static and dynamic responses of a microcantilever with a t-shaped tip mass to an electrostatic actuation

In this study, nonlinear static and dynamic responses of a microcantilever with a t-shaped tip mass excited by electrostatic actuations are investigated. the electrostatic force is generated by applying an electric voltage between the horizontal part of t-shaped tip mass and an opposite electrode plate. the cantilever microbeam is modeled as an Euler-Bernoulli beam. the t-shaped tip mass is assumed to be a rigid body and the nonlinear effect of electrostatic force is considered. An equation of motion and its associated boundary conditions are derived by the aid of combining the Hamilton principle and Newton’s method. An exact solution is obtained for static deflection and mode shape of vibration around the static position. the differential equation of nonlinear vibration around the static position is discretized using the Galerkin method. the syst.m mode shapes are used as its related comparison functions. the discretized equations are solved by the perturbation theory in the neighborhood of primary and subharmonic resonances. In addition, effects of mass inertia, mass moment of inertia as well as rotation of the t-shaped mass, which were ignored in previous works, are considered in the analysis. It is shown that by increasing the length of the horizontal part of the t-shaped mass, the amount of static deflection increases, natural frequency decreases and nonlinear shift of the resonance frequency increases. It is concluded that attaching an electrode plate with a t-shaped configuration to the end of the cantilever microbeam results in a configuration with larger pull-in voltage and smaller nonlinear shift of the resonance frequency compared to the configuration in which the electrode plate is directly attached to it.

Wheat-Exuded Organic Acids Influence Zinc Release from Calcareous soils

Rhizosphere drives plant uptake of sparingly soluble soil zinc(Zn).An investigation with three experiments was conducted to study organic acid exudation by two contrasting wheat genotypes(sehar-06 and Vatan),Zn fractions in 10 different calcareous soils from Punjab,Pakistan,and release of different soil Zn fractions by organic *** two genotypes differed significantly in biomass production and Zn accumulation under deficient and opt.mum Zn levels in nutrient *** a deficient Zn level,sehar-06 released more maleic acid in the rhizosphere than *** soils used in the present study had very different physicochemical properties;their total Zn and Zn distribution among different fractions varied *** release behaviour was determined by extracting the soils with 0.005 mol L-1 citric acid or maleic *** parabolic diffusion model best described Zn release as a function of *** diffusion model fitting indicated more maleic acid-driven than citric acid-driven soil Zn mobility from different *** Zn release in six consecutive extractions during 24 h ranged from 1.85 to 13.58 mg kg-1 using maleic acid and from 0.37 to 11.84 mg kg-1 using citric *** the selected calcareous soils,the results of stepwise linear regression indicated significant release of Fe-mn oxide-bounded soil Zn by maleic acid and its availability to the Zn-effcient ***,release of maleic acid by plants roots played an important role in phytoavailability of Zn from calcareous soils.

this analysis evaluates the possibility of the search for Dark matter(Dm)particles using events with a Zf heavy gauge boson and a large missing transverse moment.m at the Large Hadron Collider(LHC).We consider the muonic decay of Z'.the analyzed monte Carlo samples were the Open simulated files produced by the Compact.muon solenoid(Cms)collaboration for proton-proton collisions,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of the LHC run-I with 19.7 fb^(-1) at √s=8 *** scenarios,namely a simplified benchmark scenario,called Dark Higgs,and the effective field theory(EFt)formalism,were used for *** were set on Z′,dark matter masses,and the cutoff scale of the EFt.

Un-doped and ZnAl_(x)O_(1.5x+1):0.1 mol%tb^(3+)(ZAOt)nano-powders were synthesized via citrate sol-gel *** AIx moles were varied in the range of 0.25≤x≤*** X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)data reveal that for xthe prepared samples crystal structure consists of mixed phases of the cubic ZnAl_(2)O_(4) and hexagonal ZnO phases,while for x>1.5 the structure consists of single phase of cubic ZnAl_(2)O_(4).the Raman and Fourier-trans form infrared(FtIR)vibrational spectroscopy show the presence of vibrations emanating ZnAl_(2)O_(4) *** electron microscopy(sEm)and transmission electron microscopy(t.m)show the presence of irregular sphere at x>2.0 attributed to ZnAl_(2)O_(4).the photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy reveals emissions from both the host and tb^(3+)*** from tb^(3+)are observed at 382,414,439,458 nm and 489,545,585,621 nm,which were attributed to the^(5)D_(3)→^(7)F_(6,5,4,2) and ^(5^)D_(4)→^(7)F_(6,5,4,3),*** results confirm that the tb^(3+)occupation site depends on the Alx *** International Commission on Illumination(CIE)colour chromaticity shows that the emission colour can be tuned from blue to green by varying the AIx moles.

screening the Insecticidal Efficacy of Nano ZnO synthesized via in-situ Polymerization of Crosslinked Polyacrylic Acid as a t.mplate

Nano zinc oxide （ZnO） is a very useful and important.material in many industrial and biological applications. In the present work, ZnO was synthesized by post thermal degradation of the precursor ＂zinc acetate di-hydrate＂ t.mplated in crosslinked polyacrylic acid （PAA）. the crosslinked PAA t.mplate was prepared through an in-situ polymerization process adopted in presence of ammonium per sulphate, as an initiator, and N, Nt- methylene bis-acrylamide as the crosslinker. Variation of preparation parameters and their impact on the oxide stoichiometry, crystal structure, crystallite size and surface texture of the oxide were investigated. Energy dispersive X-ray technique （EDX）, X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （sEm） were convincingly used to reveal the oxide structural features and characteristics. the performed bioassay tests indicated the efficacy of this method of preparation to produce nano ZnO with novel insecticidal activity against the greater wax moth, Galleria rnellonella.

