest stage of reflux disease. CONCLUSION: the severity of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease influences daytime somnolence.

this review focuses on current knowledge on hepato-cyte aquaporins(AQPs)and their significance in bile formation and *** bile secretion results from a combined int.raction of several solute transporters and AQP water channels that facilitate water flow in response to the osmotic gradients created. During choleresis,hepatocytes rapidly increase their canalicular membrane water permeability by modulating the abundance of *** question was raised as to whether the opposite process,i.e.a decreased canalicular AQP8 expression would contribute to the development of *** in several experimental models of cholestasis,such as extrahepatic obstructive cholestasis,estrogen-induced cholestasis, and sepsis-induced cholestasis demonstrated that the protein expression of hepatocyte AQP8 was impaired. In addition,biophysical studies in canalicular plasma membranes revealed decreased water permeability associated with AQP8 protein *** combined alt.ration in hepatocyte solute transporters and AQP8 would hamper the efficient coupling of osmotic gradients and canalicular water *** cholestasis may result from a mutual occurrence of impaired solute transport and decreased water permeability.

BACKGROUND Adolescents with autism spectrum disorder(ASD)may encounter many difficulties with their menstrual *** challenges that adolescents with ASD may face include understanding physical changes,coping with symptoms,emotional sensitivity,communication,personal care,and *** to evaluate the effect of menstrual hygiene skills training given to adolescents with ASD on their menstrual hygiene *** the study was conducted with 15 adolescents diagnosed with ASD by the single group pre-test and post-test model in three special education centers in tü*** were collected with the Adolescent and Parent Information Form and the Adolescent-Specific Menstrual Hygiene Skill Registration *** While the mean age of adolescents was 16.06±0.88 years,the mean age of individuals responsible for adolescent care was 43.66±5.56 *** 60.0%of the adolescents noticed the onset of bleeding before training,this rate was 93.3%after *** Adolescent-Specific Menstrual Hygiene Skill Registration Form showed a statistically significant increase in the application steps after the *** difference between the menstrual hygiene skill scores of adolescents CONCLUSION the menstrual hygiene skills training given to adolescents with ASD was beneficial in increasing their menstrual hygiene *** individuals must take responsibility during menstruation and independently manage their continuous care activities.

Gemerska Poloma矿床是个重要的滑石矿床(储量20万吨),位于西喀尔巴阡山脉Germeric地区.部分滑石化的镁质碳酸盐体赋存在早古生代火山沉积杂岩体中(黑色片岩,变质泥岩),在Variscan变质作用(M1)过程中受到了绿泥石-黑云母带区域变质相的改造.这种原岩是石灰岩的矿体由白色-灰白或者灰色-黑色的菱镁矿与白云石1组成,被次生的白云石2和滑石脉切割.本次研究考察了两次变质事件(M1和M2)的几个连续的矿物组合,最早的组合包括铁白云石,镁菱铁矿与菱铁矿,(并与黑电气石,铁绿泥石,磷灰石,与伊利石-白云母伴生),它们以微小残留物形式产出在菱镁矿和白云石1中,其形成可能早于M1变质作用高峰期.M1变质事件的高峰期以富铁金云母,镁绿泥石1,镁电气石(黑电气石的边缘)和石英的组合为代表.在M1退变质作用过程中,发生了镁交代作用,开始是白云石1结晶,接下来形成菱镁矿,最后是以铁菱镁矿沿裂隙的形成而终.根据碳酸盐地质测温原理,M1变质事件的高峰期温度为460～490°C,变质矿物组合特征也支持这一测温结果.滑石,白云石2,与镁绿泥石2沿着镁碳酸盐岩石裂隙的发育,主要受到M2变质事件的影响,这个变质事件与较年青的Alpine造山事件有关.菱镁矿流体包裹体的研究表明,成矿流体具有复杂的组成,可能以MgCl2组分为主,主要来源于蒸发卤水的演化.原生流体包裹体的盐度～35(wt%MgCl2),均一温度变化范围是216～235℃.石英中流体包裹体也显示了以MgCl2组分为主的相似流体组成,但均一温度比较高,为248～313℃.如果假定石英与M1变质事件同期,那么由流体包裹体计算出的M1变质峰期压力范围是250～350MPa(9～13km),因此地温梯度是35～40℃/km.假定这个梯度在镁交代成矿过程中保持不变,那么相关流体在180～280MPa(7～11km)的压力下的温度为300～350℃.流体包裹体的淋滤分析表明,流体中Cl/Br与Na/Br都很高,说明流体具有蒸发特征.而在Gemeric地区只有在晚二叠纪到早三叠纪这段时间才有如此大量的卤水形成.因此,二叠纪的伸展构造运动与形成菱镁矿的热液系统的形成有关.

Hot deformation behavior, microstruct.ral evolution and flow softening mechanism were investigated in ti-46A1-8Nb alloy via isothermal compression approach. the true stress-strain curves exhibited typical work hardening and flow softening, in which the dependence of the peak stress on temperature and strain rate was obtained by hyperbolic sine equation with Zener-Hollomon （Z） parameter, and the activation energy was calculated to be 446.9 kJ/mol. the microstruct.ral analysis shows that the alternate dark and light deformed ribbons of Al-rich and Nb-rich regions appeared and were associated with local flow involving solute segregation. the Al segregation promoted flow softening mainly arising from the recrystaUization of V phase with low stacking fault energy. the coarse recrystallized 7 and several massive phase were observed at grain boundaries. While in the case of Nb segregation, t/B2 phase harmonized bending of lamellae, combined with the growth of recrystallized γ grains and α ＋ β ＋ γ→α＋ γ transition under conditions of temperature and stress, leading to the breakdown of α2/γ lamellar colony. During the hot compression process, gliding and dissociation of dislocations occurred in γ phase that acted as the main softening mechanism, leading to extensive γ twins and cross twins in α/γ lamellae and at grain boundaries. In general, homogeneous microstructure during the hot defor- mation process can be obtained in tiAl alloy with high Nb addition and low Al segregation. the deformation substructures intrinsically promote the formability of ti--46Al-8Nb alloy.
