We report on an experiment performed at the FLASH2 free-electron laser(FEL)aimed at producing warm dense matter via soft x-ray isochoric *** the experiment,we focus on study of the ions emitted during the soft x-ray ablation process using time-of-flight electron multipliers and a shifted Maxwell–Boltzmann velocity distribution *** find that most emitted ions are thermal,but that some impurities chemisorbed on the target surface,such as protons,are accelerated by the electrostatic field created in the plasma by escaped *** morphology of the complex crater structure indicates the presence of several ion groups with varying *** find that the ion sound velocity is controlled by the ion temperature and show how the ion yield depends on the FEL radiation attenuation length in different materials.

the applications of wearable devices in the rehabilitation of ankle injuries: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Wearable devices have been used in the treatment and rehabilitation of ankle *** article systematically reviewed the trials that summarize and evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation treatment after an ankle *** databases,PubMed(1974–2021),Embase,and Web of Science(1950–2021),were *** intervention was any wearable device,and the outcome measures were Activities Scale for Kids performance(ASKp),Foot and Ankle Outcome Score(FAOS),American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS),Olerud-Molander Ankle Score(omas),and Circumference as measured by any validated outcome *** independent authors evaluated the studies with the Cochrane risk-of-bias *** papers were included,involving 476 participants,with a mean age of 29.3±6.7 *** mean duration of wearable devices was 3.83 weeks,and the mean length of training was 3.75 *** devices achieved better results compared with control on the functional performance(standardized mean difference[SMD]0.66;95%confidence interval[CI]0.29 to 1.04;I^(2)=76%;Pto 1.35;I^(2)=82%;Pthe definitive judgment could not be made due to the variability in training,training duration,and outcomes *** devices are a promising approach that has positive effects on ankle injuries in terms of functional performance and reducing the extent of *** is insufficient evidence from randomized controlled trials(RCts)to support this for ankle injury patients using wearable ***,there is an need for well-conducted randomized controlled trials investigating more adaptive orthoses to achieve more effective strategies for early functional *** registration number:CRD42021246289.

We investigated the expression of CD10 by an immunohistochemical method in 51 basal cell carcinomas (BCCs), eight pilomatricomas, five trichoblastomas, two tr ichofolliculomas, three sebaceomas, five sebaceous carcinomas, ten syringomas, t wo spiradenomas, ten poromas, four porocarcinomas, one eccrine duct carcinoma (n ot otherwise specified, NOS), six mixed tumors of apocrine origin, and nine squa mous cell carcinomas (SCCs). We detected strong expression of CD10 in tumor cell s of BCC(86%),and found that the smaller the number of positive tumor cells, th e larger the number of positive stromal cells, in particular in sclerosing BCCs. Spearman’s rank correlation test revealed a significant negative correlation i n BCCs between the expression of CD10 in tumor cells and that in stromal cells (P=0.001). In all pilomatricomas (100%) and in four trichoblast.omas (80%), strong expression was also detected in tumor cells. there was no de tectable expression in trichofolliculomas. One sebaceoma (33%) and two sebaceou s carcinomas (40%)expressed CD10 in a similar fashion to BCCs. All tumors of ec crine gland origin, including syringoma, spiradenoma, poroma, porocarcinoma, and eccrine duct carcinoma (NOS), did not express CD10. Five mixed tumors (83%) we re immunopositive. In SCC, CD10 was overexpressed only in the stromal cells. the se findings support the hypothesis that BCC is derived from the folliculo-sebac eous apocrine unit, especially having the same origin as trichoblastoma and pilo matricoma. CD10 might be an indicator of tumor invasiveness if it is expressed i n stromal cells, while it might be a marker of follicular differentiation if it is expressed in the actual tumor cells of cutaneous epithelial neoplasms.

PURPOSE: to evaluate the outcome of sodium morrhuate 5%injections in patients with low flow vascular lesions, which consist of orbital lymphangiomas, and in one patient with intraosseous cavernous hemangioma. DESIGN: Pros-pective, interventional consecutive case series. MEtHODS: Intralesional sodium morrhuate 5%was injected under direct visualization or under radiographic guidance to six patients with orbital lymphangiomas and one patient with intraosseous cavernous hemangioma. Comprehensive eye examination and follow-up imaging studies were performed. MAINOUtCOME MEASURES: Lesion size was evaluated by orbital imaging and clinical examination, visual acuity, exophthalmos, and posttreatment complications. RESULtS: Seven patients (four female, three male; average age, 33 years) were included. Six patients were diagnosed with orbital lymphangioma, and one patient was diagnosed with intraosseous cavernous hemangioma. Patients received an average of 2.6 ±2 intralesional injections of sodium morrhuate, with a range of one to six injections and a mean volume of 0.9 ±0.8 ml (range, 0.2 to 2.1 ml). Lesions showed a decrease in size an average of 50%(33%) and ranged from minimal (10%) to near total resolution (85%). Visual acuity and intraocular pressure remained unchanged; exophthalmos decreased an average of 1.5 ±1.8 mm. Complications included one case of orbital hemorrhage that resolved spontaneously and transient keratopathy in all patients with anterior orbital lesions. CONCLUSION: Intralesional sclerosing therapy with sodium morrhuate 5%is effective in tumor debulking in patients with orbital lymphangioma and is not associated with vision-threatening complications. It may be a better alternative to surgery for low flow orbital tumors, which includes lymphangioma.