Geophysical lineaments of Western Ghats and adjoining coastal areas of central Kerala,southern India and their t.mporal development

A family of geophysical lineaments have been identified in ~15,000 km^2 in central Kerala between9 30'N to 10 45'N and 76 00'E to 77°30′E,integrating geophysical data with geological and geomorphological features. the characteristics of these lineaments in the magnetic and gravity fields and their derivatives have been analysed. the evolution of the lineaments has been traced to the t.mporal phases of global evolution of the region. A group of these faults have formed by reactivation of the deep-seated distensional fractures associated with and accompanying dyke emplacements during the episodic breakup of Gondwana at ~90 and 65 ma under distinctive mantle thermal regimes. It is possible that reactivation of these distensional faults may have started during the cooling interval of t.me between the two distensions in the 90 and 65 ma and post 65 ma periods and later in the Cenozoic, when the lineaments were enlarged to their present dimension, possibly under the influence of forces that led to the uplift of the western Ghats. these may extend down to the crust.mantle interface. A cluster of youngergeophysical lineaments has been generated by reactivation along the weak planes of transformation of the charnockitic rocks of the Precambrian. they seem to have a strike-slip character. they are devoid of any dyke association and were formed on a cold crust. they may be confined to the upper-middle *** were generated in the high intensity intra-plate palaeo-stress fields of the triple forces arising from(1) the back-thrust from the Himalayan Collision;(2) the impact of epeirogenic forces and related isostatic uplift of the Western Ghats and(3) the flexural isostatic uplifts due to surface loads of late mesozoic basaltic lavas and Cenozoic sedimentation in the coastal rifted basins in late Cenozoic, probably in the t.me span of 20 ma to the present, when the palaeostress fields were most intense.

An engine rubber mounting is one of the important parts of a vehicle. It is a function to isolate or absorb and to reduce vibration to the vehicle body thus to the passenger itself. Due to the engine compartments environment such as heat and massive vibration due to road conditions, the engine rubber mountings lifespan has been reduced. thus several studies have been conducted to upgrade the material lifespan to make it.more reliable and better engine mounting components. this paper presents the conceptual design of kenaf fiber polymer as aut.motive engine rubber mounting composites using the integration of theory of Inventive Problem solving(tRIZ). In this early stage, the solution is generated using 40 inventive principles and tRIZ contradiction method. the solution parameter for the specific design character is the selected using the morphological chart to develop a syst.matic conceptual design for the component. Four(4) innovative design concepts were produced and Analytic Network Process(ANP)methods were utilized to perform the multi-criteria decision-making process of selecting the best concept design for the polymer composite engine rubber mounting component.

Continuous segregation of binary heterogeneous solids in fluidized beds

Continuous segregation of a binary mixture of heterogeneous （different density） solids is carried out in a gas-solid fluidized bed. We investigate how gas velocity, solids feed rate, flotsam feed composition, bott.m discharge pipe diameter, and minimum fluidization velocity ratio of the flotsam to jetsam parti- cles influence the solids holdup, separation factor, and product quality （flotsam purity at the top outlet）. the results are interpreted in terms of solids holdup information. the results indicate that the separation factor decreases when the gas velocity, bott.m discharge pipe diameter, flotsam feed composition, or the minimum fluidization velocity ratio increase, while the separation factor increases as the solids feed rate increases. the product quality decreases when the gas velocity, solids feed rate, or minimum fluidization velocity ratio increase, while the product quality increases as the bott.m discharge pipe diameter or flot- sam feed composition increase. Correlations for predicting the separation factor and product quality are proposed using a logistic model for individual flotsam feed compositions, which satisfactorily compares with the present experimental data.

Convective heat and mass transfer in mHD mixed convection flow of Jeffrey nanofluid over a radially stretching surface with thermal radiation

mixed convection flow of magnetohydrodynamic(mHD) Jeffrey nanofluid over a radially stretching surface with radiative surface is studied. Radial sheet is considered to be convectively heated. Convective boundary conditions through heat and mass are employed. the governing boundary layer equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations. Convergent series solutions of the resulting problems are derived. Emphasis has been focused on studying the effects of mixed convection, thermal radiation, magnetic field and nanoparticles on the velocity, t.mperature and concentration fields. Numerical values of the physical parameters involved in the problem are computed for the local Nusselt and sherwood numbers are computed.
